We brought our truck, picked out what we wanted, they helped load it up, and my husband installed them that evening. Win! They do offer delivery and install, through a third party they work with. It was fairly reasonable but we didn't want to wait. Also, you can bring your old appliances back and drop them off. They will recycle them for you. Subtracting one star because the sales person was bad talking the brands they don't carry. With a passion. At the end of the day, even if the brands suck, I'm not a fan of talking negative against the competition. "I don't reccomend it." Or "We don't carry XYZ because we only carry products we can stand behind" would be sufficient.

Frustrated, I decided to call up my mom who has worked in the appliance industry for over 30 years. She immediately gave me Ray's number from R & M Appliance & Repair Service. One quick call and we had a time set for him to come out. He gave me a call the morning of to give me a window of time in which he'd stop by . He arrived within the window that he gave us and was able to diagnose the problem very quickly. He was very knowledgeable, and even gave me the backstory on why these units were having the issues that we were dealing with. The entire time he was very professional and my daughter even had fun watching him while he worked his magic. Not only did he replace the board on the washer, but he called in to Whirlpool so that it would be 100% covered by them (it's a faulty board that they're aware of, but because it doesn't pose a safety threat there's no recall). He was there for about 30 minutes and by the time he was done I was as happy as a clothes-washing clam. Ray was incredibly nice and very professional. I've honestly never dealt with a nicer repair guy before. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who's having appliance issues. This guy is awesome!

I hadn't heard of the company before and am fairly new to the area. I hate cold calling repair guys, was leery of repair ads on Craigslist, and knew nobody who could recommend anyone reputable. I searched reviews on Yelp and read nothing but positive comments about R & M, so had to give them a shot. Ray asked a few simple questions over the phone to narrow down the problem. He ruled out larger issues and broke it down to 4 potential problems, along with an estimate of what each might cost. I asked about payments that he accepts. He responded "cash or check". It's nice to have options (i.e. I didn't have to run to the ATM). Ray came over that same afternoon. He was personal, professional, and patient with my numerous questions. Perhaps he should have received a higher wage for providing an education on the workings of a refrigerator. He showed me how he ruled out the other issues and luckily, he just needed to replace the heating element in the self-defrost system. With that not working properly, frost built up on the coils which caused poor air flow. No air flow = no cooling. I learned a lot and it was really interesting! My appliance was fixed the same day and the cost was very reasonable! Thank you Ray!! I'm happy to have found your company and will be recommending R & M if I know of anyone who needs appliances repaired.

I would highly recommend Central Valley Repair! The technician Prateek Sehgal responded to our call promptly. I called him around 9AM, and he was able to come out 30 minutes later as he was in still working in town. He inspected our Kenmore dryer. It had stopped heating up, and drying our clothes. He quickly diagnosed the issue, and even had the necessary parts on hand in his car. Despite our dryer being over 20 years old, he had it repaired and running perfectly in no time. Prateek Sehgal was very professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy throughout the entire process. His pricing was very reasonable, and he took the time to explain the repair clearly. He even cleaned out years of built up dust, and lint. It's refreshing to find someone who combines excellent customer service with technical expertise. These 5 star reviews are no joke, Prateek is top notch. I was at my mother in laws house 4 hours away from my home when, the same day I needed to return home, the washer stopped working (during the week of Christmas). I called Central Valley Appliance Repair and got the voice mail box. I did NOT leave a message assuming I'm out of his service range anyway. Less then 10 minutes later Prateek calls me back to see if he can be of service. Long story short, he diagnosed the problem over the phone (as best one can), came to the house within hours, had the correct part, fixed the problem and charged the price he quoted. Very Impressed !! Eight-year-old Maytag washer had been intermittently not finishing the cycle. I called Central Valley Appliance Repair. Prateek answered the phone and had me text him some information about the washer and the problem we were having. He called back and scheduled to come out the next day. He diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes, had the part in his truck, and had the repair complete in about a half hour. I had a great experience with my recent dryer repair. The heating element had stopped working, and they were able to diagnose and fix the issue quickly. Contacted another company and paid for another visit and it did take them 3visits (1paid for one of them only) to figure out what was going on but they figure out through trail and error that it was the temperature/fire senor control instead which just needed to be adjusted. Didn't need to buy/replace my HVAC burner box, which Little Guy quoted me as $2900. For this reason, I'm giving them a 3 stars out of 5. The technician was fine but doesn't seem knowledgeable. Should try to figure out the least expensive option/route for the customer rather than the expensive route. He also suggested to replace my HVAC eventually that's only a 3-4 years old....

To…read moreour surprise, the GVC personal shows up at the door a day before the appointment without prior notice or intimation about his visit. After the initial troubleshoot, i was told that the parts will be ordered and he'll be back in 4-5 days for the repair. Days passed and there was no word from GVC on whether the parts were arrived or not. Getting hold of them is not easy (none will bother to respond to the voice mails), finally after getting hold of them to check on my repair order, they mentioned the parts haven't arrived yet and was given a new date (pushing by a week) and confirmed the repair on a specific day/time(9am-1pm) and none showed up on that day. I felt like i am being fooled about the situation and asked further on why GVC confirmed the date/time in the first place when they don't know when the parts will arrive and doesn't bother to notify or keep me informed instead sharing all the news when I call them. I reminded them on the bad reviews all over the place from customers for the same reasons (very poor communication i.e no emails, no return or update calls). On this, the person on other side was not happy about the facts about their company when presented to them and also bluntly said, they'll go ahead and cancel the repair order. For me, that reflected how serious they were in their business. LG themselves couldn't get hold (or response) of the GVC manager for few days to get the order details to confirm whether the parts are shipped or delayed for any reasons, so think about situation of a customer. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS for any repairs. A very pathetic and horrible company ever worked with. The Tech doesn't call to say he arrived, or leave a note and I never got an email to reschedule. I called and told the LG company and told them I HAVE A VIDEO WITH TIME STAMP. He showed up next day without notice at all, was there for 2 minutes and said the mother board part will take 5-10 days. its May 28 2024 and they won't return my phone calls the won't keep me updated. i only got one call from gvc asking for the proof on may 21. its been 18 day without a refrigerator/freezer and all i want is an update. horrible company!!!
