No one else even dared to help or concern themselves with anything but avoiding eye contact with those people waiting in this long line. Drive 20 minutiae up the road and save yourselves from a HORRIBLE experience. This has got to be the Worst customer service in the business. I am in residential home building, so I interact with Home Depot's on a daily basis, and this one ruins it for them all! I called to with an item number to see if it was still in stock (to save me a trip driving and it not be there). When a young lady answered the phone and took the item number and said she would check. Well I spent the next 20 min on hold and she finally just hung up on me. So I called again and figured I'd start driving up to the store. No one answered the phone for almost 15 min when I arrived to the store. Then someone hung the phone up again. "Oh well they were probably busy" that's what I figured until I walked into the store and it was completely dead. And not only that but the employees were joking around and making fun of a customer who was having trouble with a product and asked for help (in the video attached). I am absolutely appalled by the way that the employees here conduct themselves. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. And clearly had no self awareness in the way they talk in front of their customers. I used to enjoy Home Depot so much. My mother and I purchased a microwave,I was so excited to have bought this microwave to place over my stove.Three times our delivery had been cancelled and on the day of delivery was informed that they could not installed the microwave because of tile backsplash, another disappointed.I strongly believe that this company only wanted to sell a product because their hired technician could not do the job at hand . read more

Horrible experience! Waited in line to get in due to Covid 19. Got inside, no carts. Asked worker stationed by door. She said, "they're all Outside". No offer to get a cart. Went out myself, got a cart from a leaving customer. No one wiping them down and no station that I could wipe it myself. Thankfully, I have hand sanitizer in my purse and wiped it down. Later my husband needed a flat Cart. Went looking. Again...he had to go outside to get his own. Again...not cleaned. Realized as we left, they weren't getting the carts because they didn't want to clean them. When we left, every cart corral in the parking lot was full and carts all over the parking lot. Will absolutely not be returning to this location. My husband, a friend, and I went in. I purchased 4 light bulbs, a small pink stuff, an air freshener, and a small tool bag in self checkout. Instead of putting all the items in a plastic bag, I put in the tool bag. An associate came to the register and checked the bag. Which is fine except she checked it not once, not twice, but three times. And even went as far as checking the sku numbers. It's like she wanted to find a stolen item. It was ridiculous, rude, and embarrassing. I wish I got her name. It was a middle aged Latina, heavy set. I get checking receipts occasionally but this was a bit much. Self checkout at all the registers. People probably ended loosing their jobs and/or hours. Home Depot wants us to ring ourselves out and bag our own items except we do not get an employee discount. Yeah, I'm sorry to say but I'll be going to Lowe's. Also, it's like pulling teeth to find some assistance. I needed a chain cut. Took me hunting down 3 people before I did it myself. Then I needed a key cut same thing. This time my wife had to walk the store to find help. I was in here today and I want to brag on a young man that helped me. His name was Trent I the garden area and he was so professional and sweet. I ask this older gentleman for help first and he was rude and just blew me off. And the said thing is he said he was a manager. But anyway Trent went the extra step to make sure I found what I need and was nice enough to take it to my car. Thank you for a well done job and your professionalism Trent you was great. ONLINE ORDER We ordered $1500 of patio furniture online from Home Depot and they didn't tell us that part of it, the chairs and cushions for the dining set, wouldn't be delivered. We received the chaise lounges and the cushions. We received the slip covers and the dining table. But not the chairs and cushions that go with the table. So I contacted the online customer service and received an email telling me how much the responder liked the dining set we had ordered and that the order was waiting to be scanned. We were told we would hear from them in 24 hours. *crickets* It's been over a week and nothing. Not even someone calling to put me on hold or hang up on me. At least then I would know Home Depot knows I exist. Nope...nothing. So, back to emailing and going online and making phone calls and praying that someone at Home Depot will take a little pride in what they do. **by the way, they sent me a survey and I answered it in a forthright and helpful manner in the laughable hope they might respond to that. If you call on the phone you wait as long as 20-30 min, if you are inside the store, there is not a soul around willing to help. My husband needed help to get some boards, I had to go get someone to help him, that someone said," wait I will be right back" and never came back. Most home depots are pretty standard and uniform and this one is no different. The selection is the same and I found everything I needed. As far as customer service goes, it seemed like they could have been a bit more efficient but they were helpful when approached. My experiences with Home Depot have been hit and miss. This time was a miss. We purchased a stove here and scheduled a delivery (which was weeks out for our color). The sales lady went over the sells contract, but left out the part where installation was for plug-ins only, no hard wiring. Okay, I get that they do not do delivery and hook-up themselves, but it is the paperwork which she said she went over all the important details of it. ALL EXCEPT the part pertinent to our purchase! GRRRR I refused delivery because the delivery guys did not know how to hard-wire, plus said if the did know how and did it, it would null the warranty. Great a brand new stove with NO warranty, I might as well get a used one for $400-$500 cheaper! UGH read more

This review is for the tool rental section of the store only. The guys here seems pretty knowledgable about the tools they rent. I have had to rent snakes to unstop the main line at our house three times. They have always had what I needed on the shelf and got me in and out of the store quickly so I could take care of the problem. They have started to include giving you a free pair of work gloves with the rental- a nice perk because gloves are a necessity when doing this job! The prices are competitive and you can rent for 4 hours, half day , or whole day. They have a wide variety of tools for rent and I will not hesitate to return here if I need a tool I don't own and can't afford to buy. read more

We came to the Home Depot in Mesquite on Sunday, June 3rd, because they had the tile I needed in stock. We found a bathroom faucet we wanted but the lower shelf was out. We could see the faucet on the high shelves overhead requiring a ladder. I stopped two associates on the floor - both who said it wasn't their department or they were headed to a page elsewhere. I finally resorted to calling the main phone line and giving our aisle to request help. We heard them make the announcement but no one came. I stopped another guy in the aisle who said he would get us assistance. The entire time there was a ladder one row down but we were told we couldn't use it ourself. From my phone call at 12:48 (which was after we ha already asked two assistants for help), we finally got our faucet at 1:08. Thirty minutes and four people to get a faucet I could see but not reach. The two stars is because the man who ultimately helped us was very nice and brought several down to restock the lower shelf. On our way out, the front end manager was loudly complaining to other employees and blocked the checkout line we were attempting to check out of. When she realized she was in the way, she pushed past us rather than letting us go in and apologizing. We were fine but the customer service is completely non-existent at this store. read more

I needed a come a long for a job that I had on the schedule the next day. Did some online research and they showed to have what I needed in stock. I bought one that would handle 2 ton along with some hooks and a cable. However I was also looking for a long handled 1/2 flex head ratchet that I lost, none to be had. This HD tops the list for HD's slow in checking out their customers. Only one person working the cash register and the line was all the way to the Texas Border. Felt like I was just at Walmart because they were so slow and one register working. Customers were visibly concerned with the slow service. Next time I'm in Mesquite I will give them a wide birth and visit someone else. read more

A great store location BUT their home services to install the water heaters are something to avoid.. Ordering online I found the one I ordered , didnt have a way to install into the space when the teh arrived & the only one he could fit was 29 gal even though a 40 was already in there , Went with My Texas Home Services for the install he found a PERFECT FIT slimline 40 Gallon & used high grade home depot parts to get it installed... Len was the best plumber & AC guy I know & Even if the install services are average at best ... Home Depot is a GREAT place to buy stuff from it seems like everything I bought from them always works just fine as long as they dont have to install it.... read more

The horror ... the ... horror. Should I start at the end and work on the story backwards? After all, it was last Saturday when all this started - and, mercifully, this Saturday when it ended. At noon today, I finally decided to cancel my order for a new garage door and my order for new flooring. Why? It was my moral imperative not to reward BAD customer service. To vote with my wallet not to condone HORRIBLE customer service. To point out that THIS WHOLE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY WALL TO WALL O-R-D-E-A-L with this store had to end. To post this on Yelp - or ANYWHERE - run ... don't walk ... RUN away from the corpse of what used to be Home Depot customer service. I'm too upset to rant about the whole debacle right now (3 hours after) to expound. I was in need of help in the wood section and one of the sweet employees were willing to help but my problem required managerial attention. I did not get the name of the manager, but she was short, Hispanic, with black hair and she approached me with a frown. I asked her a question regarding my problem and she responded with rude sarcasm. I brushed it off then asked her 2 other questions for her to answer rudely a second and third time. She then proceeded to say that an employee can help me and walked away. I was truly shocked that this manager could be rude to a customer. I will never be coming back to this location because of the overly rude managers. This would not be the first time that managers have been rude to customers at this location. Better than the Blue Box store. People here are very helpful. As I wander throughout I'm always asked if I need help - I'm too manly to say 'Yes', but like that there is someone there in case. I'd also like to note that i recently bought a washer & dryer from them - First set didnt work out cuz the dimensions were wrong (front loaders) and they assisted me with swapping them out for top-loaders and was very helpful. read more

Every time I try to go back to Home Depot I am reminded why I left and went to Lowes. I spend about $3000 a week on fence material and they never once have had my order ready. Today I spent 1 hr and 17 min waiting in line and for an order that was supposedly already pulled. They have no idea what paying 4 hourly Employees for doing nothing but waiting feels like. My wife and I came in today to purchase a washing machine, dish washer and a microwave and no one could be bothered to help us. We even asked someone for help and the lady said she would be right back. 20 min later we see her leisurely walking down the isles.
