I love Home Depot. I could spend all of my paychecks here! I have visited this location multiple times since moving to Medina and the store always has what I need. Every time I walk in, a bunch of home improvement projects run through my mind, which requires conscious effort to block out. Focus, Daniel son! I buy light bulbs, ceiling fans, light fixtures, carpet, rugs, window treatments, cement, garden tools, fertilizer, pest control supplies, and a bunch of other stuff from Home Depot. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. They have the best self checkout touch screen I've ever seen. And the option to send my receipt to myself via email is great. read more

Home Depot has items for all sorts of home needs. We stopped in so my mom could get some wood boards to create some signs for her front porch. One of the employees cut the boards down for her because she didn't want them quite as tall as they were. They seemed pretty busy today. All of the employees were wearing masks and they had plastic dividers at the registers. read more

I went to the Fairlawn in Akron Ohio for EZ Block mounting system. The store showed 9 in stock, but when I got there they did not have any. I went to customer service because the gentleman helping me in that department, said the store over in Medina had 12 available. I asked customer service person to call and make sure they had them for the price of $12.38 which is what the store in fairlawn showed as the price. The Medina store did in fact have them and put on hold for me at customer service. I dove the 20 miles to get them and when I went to check out the item scanned for $18.38. When I said that they were $12.38 in fairlawn the csa person said we do not price match between stores. That is the stupidest BS I ever heard. Needless to say I did not get the 8 blocks I needed. I will not deal with Home Depot anymore, I will go out of my way to give my business to Lowe's or Menards. read more

I get it, things are crazy right now. But I wait nearly an hour for curbside pick up only to get a bag of sand with a hole in it. Got sand all over the back of my car. They patch it, but then there's a second hole in the bag so I got more sand in the car. No apology at all. I'll be driving to Wadsworth or Brunswick from now on. read more

I stopped shopping at Home Depot. Though I like their products, the owners just don't get it. People are walking around without a mask and arguing with staff without mask. Again, I'm writing a review about this disgrace of a store in the city of Medina. Don't give me the bull crap of understaffed, you have plenty of people walking around that store, seemingly with no purpose whatsoever!! It's the management or purchaser!! I went to get a 24" x4" piece of duct. I pulled out onto the floor at least 60 3" pieces from the 3", 4" and 5" bins...... not one 4".... How can you possibly stock shelves, without seeing your inventory correctly??? How do you not know your inventory, and realize you have 60+ pieces of one and none of the others??? Do your registers not keep track of this information??? Your not a store for contractors, your barely a store for homeowners! You are a disgrace to this city, and this county!!! As a contractor I spend upwards of 40-50,000 a year at home improvement stores. I will no longer be wasting my time at your store! I already know I have to go to Brunswick or wadsworth to get what I need!!! The extra 20 minute drive, is wayyyy better than dealing with constant dissatisfaction!!! Epic failure!!! DO BETTER!!! I needed 4 hoses for a faucet change. My size was empty among the 60 other hoses. I asked an employee Marylin for help. She checked overstock above and no luck. She checked inventory and said there was 72 in stock. She didn't give up and spent a lot of time helping me. She found them next aisle over under faucets. The only size hose there.....20 .....all by themself. 15 minutes of great help and did not give up. Thanks Marylin read more

Lacks customer service!!! Beginning with store manager...I was scheduled and paid for an Installation of a new dishwasher. Never was told or explained what the installation involved. Make a long story short the installers (no masks) tracked grass clippings into my house were not able to install the dishwasher due to a small piece of baseboard. Was not allowed to remove it while they were there... so I told them to hook my old dishwasher. Well there was so much grass on my floor I didn't find the two screws and bracket left behind until I was cleaning up. Went to Home Depot and spoke with Greg and was told" didn't know where they came from so wouldn't be able to send anyone out to install the screws and bracket". read more

I love the Medina Home Depot. I have probably visited at least 100 times doing various home projects and every trip is a pleasure. The store is well stocked, clean and stuff is easy to find. Ed in plumbing is especially helpful. Plus they accept PayPal which is really convenient for me. Only the ability to use Apple Pay would be better. I feel fortunate to live near such a well run Depot! Home Depot must read Yelp because they now accept Apple Pay! read more

This is the worst home depot in the area. Staff treat you like you're a bother to help and run away at every chance. I used to work at HD sometime ago at another location and i can tell you from experience that this location is so far off company goals and standard it's not even funny. Don't waste your time here, you're better off going up the road to Center Rd where staff know what they're doing and always greet you with a smile. read more

I had a terrible experience trying to have Home Depot install laminate flooring. I came in a week ago asking about how much it would cost to buy flooring from home Dept and have them install it. They told me in person I would only have to pay for flooring and .89 cents per square feet and that would cover everything. So for 1,000 square feet at 2.79 per square foot for pergo outlast and .89 cents per square foot instillation would come out to just under $4k. Their quote was $6,200. I almost lost it. They have so many little hidden cost they never tell you about until you are ready to purchase everything. I came in frustrated trying to speak with management and all they told me is there was nothing they could do and that is what the cost is. No apology for and confusion and they refused to give me my money back for the quote I had to pay for. I will never shop here again. Screw this place it is cheaper for me to have an independent contractor to do the job read more

JUST went in there to ask about laminate flooring. Wasn't pleased with the help I received. The middle aged (40-50's) guy was VERY rude and cocky! I explained to him I just had a room sized from different company and I just wanted a rough estimate on how much it was going to be all together. Instead he gave me a hard time and just gave me prices for each thing! I'm sorry, but do I look like a human Calculator and then tell me it's going to cost about the same as the other company, but how is $1.89 sqft going to cost the same as $3.89 sqft???? I guess this guy must not want my business and since I'm a woman I have no idea what I'm talking about! read more

Good place for garden and home supplies. The prices are decent. Staff is friendly. They could be a little more knowledgeable in the garden department about their stock. Garden section is a little congested. They don't carry everything as is in the ads. You sometimes have to visit several stores to find the item on sale. read more

The store overall lacks customer service. Went to the flooring area, got someone to help then him and another employee started talking and walked away. I seriously wanted flooring for 1100 SQ ft. I had to find someone to assist who ended up being helpful. He said next step was to have measurements...which I had to pay $35 for. I get it. But then the guy came out a few days later and spent an hour, measuring and documenting on his tablet. Then he left saying someone would be tough within 24 house with measurements and cost. I heard nothing for a week. I then got a phone call from someone saying they need to come out and re-measure. I had already found someone and was very frustrated with Home Depot. I told her, no thank you! She did not offer refund either.....I will not be using Home Depot again nor recommend to anyone. I guess all the money they make goes to the top and not to train employees on customer service . read more

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher and stove with full warrantees for 5 years in May. Dishwasher is not working since Nov 7. Had 2 servicemen spent hours on phone with Samsung and Home Depot. Keep getting the run around. This is unacceptable. Also had flooring issue where they quoted one price in error and then said they never said that. Clearly the place to go in Medina. As usual, was treated with kindness, respect and help. I need to replace a water heater. Local plumbing co. Advised me it's special and will cost about $2500 for installed, seem high? Went to Sears, was passed over by employee to assist 2 men befor I walked out. HOME DEPOT, I wish I had gotten his name, but it's always the same, if I have a question they are happy to help - don't make me feel like my gender changes how I am treated. I Highly recommend HOME DEPOT IN MEDINA. Particularly if you actually need assistance! Consistant in Thier treatment of customers and quality of help. Good stuff! Thank you! read more

I will NEVER do business with this store's door department. In July of 2010 we purchased closet doors for our master bedroom. Mirrored closet doors: one closet was the width of 2 bi-fold doors; the other closet was half that size, requiring 1 set of bi-fold doors. The purchase went smoothly enough and about $900 later, we had nice doors in our room which we were happy to have to reflect the little light/window space in the room. Flash forward to 2014 and I notice that despite the doors being fully closed, it is not a straight-on reflection I'm seeing. Upon further inspection, I see that the mirrored glass had pulled away from the backing. I contacted the store in Oct. of 2014, submitting pictures and even footage of the "movement" of the mirror from the backing of the door and I am STILL trying to resolve this matter in early 2016! First there was an issue with the manufacturer and them being non-responsive. That took the first 6-8 months -- just getting the manufacturer to respond. Countless people have been into our bedroom to see what we were talking about. I've had more "no responses" to calls I placed to my contact at HD than I can count. When she did call back she kept telling me about "light at the end of the tunnel" and "we're getting close!" (And to any doubters out there, I still have many of her pointless messages on my phone as proof.) Finally, I was told that the manufacturer did not make that style of mirrored glass doors any longer but they had a similar item that looked just like it. Well, when they first arrived at HD it took forever for HD to call me to let me know they were in and to schedule an installer. When we finally got on the schedule and thought we were going to finally get our door(s), the installer gets there and says that the wrong size was ordered! Someone can't read original measurements from the original order and get it right! So we had to wait again. At this point we're about 10 months in from the initial call to the store to get this resolved! Again, numerous calls later and another installer came out to re-measure. And a few weeks later, we got a knock on our front door -- no call to schedule it, nothing -- the installer just showed up about 8:30 a.m. to install the doors. Well, he installed them, alright! I got home and was disgusted by what I saw. First, there was a gap in between the 2 bi-fold doors that I could practically get my hand in, it was THAT wide. The handles were on BACKWARDS. The doors themselves do NOT match that which we had the first time around (remember, we were told they looked "just like them"): the former doors were "seamless". In other words, when closed, you saw what appeared to be one solid mirror (with the exception of the handles). The replacement doors had a white framing around each door that looks absolutely hideous. Not to mention that the white framing looks very beat up if you look close at it. Finally, the two replacement doors do NOT match the single door to the smaller closet. I immediately called and complained not only about what we got as replacement doors, but about the fact that the installer showed up without notice and we had to cancel an appointment we had for taking our auto in to be fixed. This was at the 1-year mark in this entire process. And, quite honestly, if THIS was what we would be stuck with, we didn't want them and told HD so. Another installer came out to assess the matter. He all but AGREED with us in our complaint and said he'd provide his report back to the department and we'd be hearing from them. I let a week go before I called and I got the runaround AGAIN. But NOW the voicemail message that is at this department head's voicemail promises a return call within 24 hours. Just a completely empty promise. We went to the store and complained in person with receipts in hand and was told by the store assistant manager that they'd look into it and get back to us. Again, no one got back to us so I placed a call to the Assistant Store Manager who was incredibly RUDE. She told me that I "can't expect them to do anything when the doors are 8 years old." The doors were FOUR years old when I began this process and when I pay that much money, I expect things to last a little longer than 4 years! My parents house is 60+ years old and their closet doors have never had to be replaced or repaired yet! Being this particular Assistant Manager's last day due to moving, my case was AGAIN handed off to someone else and to this moment -- 16 months later -- I am STILL waiting for my matter to be resolved to my liking...either in refund of partial cost/payment or another set of doors that are to my liking or that match the originals. Nope, I would NEVER refer/endorse/give a positive rating for this particular HD or department. It has been a nightmare from the get-go. read more
