It is a shame that crime and shoplifting is so bad in East Cobb that this Home Depot had had to lock up its inventory in cages to keep it from walking out the door. There is a long wait for employee assistance to select a Ryobi and other products in the garden section. Then once you finally get your item, you have to wait to be escorted to check out. No thank you. I'm a big fan of Home Depot but I would never patronize this location again. There are too many better options. I commented about the situation to a very sarcastic and unconcerned employee in the self checkout line and received a very flippant response. I hope East Cobb can get their shop lifting problem under control. If not, business will no doubt suffer. read more

This is the best Home Depot on this side of town . I have never been to a Home Depot with more than 1 level before. The customer service is outstanding here,the associates are all ready and willing to help. The store is organized and clean. Their restroom was immaculate. I definitely wasn't expecting a super clean bathroom with the traffic the store gets. They have an awesome selection of lighting fixtures much more than the other home depots I've been to. Their appliance section upstairs is large and offers a large variety of refrigerators and washers and dryers from an array of price ranges. Also, they offer a military discount. If you are looking for supplies for construction or just trying to add some nicer fixtures to your home, this is the Home Depot to come to. read more

They have called 6 times and no one has shown up. Currently waiting 45 minutes. They need to hire staff. One of the better Home Depot's I have been to..well organized. Staff friendly and want to help. My only beef is they don't have enough staff in the aisles to help. Example: trying to get wire from the cage as they lock it up now.. it can take forever to find someone. But they also have way too many people helping people check out. Maybe they should add to the departments and less people to "help" self check out. Pro and garden is great and very helpful. read more

Ordered a sink washer set to fix a leak in my only bathroom. Ordered, got confirmation, next day delivery or so I thought. Web site said Delivery 8/20, never left vendor. Called Homer Depot, told it takes 48 hours to get the washers. So web site lied. Would have been delivered 2 days after order. Meanwhile I can't shower. Went to Lowes instead, they had the gaskets in-stock. Never ordering from that lying company again! read more

Even though I am not changing my rating at all, I still wanted to update my review for Home Depot to talk about my recent in-store pickup experience. I had ordered a Halloween item online , as it was the only store that still had it in stock in the area, for pickup. The employees were so kind, and all I had to do was show them the confirmation email. The whole system is so quick and convenient. They have glass dividers between the employees and customers, so you feel super safe COVID-19 wise, as well as a mask mandate. Curbside pickup was also an option, but I felt better about going in just to make sure it was the correct item. I loved the whole experience, and look forward to using it again in the future ! read more

Today is Fourth of July. Went to go clean my 10+ year old grill. Last year a squirrel chewed through our cover. And look what I found... a completely rusted out grill 20 minutes before I needed to cook. Home Depot we went. I got the attention of a floor associate by the name of Alan Baker. He was extraordinarily helpful in guiding us to where I could find the grill we were looking for. He allowed us to buy the floor model of the one we liked because it was not in stock. Buying the floor model meant we didn't have to put it together ...but the issue we had were the shelves on either side that would have to come off before we get it in the car. He was kind enough to get a screwdriver and take them off for us and then screw the screws back into the grill so we wouldn't lose them. That was a step nobody would've taken if I had gone to Lowe's, Ace Hardware or Walmart. Thank you Alan for allowing me to cook dinner albeit a little late. He also showed a cover and bbq tools. Super helpful, very friendly guy. Just another reason to go back to your Home Depot! That was a $400 sale that he made. Had he not taken the shelves off we couldn't of bought the grill. We would've had to walk out empty-handed. Thanks Alan! I'm sorry you had to work on the Fourth of July but just know how completely awesome you are! ***I want to shout out to the guy who helped us get it into the car I'm sorry I didn't catch your name. He had blonde hair about 5' 9 with a very nice smile. I know how incredibly hot it was outside. Just know your hard work doesn't go noticed as well! Thanks again Home Depot you have great associates. Let's not pretend that you enforce your staff wearing masks. One was completely unmasked and I had to ask him directly to put it in so I could walk past him to get to the register from the garden center (he was busy chatting with another associate). Seconds later, another employee walks by me with no mask in sight. When I called the manager, he seemed put off that I wasn't busy taking names of his noncompliant staff and risking getting Covid. Run in the mill Home Depot but with terrible customer service. The staff on the floor is helpful but when you go to check out there will be lanes open but the cashiers will ignore you and carry on with their private conversation. I had to ask the cashier if she was ready for me- she finally acknowledged me and the others waiting to be helped. 4 staff members just standing there with their phones our.. This hasn't ever been an exemplary place to shop, just a place convenient if you don't need help. Was at their "paint department " today to buy paint for a door. Employee ""CHRIS" was in a paint aisle talking on the phone... talking and talking. I indicated I needed help. He nodded his head in acknowledging my request. Then wandered off to the paint desk to help another customer. I wait and wait, finally going to "customer(no) service" and asked if someone could help. Response? Had a good experience ordering online our new kitchen sink. The pick up was easy and it was delivered faster than expected. I think it was a fair price for such a nice sink. I do wish they had a larger variety of more trendy sinks in store to at least look at when ordering. I am taking away 1 star for the lack of examples in store. Always a great experience. Called during a snow storm because we had a busted water line. Manager stayed 5 minutes after closing just so I could get what I needed. Another time: Was working on an old house downtown Atlanta. The driveway was so narrow I couldn't pull in. I asked the store Mgr if I could borrow the wood shopping cart to get the lumber up the driveway to the house so I wouldn't have to take each piece by hand. So he loaned me the wood cart. Worst customer service I have experienced!!! I have been to this store at least once every week for the past 3 months. Most of the employees (can't say all) are either completely uninterested in helping, completely ignorant or in many cases, extremely condescending. I have received a lot of "mansplaining" from the older gentlemen that work there even when I go with information and I'm pretty handy when it comes to painting, restoring, etc. Case in point: I needed to fix my old wooden rocking chair and gave the guy the measurements for the wood piece I needed. It's round so it really only has two measurements. He kept asking for a third one, which I knew was going to be EXACTLY like one of the other two measures because it's round. Another time, I asked in the gardening department for children's gloves. The lady blankly stared at me and said they didn't have any. She said to just try the women's. When she walked me over there, guess what? A whole column of children's gardening glove. Another time, I went looking for a bathroom vanity. Not ONE single person in sight to help. There is a commercial on TV which is the couple searching for someone at a HD like store to help with appliances, and when they FINALLY find someone, the guy says he is from another department. Well, they should've shot the commercial with these HD employees. These are only 2 examples of the cluelessness or indifference of these employees. I will give them one bit of good review...the people at exchanges and the cashiers are usually really friendly and serviceable. They are the saving grace of the store. read more

I typically have nothing to say about this store! I think the people who work here are rude or too busy with side conversations to help customers, but today i was proven otherwise. I got the bright idea to paint my dining room. So i stopped at Home Depot last week to grab some samples. There was a guy there working but he didn't help... he was talking to other workers. I grabbed a few colored samples and went home to decide which i wanted. Today i returned and was not only greeted with a smile but helped by Jay Goree!! He literally helped me from start to finish. Although i picked the color, he explained finishes to me. He asked what i was painting, if i needed help with picking out other materials, and a few other things. He didn't point to the aisle and tell me what to get, he WALKED me down the aisle and showed me what to get and explained why. He didn't pick the most expensive things, he suggested the BEST things based on my project. I walked away feeling like i learned something at Home Depot, AND EMPOWERED to want to try a DIY project, not like i was taken advantage of or frustrated. I wish this store had more people like Jay in all the departments because it's needed. read more

Whatever you do ..DO NOT USE THE HOME DEPOT INSTALLATION SERVICES FOR HEATING AND COOLING! They use a 3rd party for this service called ARS RESCUE ROOTER. First of all, it takes 2 tries to even get an appt. scheduled, then they do a NO SHOW, not once but TWICE. So, you decide to give it a third try because it has the Home Depot name behind it, and they finally show up, late, but they do show! However, they try to sell you all this extra stuff like Nest thermostats, etc., which of course I buy because I am a sucker for technology. So they take my order and want "immediate" payment! I tell them I will pay when they come back to install (3 days later) since their track record hasn't been so great. So they say "OK, and we well be back Monday to repair air conditioner and install equipment" and yes, THEY ARE A NO SHOW! And BTW, that FREE HOME DEPOT ESTIMATE you were offered, is only free if you buy a NEW air conditioner. Otherwise, you are getting a $99 charge for them to come out!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN HOME DEPOT FOR EVEN PARTNERING WITH THIS TOTALLY LAME COMPANY, ARS! Not only am I not using any more Home Depot Services, but I do my shopping now at LOWES! I never thought I would say this, but I love home depot! or maybe I love this home depot location only.. who knows, but this has to be the best location out of all of atlanta. you're not always greeted when you enter the door, but staff are always so courteous, hospitable, and friendly throughout the aisles. even when they're restocking, they'll stop to say "hello", ask how you're doing... or if you need help finding anything. and when you're actually lost, everyone is so well trained and educated about the store. it amazes me every time. every staff seems to know whatever item you may be looking for and what aisle(s) it is located at. they will sometimes even walk you there themselves. now, that's outstanding service! I've never had any problems at this home depot that I can mention. store is clean, well organized, and stocked with friendly and helpful staff. read more

Parking may be the biggest hurtle you experience here! Because inside the store it was all smooth sailing, at least for me! I had no trouble locating an employee to ask for help locating my items. There were over 8 standing at the front helping customers. Also there were more scattered throughout the store. I asked for help 3 times and always got courteous and good information each time! Check out was super fast due to the wonderful Self Checkout kiosks. The cashier even helped me scan my lumber!! Yay! Winding my way through the endless array of cars in the parking lot was the longest part of my shopping experience here! Definitely returning here for all my DIY projects!! read more

Today I found myself at the Pro Desk at the Merchants Walk Home Depot in Marietta, Georgia. I nice employee named Champion stopped to ask if I needed help. I needed some wood cut and some questions answered and Champion was great at both. Soon I was headed to checkout with my cut wood, a few other items and and a better idea of the scope of my next project. I really appreciated that Champion took the time to really explain what all would be involved in putting up cupboards in my garage and he did so in a respectful, detailed and unpatronizing way. Terrible customer service. I called and asked what is the process for renting their vans. The employee said come in, pay $50, and what you don't eat up in moving time, you get back. Cool. I drive to the store, park around back near the rentals and ask the employee can I reserve the van. He tells me that he doesn't know how to make the reservation and I have to drive back to the front of the store and ask them. What do you know, they said they don't do that type of thing in customer service. I have to go BACK down to rentals and ask them. A new guy was back there when I went and he was super off. It's like all of the employees were oxygen deprived or something. He stared at me and said "you want to do it now, the van?" What??? I said, "yes I want to reserve the van for tomorrow". He shakes his head no. I said "I can't reserve it?" "No, we don't reserve at all period on weekends." WHY DIDN'T 1 of the 3 employees I had already encountered mention this?! Particularly when I called and asked about the policies?! Completely incompetent. I'm not returning to this location. read more

I swear this location is lavishly staffed because the wives of HD execs are likely to drop by. Have done a good bit of biz here, but it is still fundamentally buyer beware. Had some bathroom upgrades done, but the installer had to bail on the sink because the default fittings weren't compatible. No hint of the that in work-up. Toilets went in fine (and qualified for a $300 Cobb Co. water rebate to boot) so not a complete mess. Also had $1200 worth of doors and $4K worth of basement carpeting installed -- both were during specials that can really save some cash. My chief aim in going this route is that unlike with an independent contractor, there is a corporate hierarchy to lash and embarrass if something goes wrong. With an operation this big, you kinda have to know what you are doing before you undertake any project -- big or small. Yeah, some HD folks will have good advice, but some not. And sometimes HD just will not stock the range of products you need to get the job done -- tile being a prime example. Still, as a first-pass stop for simple stuff, I head here. read more

Home Depot was my favorite store until I decided to buy carpet. The person who helped me was very helpful and I found the carpet I wanted, got a HD card and paid for it. THEN....I read the reviews for carpet installation, should have done this first, and was horrified, so called to cancel order. The very nice lady ( I thought) talked to assured me every thing would be fine, she will stand behind them and assured me she was in control. I agreed to continue as planned. Everything in the reviews was true ,only worse. The installers didn't show, after sending me 3 emails reminding me. I called HD and cancelled again, and saw the real side-not nice. Young man and garden supply but out of his way to help me find the correct mulch at the correct price that I will have been searching for high and low. The manager Frank refuse to return my special order items from their store because I am not the original purchaser, even thought I am the owner and have the contractor to purchase it. Also Another Home Depot manger from Barrett told me to go back to the original store to get my refund and this showing it a fault statement. The home depot stores it's wasting my time and money.
