My mother called and asked for a spanish speaker, they passed her from department to department then they hung up. Called again and someone picked up and transferred her, a lady picked up after 10 min and when she asked for a spanish speaker the lady replied with "No, this is the kitchen department what do you need" so not only did they transfer me to the incorrect department but the btch in the kitchen department needs some basic customer service training. We went to buy flooring (wood laminate) for our Master bedroom. The sales guy told us when we specifically asked how long before it's installed. He said, "4-6 weeks max". I asked again. Are you sure? Can you check. He said yes, 4-6 weeks. He said we'll order the products, then have them shipped to your home. After the products arrives, the installer will call you.and schedule an install date. Products arrived a couple of weeks later. We called installer and were told Dec. 16th was the earliest date!! Almost 6 months after we purchased the products. When we called Home depot they said we have limited installers and this is the only guy doing installs for us. You guys should have told us that in the beginning. Anything to get the sale, but TERRIBLE customer service, and properly setting customerexpectations. I specifically asked and was lied to. We had to have products in the home for 6 mos taking up space and a total inconvenience, to avoid the weather affecting the wood by extreme heat, or cold. (See pictures) Should have gone with Empire. Home Depot will sell you products, but drops the ball completely with setting customer expectations, and customer service. The worse. Never again. If your buying flooring or anything that needs to be installed for flooring go to Empire. We had everything installed from the guy coming out to measure to final install - 2 weeks with Empire. They are the best! I used their Pro Services to install a fence. The install went well but there were some issues. Home Depot and Regina was right there to help me. The company that did the install was only claiming part of the problems were covered under warranty but with her help and the Home Depot team they worked their magic and got the contractor to not only fix all the problems but completely replace the entire fence and reinstall a new better one that would not cause me the trouble this one did. They were so patient and understanding and I really appreciate the extra time Regina spent calming me down and really listening to me. My refrigerator arrived damaged. A replacement was ordered. I was told it would arrive on Saturday, and that someone would call me on Friday with a window time. No call. After a total of 45 minutes over 3 different phone calls I was told I was 9th in line and they would call before they would arrive. No call, no delivery. Upon calling today the fridge is on backorder (???) and the supervisor "was not in". They don't care about the customer. They don't care about the condition of a $2,000+ purchase. I am only providing a one star review because they have what I needed. Interestingly enough, I went in to do a refund transaction at the customer service desk and they had about seven employees standing around socializing. Instead of trying to keep busy they were too busy with each other. When I walked up to one of the counters for a refund, the telephone to the customer service desk continually rang while everyone else we're just standing around laughing and socializing. Secondly, I went to buy a pot and evidently, the price on the pot is not the same as advertised on the shelf. I even took a picture of the information on the shelf and had to show it at the cashier to get the correct pricing. Well I return? Only as a last resort when I cannot find what I needed elsewhere. read more

After reading terrible reviews about getting cabinets at Home Depot, we were skeptical. But, once we got hooked up with Janeen, the kitchen design consultant we were immediately put at ease. Janeen tirelessly took us through the long process of choices and options. With us changing our minds the entire time. Mostly due to price. After 3 appointments with us, she still had that wonderful smile on her face. We finally came up with exactly what would work for us. She sent us updates during the process of fabrication. She truly made our experience enjoyable. I hope the Home Depot is aware of the quality employee they have. What an asset she is to your store. I showed up to a DIY tile laying workshop only to be greeted when I asked "where do I go for the tile workshop?" with "honey, it's only me right now and I'm with customers and I didn't have time to start it yet." Tonight I had to cancel a $1300.00 order because I could not purchase 2x4s online, they said I needed to purchase those in store. I could purchase concrete, drywall and other building supplies but when I put the 30 2x4s in the cart it said must be purchased in store. After chatting with someone online he confirmed that his team members stated yes the lumber had to be purchased in the store. When I went to reply he ended the chat without any more conversation. I was in the paint side of homedepot and this worker name Kelsey was being super rude literally when i was asking about paint, she kept going like ughh when i asked what something I didn't know meant and she kept rolling her eyes, told me we dont have that in like every color i chose i asked her if i could change my color then and she told another worker name pat "ugh im going to my break she change her color can you help them instead" if she would do a better job at helping and suggesting what paint and all the other things meant she wouldn't had gotten my paint started again even after she left she was cussing saying im going to my fucking break now, talk about not liking your job or properly speaking to someone and instead of getting mad because i don't know all about paint she should of just helped me out and being more helpful i don't recommend asking her for help when coming to the paint section her name again is Kelsey and according to her coworker she opens lol so dont go when shes there. The review is for the following: Karla Perez Ronald Troxell and Romanoff Karla Perez works in the flooring department at Home Depot and is very knowledgeable. I had an awful experience with the incompetent flooring department at Turlock Home Depot. Karla was able to step in provide the right product and services. Karla was able to also help with the purchasing of my hard wood floors. Even when there were issues with the Romanoff Karla was calm and able to get the situation handled. Please ask for Karla for all your flooring needs. Ronald Troxell was the installer for my carpet. Ronal works for Romanoff. He is so courteous and was able to do a very high quality job. If you could request an installer for your flooring needs please request Ronald. Romanoff is horrible. If I could use another installer company, I would. They never call you back when they say they will. It took over 2 months to finalize my carpet install. This is not a reflection of hone depot or the installer just issues with communication from Romanoff. Overall I am very happy with the home depot product and recommend Karla and Ronald. read more

Last night my wife and I went to Home Depot for patio chairs. Of course the ones they said online that they had in stock we're not on the floor. I ran into a young gentleman. His name was Jesse Martinez. He was busy helping someone else. I asked if he knew what those chairs were? He said he'd be right back and sure if he was back within three minutes, he looked up on his handheld and told me that they were in a truck in the back. He told me approximately 30 minutes before you before get them out. I asked if I could get them for me. He said he would try his best. 25 minutes later Jesse reappeared with the chair I needed for the Fourth of July barbecue. We're having today. I asked Jesse if I can speak to his manager he informed me that he was the manager on duty atthe time. I informed him that I would be leaving a review because actions were above and beyond what I expected from anyone. I would like to give recognition or recognition do and tell Home Depot that they have a great employee in Jesse Martinez. read more

It's huge. I'm pretty sure the length of the store, not counting the garden but just the inside, is more than a city block. I should know this since I had to walk the length of the store 4 times. My mom needed a fire grate. I said Home Depot. I asked an apathetic employee where I could find them. I get to the "grill/fireplace" area & look for the grates. And I look, & I look, & I look some more. No grates. And, of course, no one in this particular section to inquire with. Sigh. So, I take the couple of items that I did find, & proceed to checkout...which is on the other side of the store. When the rather pleasant & not at all apathetic cashier asked me if I found everything ok, I told him about the grates. He made a call on his walkie-talkie. A boisterous employee answers that they do have them, & they're in the area that I had just poured over. He'll meet me there. Okay. Back I go. Guess what? They were on the floor, underneath a display shelf, all the way in the back against the wall. In other words, not visible. The nice staff member helping me had to completely lay down on the floor, & partially slide underneath the shelf, just to reach them. He pulled out the only 2 that were left. So, it was a bit like goldilocks & the three bears. I went from one employee who couldn't care less, to one that was great, to one that really went the extra mile to boot. And I got my momma her fire grate. 3 stars. read more

I called them like a stalker every day, several times a day but they do NOT answer the phone there. Finally, I got a hold of somebody (Tina) via text message (yes, that's how they do it) and I thought we were getting somewhere.
