I am updating my review after bringing in an online return and there was a rather odd situation that came of it. Purchased a 5 gallon container of water seal online as they did not carry it in the store for some reason yet the ratings for it were superior. After starting to work on the fence replacing old boards that were totally shot I ended up deciding to replace the entire fence with pretreated boards hence not needing the 5 gal container I purchased. Evidently there was some fine print when ordering online saying it could not be returned which I was unaware of. After dealing with the manager Troy in here he allowed me to get a store credit for it which was cool and appreciated. We must have dealt with 5 different customer service people and they all were very helpful in the process of our return. To Troy and his staff, great job in customer service. read more

This store is a necessary evil. It is hard to find assistance in the first place and they all have attitudes. I needed the most popular Simpson H2.5 and it took 15 minutes and a lot of attitude by the associate that really didn't want to help to find the most popular product tucked away on a top shelf out of sight. Then the price was 30% more than the other big box and did n' have a barcode so another delay at checkout. They also had no stock of the expensive item I came for. Is this a fluke - no! Something like this happens to me every visit. read more

if I could leave a zero star review, I would not hesitate. I made a reservation for an equipment rental and paid a deposit to guarantee that rental. The day before I was supposed to pick this up the reservation was canceled because "they had someone that was going to rent it longer and it was a better deal for Home Depot than my one day rental." I was told I could file a complaint with corporate. corporate said they can't do anything about it that was up to the manager and referred me back to the store. No one would take responsibility for canceling the rental. If they're going to conduct business like this, they should not take a deposit for a reservation and just do rentals on a first come first serve basis. They screwed up on our large carpet order! Installer gave them dimensions in YARDS (per usual) girl that took the order turned it in as FEET (clueless) therefore, we were short on carpet! In a larger area had to turn the carpet the other way (wasn't measured right!) and put THREE TO FOUR SEAMS in it instead of ONE! They're screw up cost us about $800!! Not to mention time, anxiety, and our house was torn up for a week. Depot did NOTHING to make this right or even acknowledge they screwed up! Suggestion wouldn't buy carpet from them! read more

No one there know anything about what they are selling. It's hard to believe. Apparently, they don't pay enough to even train them. Do not buy appliances from Home Depot in Loveland. They will tell you that an item can be returned, but then will tell you that it cannot once it is delivered. We are now stuck with an incorrect refrigerator that does not fit our family. After 30 years of dedication to Home Depot, we closed our account and will never shop there again. Can I give no stars?? Worst experience ever buying appliances. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT IN COLORADO!!!!! We purchased our refrigerator on 4/19 for our new construction home that did not come with a refrigerator. We needed to wait until today, 4/25 between 3-7p for our refrigerator to be delivered. I took time off of work to be available starting at 3. At 5:40p I got an update saying that our delivery was 2 stops away. 10 minutes later I got a notice that it was "attempted" but I was sitting by the door the entire time. I got on the phone with customer service who stated that it was noted that there was "flooding conditions on the pathway to the delivery address." This is Colorado in the afternoon, it literally sprinkled for 5 minutes. The pavement is completely dry. I messaged everyone in neighboring cities, Greeley, Loveland, Fort Collins, Johnstown and everyone said they had no flooding just a sprinkle for a few minutes. I spoke with a customer service representative who stated that my order can't be placed on the next delivery for tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday!! I'd have to wait through tonight, Thursday, until Monday!! And this is Colorado!! Of course it's going to rain in the afternoon! I said this was unacceptable and needed to speak with a supervisor. I was connected to a, unprofessional to say the least, supervisor named Damien. He was completely unhelpful and not empathetic to our situation at all. I have two young children and can't keep a jug of milk cold right now! We went grocery shopping to stock our fridge and now have no where to put it all. He talked over me, repeated himself over and over saying there was nothing he could do and validated the actions of the delivery drivers when it's CLEAR they canceled the last orders of the day to go home early completely screwing over the families that desperately needed these orders. Damien was the worst professional I've ever encountered and not sure how he landed in a supervisor role with his customer service skills being nonexistent. He was arrogant pretentious, conniving and appeared to get off on letting the customers down the way he was. Since there was no solution to rectify the situation, I decided to cancel the order and take my business elsewhere. We live in Colorado, what happens when it rains briefly on Monday? I would go without a refrigerator again, I couldn't take that risk. I just got done spending thousands of dollars on our home needs from Home Depot and am canceling every single one. I have been a long time Home Depot customer and will never return my business. This was the worst situation that's happened in our move and never want anyone to have to go through this. The Home Depot - Dry pavement while on the phone 5 minutes after they canceled my order for "flood weather" - Fences & Gates Near Me - Loveland, Colorado

The last time I shopped here, I used self-checkout. As I was about to scan my first item, I wasn't able to do so because the customer before me had scanned his $100+ item then walked out with it before completing the transaction. When I called this to the attention of the attendant, she shrugged and said there is little they can do. If Home Depot's policy is to turn a blind eye to theft, they are passing the costs on to customers in the form of higher prices. The store appears to have a video monitoring system in the checkout area, but do they really use it to have the cops track down perps after they're long gone? Doubt it. I just wonder if the expense of having an employee check receipts at the exit is greater than the losses that occur from shoplifting/theft. read more

This last Saturday my wife and I were shopping for something's for our new home. We picked out a few things that needed to be unlocked and then held up front until we were ready to check out. When we went to the checkout, our cashier Sarah couldn't find where they had put two of our items. She called for assistance to figure out where they were and no one answered. We understood that things were hectic at that time (Frankly, I've never seen this location as busy as they were). She then proceeded to go to the other side of the store to unlock and retrieve the items herself. In my opinion Sarah went above and beyond her required duties and was very kind and apologetic for the inconvenience. I appreciated her efforts and I hope she is recognized for her absolute wonderful customer service. Thank you for being amazing Sarah!!! read more

I used to love HD but they seem to have lost their way. Several visits now with zero service except at checkout. Tonight there were zero lumber carts in the store - not one except those loaded with inventory or loaded then abandoned. I had to go back out to the lot and get my own. No one to help with a placing a heavy countertop on the cart or with loading the countertop (a two person job) into the truck. On my last visit it took two calls and 20 minutes to get keys made. The other place has the same price but far better service. Not sure why I shop here anymore. This reminds me of what happened at Collins Cashway - they cut service, had record profits, lost customers like me, and eventually went bankrupt. Is HD on the same path? read more

Everyone has a favorite hardware store. This is mine. They are knowledgeable about everything and always helpful. I've been a tri weekly visitor since June probably. We decided to remodel our entire house and I can tell you that I never thought I'd have an emotional breakdown over the stress of picking out kitchen hardware. And have you ever researched toilets?! My God you have so much to consider. We bought 2 of our 4 toilets today and after much research and debate I was able to convince my husband that shorter toilets are better for going number 2. Always seem to have what I need and if they don't they have helped me with different ideas and other stores.

I went to Home Depot and discovered they switched how to receive a military discount. Now you have to have an account with Home Depot, and verify eligibility (which makes sense), but they have removed ANY other method of getting the discount. So now, you MUST have a smartphone to get the discount. This puts some veterans at a disadvantage because many of them don't use smart phones and nobody in store can help you because it's a QR code that goes to your account that changes each time you make a purchase. There is also a LIMIT now to how much you can accrue in discounts. At $400 in savings, you're maxed out for the year even though Home Depot's gross profit for the twelve months ending July 31, 2022 was $52.053B, a 6.9% increase year-over-year..... I've always been super grateful for any discount that can be given for serving; just makes me EXTREAMLY SAD to see that when "tough times" hit, these perks are the first to go due to corporate greed. Update. Nearly a year and a half ago, I had perhaps the worst retail experience of my life in this location. It appears many others had some terrible experiences around that same time. Since that time, I have seen a dramatic positive change in the store and I'd even say that I have had many 5 star experiences in the past 8 months there. Debbie (now retired) restored my faith in the place with her spectacular customer service. Since she retired, I've begun interacting again with more of the other employees and I'm continually impressed by my interactions. I don't know what has changed (if anything) since January 2021, but I'm going to have to say that that was a very impressive turnaround. At this point after about 8 months of straight five star experiences, it is fair to update my previous review to reflect what I think the turnaround deserves. read more

As far as Home Depot locations go, this one is as good as any other, in my experience. We've been here quite often in recent weeks as we are renovating our bathroom, our first DIY project, and working with our landlord to do so. We've done both regular in store purchasing and also buy online pick up in store and both have gone well. Returns/customer service staff is accommodating and quick. The only downside we've experienced is a lack of employees around to help - either in aisles available for questions, or for help loading items into the car. We had a cashier request assistance for us to load and waited over 10 minutes before giving up and carrying it ourselves with some family members' help. read more

Great customer service, friendly staff and you can tell everyone participates as a team. I heard it said, "if HD built a 30 foot wall around it's building, I'd drive to Lowe's, get a 30 foot ladder, and go back to Home Depot." I got online to verify they had what I need so I didn't waste any time and knew exactly where to go to get what I needed only to see they had all the aisles blocked that I needed to access and they wouldn't let me in because they had stand up forklift on the next aisle over and they wouldn't let me get what I needed. Every time I try to give Home Depot my business I can't access what I need. I am done trying and will give my business to someone who wants it. So irritated. When they feel their time is more valuable the their customers and can't stop what their doing for 1 minute to assist it just tells me they don't care about their customer. read more

We checked out the second week of Jan and used a person vs self check out. Robin was our cashier and was so confused and rude. What we could have done in 1 min took maybe 4-5 min with many rude comments and never once using eye contact or a smile. We never even knew that she was done and I needed to pay until I asked if there was an issue with the barcode on the item. She then stated NO THIS IS THE AMOUNT YOU NEED TO PAY using her finger to point to her screen. Man, if you need to work, don't do checkout...you should not be near the public. We ordered carpeting for a large portion of our home including replacement of floor boards (confirmed at least three times with Home Depot) and it was very poorly implemented with poor communication. The people that were supposed to install the new floorboards never showed up and we had to escalate to the manager at Home Depot. We tried calling the Home Depot contractor directly at least six times and there was no response. In addition, The carpet installers that Home Depot contracts with did not remove the old floorboards before installing the carpet. So, when eventually they showed up days later, it left a gap between the carpet in the floorboard. The female customer service assistant at Home Depot was unsympathetic to us having to live for a number of days with all of our furniture crammed into one room because the baseboard installers never showed up. read more

My wife went into Longmont line cation and was told by their lament person one set of facts. Since we didn't want travel costs she went to Loveland and ran into the most chauvinist employee Moyer. We had property measures for carpet to reopen ticket he wanted to charge $50 dollars even though Loveland had done it without charge. He also wanted to charge about her $50 for pattern on lament. He then informed her it would be 3 months to get it. Longmont had it n stock and he did not want to do a store to store transfer. In addition she was informed that they only had one person to lay it and they were 5 months out. So I called and asked the same employees the same questions and guess what? Totally differs story. The best hardware store in Loveland, though sometimes this location doesn't have items that are available at the Home Depot in Fort Collins. I do NOT recommend buying an appliance through Home Depot if they are going to subcontract out to Forward Final Mile. Forward Final Mile had two agents come out to install a washer and dryer. The agents did not install the appliances correctly OR they installed a defected washer. The washer will not power on (creating a sewer gas smell) and has scuff marks on the front loading side. Also, the units were not pushed far enough into my laundry space, so I can not put my door back on. Lastly, the agents borrowed Windex and did not return it to me nor did they bother to clean up their mess - screws and paper were left on my carpet. I am not one to usually Yelp bad reviews, but I am at my wit's end. I have been on the phone for a week now trying to get in touch with an agent to set up a time for re-installation. Also, Mike, from Home Depot (not sure his title, but he works in delivery or installation customer service) does not follow up nor does he do his due diligence. So, unless you want to do other people's job, do not use Home Depot / Forward Final Mile. Side note: though the agents didn't install the appliances properly, they were friendly. read more

The guy in the carpet section copped an attitude as soon as I brought up price matching, he even there a fit of sorts. When the manager was called he completely changed his tune, until the manager left, then it was right back to being a jerk. The price matching is an absolute joke, they will only match EXACT carpets. When I explained that the lowes carpet was an equal product they found me a nice downgraded version to price match. When he then tried to skimp on the pad by downgrading it to an inferior product from what lowes was offering I walked out. I By the end of it, with his smug attitude, he was lucky I didn't end up in jail. Also wasn't a huge fan of the guy who came to measure and offer his unsolicited input in my design decisions. As a whole they suck. Lowes gets my business solely from now on. read more

This Home Depot screwed up an order of mine for a $2500 refrigerator/ freezer. Took them a week to deliver and then took the day off as I was 1st on the list and by 5 pm they still weren't there. No phone call , no one could tell me anything finally found out the driver wasn't comfortable delivering to my home as I live in the mountains near Estes Park. They then had to get the delivery company to release the fridge, have someone drive to Denver to pick it up and then they'd drop it off at my house but not install it. This has cost me time off work, time at work on the phone, food rotting and emotional frustration. I will not ever do business with them again. Luckily I have great friends that are going to install it for me as an older female I can't do it by myself. Please rethink any big purchases from Home Depot and go to Lowe's!! read more

This store is fantastic in service and product (second only to maybe the Arvada store). The Pro desk people are very knowledgeable but overall the store has staff that seems quite experienced. I wanted to have a small engine tuned up and the oil changed. In spite of Home Depot selling this item currently they tell me they don't work on them. Funny that my Son who works for Home Depot in Denver says they do work on them and it is on the computer list that says they do. The kid behind the counter is nasty and has no idea what he is doing. Imagine what they do to the equipment they try to repair. I will take this equipment to my Son's Home depot store some 100 miles round trip to get the job done by someone I know has their head on straight and will be respectful! read more

Run to Lowes. Customer service has had its challenges at Home Depot but from time to time my husband and I try to give them another try. Tonight we went to purchase of a large tool chest. Searching for help, only to find another customer on the same quest we asked a employee to help us find someone for tool department. You could hear the request on loud speaker of store for assistance in tool department. After waiting another ten minutes we asked for store manager, total wait time half hour. Manager came and apologized for no service, several employees had called in. The manager assisted for a few minutes but when I went back to find him he was assisting another customer, waited patiently, then saw him talking on his cell phone, gave up and drove to Lowe's and had best customer service experience ever, with every employee we came in contact with. We were so frustrated with our Home Depot experience that it was refreshing to return to Lowes for an amazing experience. Every employee at Lowes had better customer service skills and etiquette. The layout of store is better organized, better lighting. Employees really like working at Lowe's, management must really be doing something right, customers can see, feel and experience a dramatic difference. read more

I was there today, Wednesday afternoon on September 16th-for the most part, it was very hard to find anyone that could help... We finally found the ladder we needed. We had a woman cashier from Egypt to check us out-she is a terrible human being. She attempted to run three different of my cards-it kept saying "transaction canceled". She canceled the entire purchase and wanted to re-run everything. Paul, very graciously, had already put the ladder in our car. She told me, very rudely to go get the ladder back out. NO! I can't lift it by myself-so I went and got the ladder's sticker off to re-run. When I came back in, we tried again with no luck. An older woman came up to ask if she could leave her cart while she went back to her car and get her money-the cashier YELLED at her! This poor older lady was in tears and asked her not to yell at her. SHE CONTINUED YELLING AT HER TO MOVE HER CART! This is straight abuse! I flagged Paul over, he was wonderful. He opened his register, ran my card, and done. I will NEVER go back to the Loveland Home Depot again. I can not believe they would allow an employee to be so abrasive and ABUSIVE to a customer. read more

I'm dumbfounded by the ineptness of the Loveland store. Corporate needs to check on this location to see if they have a clue of what they are doing. I don't like how Lowes it always lacking in what I need but it's beginning to be an option here in Loveland. We've spent an incredible amount at this Home Depot and one the on in Denver and the Loveland store is lacking in a big way. Most of it has to do with their costumer service and having adequate records. Multiple times I've been in to check on various issues and it always becomes an issue of finding my info. Mother's Day 2017 we went to get some flowers and gardening supplies and after we filled our cart we went to checkout and found the lines to checkout in the garden center were all the way down the aisle (about 10 deep). We found the fact that they only had two of the four registers open irritating so we went inside to checkout only to find they only had one of the four registers open and lines just as long. I was so irritated that for the first time I just left my cart and went to Lowe's. I was very pleased to find cheaper prices and four of four registers open and no one waiting in line. read more

I am on a fixed income and bought a storm.door here, I payed 169.00 for installation, when the person who was installing it, Mark Millen came to my house to install it, he took the old door off and stood it by his truck, he called Home Depot and they called me saying he needed another 85.00 to install because the screw holes didn't match up, I asked Mark what if I dont want to pay it, he, smirked and said he would leave, he would have left me without a door on my house, do not trust this guy he is a liar and a thief. read more
