It's a mess and a total waste of time on the customers part. Why can't it be ordered online and shipped to the store for pick up or shipped to our address for a fee. I can see why this Home Depot has such low rating. Normally, I would use an analogy to describe the customer service but because it's so horrific, there is none to compare. It's almost like the old fries electronic building. They have what you want, but don't expect customer service. It's blatantly obvious that the employees here hate their job from their customer service towards customers. You could immediately see from their facial expression the loathing feeling they have towards Customer when you come into the building. The only reason I gave this one star is because they do have what I'm looking for. However, that will change soon enough. I will be taking my business someplace else, possibly a local Ace Hardware store. I may have to pay extra price, but at least I won't be hated just for buying things at their store. February 2023! Terrible service!!! I ordered a washer online back in December. They did not deliver the washer on the date promised. They postponed it 3 times. It was mid-January when they finally delivered the washer and I was on vacation. I had my nephew receive the order since I was not here when it was finally getting delivered. When I got back from vacation this past weekend I noticed the "graphite steel" of the washer I ordered was different than the "graphite steel" of my dryer. Despite being the same model. One of them is significantly darker. I brought the appliance into Home Depot to return it on 2/4/23. This was the Home Depot listed on my receipt. The customer service girl called a manager to come. The manager said there would be a 15% restocking fee since it was more than 48 hours. I explained to her that the appliance was postponed several times and I literally just saw it since I was on vacation. She said I would have to contact Home Depot because there wasn't anything she could do. I contacted Home Depot online and they said they couldn't return it and I would have to deal with the store. They said the store should be able to return it and could also waive the 15% fee. She said I needed to come to this Home Depot because this was the store listed. I brought the appliance back to this Home Depot again today 2/7/23. The customer service girl also called her manager. This time her manager didn't even want to return it. She said they don't do returns since it's more than 48 hours. She suggested I called Home Depot online again. I've literally been back and forth and no one can seem to help me. It's ridiculous. I would avoid purchasing anything from Home Depot. It's okay for them to postpone their delivery more than a month, but you only have 48 hours to return the item. That makes no sense at all. This review is ONLY for the interaction we had with an employee named KEN today. We came in to get some lumbar cut and he was extremely friendly and helpful. He suggested a different piece of wood that would better fit our needs as well as made the cuts we asked for. I hope his manager reads this because he should be recognized for his exceptional customer service and his friendly attitude. After going to two other home improvement stores that both had broken lumbar saws, it was a pleasant surprise to find someone so helpful after we both were stressed and irritated. They didn't receive the full 5 stars because I was so uncomfortable by hearing their worker "Patti" yell at this extremely hard of hearing elderly lady. Patti, is old herself but when I say elderly I mean extremely old!!! Her level of professionalism was nowhere to be found. I suffer from PTSD and hearing that type of yelling, put me back into a very uncomfortable situation in public. She needs to be fired. Not long before she was yelling unprofessionally, my husband wanted to exit out the garden area to look at some flowers to plant and she abruptly stopped what she was doing at the register, to which caused a scene to embarrass my husband as of her was going to steal some freaking flowers. My husband and I went to purchase paint in the Ceres Home Depot paint department. The young man who helped us was nice enough pointing out signs on the counter of the different Behr paint types and the prices basically $10 more for each upgrade. We explained we wanted semi-gloss Behr brand paint at the lowest price point of $28.97 for our bathroom. We stated the price and pointed at the $28.97 paint sign on the counter. He proceeded to make the paint, which only took 5 minutes. We went to check out up front and it rang up $37.98 and we told the clerk that's the wrong price. The clerk called back to the paint department to check and the young man that made the paint told him on the phone that that's the correct price. We then walked all the way back to the paint department to talk to the paint staff in person and he explained it's more for semi-gloss and the price posted reflected the flat paint price. I said but you didn't tell us that when we asked for the $28.97 paint. I asked did you think you should of told us that? He said, "oh it's my bad". That was the extent of the discussion, no apology, just, "It's my bad". So this experience was very disappointing! I think the paint department staff need retrained for sure! From the guy at the rental station (I was going to rent truck to take purchases home for new house I bought) to Edwin in gardening. If I was told "oh well" 1 more time! No rental truck! No one to help me purchase interior & garage doors (5), Edwin who sent me on wild goose chase & Soooo extremely rude when all I asked for was "2" Flex a Spout downspouts that Home Depot showed had 38 In Stock on bay 65 & Edwin tells me oh well! Not here- go check aisle 8. My purchases would have been over $600 & I left with an $8 purchase. Left store so saddened by their treatment. Do employees just don't care! Only bright side was female employee, didn't get name on aisle 65, who unfortunately sent me to Edwin. The cashier gave me Edwin name so hopefully that is correct. So Very Disappointing. read more

Wow I just shopped here on my lunch today. I was looking at hardware for a project I'm working on and the guy working in the department was so incredibly rude to a man that asked him a question. He actually told him to bring a microwave in with him to find what he needed. I guess that would work but I can't imagine lugging a microwave into Home Depot. I made sure to not make eye contact with the worker when he was done because he was so aggressive he was stressing me out. After finding what I wanted I went to the check out. I always avoid self check outs because I like to support a paid person and usually enjoy the one on one with a real person from the store even if it is for a brief moment. The cashier started reaching for my items before even making eye contact and finishing her personal conversation with another coworker. She wasn't very friendly at all and when I said thank you she just looked at me. This store is seriously lacking in good customer service skills. This is why people shop at Amazon. read more

What an awful place. First off, getting help here is impossible and the employees generally don't know even where or what most products are. My girlfriend and I ordered some windows, and they showed up. We took out the first window and went to put in the window,but they sent us the wrong one. Double checked the order. So we go to exchange it, and they will only refund and actually said that they won't help us get the new window ordered. Now I've got a hole in the wall where a window was supposed to go. Never Again. I placed an order this morning. I received a text that my order was ready. I asked my coworkers to pull in because it should only be a minute. The order wasnt pulled yet. The person at the counter had to ask Sandra and the other person at returns for for help a million times. I was polite. I told them I wasnt trying to be a dick. But I had 4 people waiting for me in the car and I needed to get going quickly. In the store and out took nearly 30 minutes for something that should have taken 5. Im embarassed in front of my coworkers for their time wasted waiting for me. They understood, but I do not understand why the order wasnt ready. Nor why it took so long with this girl on the computer. Full disclosure, one item wasnt available, they gave me a substitute which was 3$ cheaper or so and gave me a refund on the item they didnt have. Im really just not happy with the experience. 2/29- Home Depot # 6947 Ceres. My husband & I were purchasing a pallet of pavers for our patio and walkways. We purchased more than $400 worth of posts, wood and cement paver squares. We had to wait for a forklift driver to return from lunch. (30 min. lunch) Not unreasonable & understandable. They returned, picked up a propane tank, was gone for 20 mins and returned with the propane tank. Then we waited another 10 mins. My husband walked back to where they were and they're standing there trying to figure out which pallet to pickup. HOW Rediculous! He had to show them the pallet we purchased and still waiting! We waited a total of 1 hr and 10 mins. Now mind you, they had already been gone to lunch for a while before we purchased our items. This office is Always, slow and lacking in service.... read more

This is to make people aware of a scam home depot and citi bank are doing. The home depot and citi bank are a bunch of liars. They have a promotion that you earn 50 dollar discount when you qualify for a line of credit and spend over 300 dollars. But it expires after 30 days and they take 25 days for you to get your card. When I called customer service the first time, about ten days after I was issued credit they told me that I had to wait until I got my card to use it. So I received my card and charged almost 500 dollars in power tools but the discount never showed up on my statement. So I called customer service today to ask when the discount kicks in. The manager Ariel told me that it was over 30 days so I won't get the discount. So I asked how come the first time I called I was told that I had to wait for my card. She told me that their incompetence is not her problem. I ask about their training and she told me to keep it professional. So I'm writing this so other people don't fall for the scam they are pulling. read more

My husband and I had a bunch of questions for guest service and the beautifully kind man with the Sailor Moon apron was so patient and helpful. After we were helped We walked away from the counter and I wasn't paying attention when a single piece of lattice from another customer fell. On 2/28/2019, i went to the home depot # 6947 in ceres because i need to get some 3/4 gas pipe cut for a project i was working on. When i arrived in the plumbing department i was greeted by Danielle in plumbing. I explained to her that i needed a couple of pieces 3/4 gas pipe cut to certain sizes and if she could do that, she then stated " sure i can just let me know the sizes and i will take care of that for you right after i finish with my current customers request ". I only had to wait approximately 2- 3 minutes before she came back to help me. While she waa cutting the pipe i was able to talk to her about a few things and i was very pleased with her knowledge of plumbing. Danielle was very courteous and extremely professional. Danielle made my shopping experience with the ceres home depot very pleasing. Because of Danielle i will definitely be coming back to shop at this home depot. Had the worst experience with the worker ED, tried finding someone to help me with a screen. Talked to 5 guys none of them could get a hold of him. After 30 minutes comes back tells me the screen I wanted he couldn't order, KEEP IN MIND ON THE WEBSITE IT CLEARLY SAYS ORDER IN STORE OR ONLINE.
