On 11/26/24 I purchased a 12'x20 wire shelf and I had it delivered because of the length, it was delivered on 11/29/24 "DAMAGED" I immediately called the store and spoke to customer service and informed them that it arrived damaged that I didn't want it and told them that I wanted a refund for the shelf and the delivery charge the person I spoke to told me someone would contact me, I waited for the afternoon on 11/30/24 and was told that I purchased it online I would have to contact them so I did, spoke to someone who told me that he set up the pickup for 11/02/24 and I would get an email with the details, I waited till mid afternoon on 11/02/24 and spoke to another person who told me he didn't see any pickup scheduled so I asked him when would this shelf be taken away, he told me he didn't know it might be 10 to 14 days told me he couldn't give me any date for the refund or the pickup. This Home Depot is fine just like most every other location but that's not the most important issue. The real question is Home Depot or Lowe's, Home Depot or Lowe's, Home Depot or you get the point. My home is almost 100 years old so I live in home improvement centers. So I have two pro tips for you- Pro Tip #1- If your purchase is significant, AND YOU ARE NOT WEDDED TO A BRAND, go to both or at least check both websites. It's well known that they carry different brands so if your purchase is not trivial, it's worth looking at both. Pro Tip #2- If your purchase is more decorative in nature, check Lowe's first. Half of the associates have a pulse, the other half are trying hard to avoid helping customers. Lots of water cooler gatherings, very little energy goes into helping customers. The place has it all, sometimes crappy service and help., but what do you expect, employees tend to be a little lazier than others if you get my drift,wink wink. Usually when you cannot find someone to help you to get something down from an upper shelf area I usually just take it upon myself to go climbing and get what I need on my own, pretty much the same thing as what self-checkout is all about. If you go to the outdoor section on the weekends look for Deebo,he is very helpful, he will usually only ring you up for about half of what you were purchasing all you need to do is Slio him. a couple of extra bucks and he's more than happy, also ask him that you would like the Bob Marley extra crispy. read more

So I showed these pictures on July 19 th, when 1 of the 3 cans of paint I bought from Home Depot tilted in my car and the Iid fell off. I spoke with GM at Home Depot and a claim was made. He also apologized for this mishap and told me to come back in for a new can of paint and rags to clean my car with. The paint was waiting for me on the counter, free of charge of course. I ask the person behind the paint counter if she has heard of this happening and she says yes!Home Depot has offered me ( 3 days later)$200 for ME to clean the dry latex paint from my car. A dealership quoted the damages at @$3100 due to the fact that the carpet needs to be replaced. The person handling my claim told me the moment I left HD, the paint became my problem and it's stated within the Home Depot policy which I'm still trying to get in writing ( if that were true why is HD giving me a free can of paint). I have superseded the original claim adjuster and went to her supervisor who ask for the pictures, stating there is no record of them ever being sent from the GM of Home Depot. She also stated that if a color was added to the paint it weakens the seal and may cause pressure to pop the lid. Again, Home Depot doing. After reviewing the damage to my car Home Depot has asked me for the dealership quote and that is where the story ends. In general, there is nothing wrong with this store. It's a big home improvement store and if you need help, find someone wearing the orange apron and they should be able to help you. When you walk in, there is a greeter that will help direct you in the right way if you are looking for something specific. I have purchased appliances here in the past and used their delivery service with no issues. To me, there is not much difference between The Home Depot and Lowes, but they do carry some different brands and/or models on appliances and major power tools. For decorative type items, we tend to find more items that we like at Lowes. read more

The manager, Mike Palumbo, and the rest of the associates at this store understand what customer service is all about. I do suggest you purchase extended warranties when buying major appliances, only because manufacturers are making disposable products to keep the economy strong. Home Depot should improve the process to have service done under the extended warranty, but this is apparently out of their hands and you are left at the mercy of the insurance company. However, if you bring problems to the attention of store management, you will realize how much the staff appreciates your business and true customer service will be demonstrated. This has been my experience overall. There are only a handful of companies who practice true customer service, and kudos to the West Norriton Home Depot for doing just that. read more

DO NOT purchase an appliance from Home Depot. The service is horrible and they will lie to you about the price. Lets start with the customer service. Justine will not call you back when she states she will. The price point is comparable with other retailers. Keep that in mind! If not, most other retailers will price compare. I ordered this fridge. Got a call/voicemail on Nov 22 at 1PM EST regarding my delivery. I quickly rushed and left another appointment. I waited there. Waited. Called the number back. No return call. Called the 800 2 hours later. They stated they couldn't make it to my residence and I would have to reschedule for Friday, Nov 24 between the hours of 12-4pm. Friday came around and again, WAITED until 4PM. I called. They put me on hold for almost 45 minutes. They never loaded my fridge on the truck. HORRIBLE. The worst customer service. Why didn't they tell me in the morning or common courtesy during my time of delivery to find out they never loaded this. I WOULD HIGH SUGGEST purchasing appliances elsewhere. Wish I could give this store zero stars. Went in tonight to purchase appliances based on a price on the website which was different in the store. I waited 20 minutes because apparently only one person can work in appliances at a time. Associate Mike James told me the way I was reading the website wrong so I said then it must be misleading and he replied "well that's not how it is meant to be." So when I tried to explain it again he rudely told me no one in the store had the ability to override a website price which isn't even what I was asking. He then called over manager on duty Justine who was equally rude, condescending, and useless. She kept interrupting my questions and kept comparing Home Depot to Ugg Boots and old navy versus gap. Again, not listening to what I was trying to say repeatedly interrupting me and then telling me just to order online. Certainly will be avoiding this Home Depot at all costs. read more

Home depot sells through vendors on the internet and doesn't stand behind their products. You have to know if there is a problem and collect from the online vendor. Home Depot allows them to use their name but will not stand behind the appliance. I would never buy another appliance from Home Depot again. week This place is an absolute nightmare. I purchased a dish washer in early November. It was installed about 5-6 weeks later. I ran a load of dishes on that Friday night and it flooded my kitchen. I called the number the gentlemen who installed it gave me and they said it sounded like a problem with the unit and they would call me with a date that they would come by to replace it. I waited 3-4 days and then called back as no one had contacted me only to be told that I had waited too long and that the window for the call center to return and fix any problems was 48 hours. When I told them that I had called the next day and was told that I would be receiving a phone call they looked in their records, acknowledged that I had called within the window and told me there was still nothing they could do. Also the average wait time for someone to even answer the phone at the call center was about 30-40 minutes and when your forced to call them a bunch of times a week trying to get them to fix something you paid a lot of money for it gets to be a huge waste of time. So I then called Home Depot and I was given a number for Samsungs customer service. I called and was on the phone for over an hour as they told me it was on the installer to fix any problems with the installation. So I called Home Depot again and the one manager lance was very helpful and got someone to actually come out and help me. So a Samsung tech called and told us he was only in the Philadelphia area 1 day a month and if I wanted to get it fixed by him I would basically have to take off work and wait for him at my house on a Monday. The tech came and was unable to fix the problem because the the installers did such a terrible job parts of my sink and counter top were damaged and need to be replaced. Basically they used the wrong parts to install the dishwasher even though we paid for the real parts what ever that means. So now it's about halfway through January and I still don't have the dishwasher I paid for the first week of November, my countertop is missing a big chunk and my sink has been leaking into my cabinet for over a month and now it's all slime and warped. I have to disagree with the other reviews....my experience with West Norriton Home Depot in September 2018 was great! Yes, I did have a problem with delivery of 3 new appliances but the Managers and employees were fantastic in handling this problem and solved to my satisfaction. Everyone was nice and very helpful. Highly recommend this store. Things may have changed from others experiences but believe me I had a huge issue and Managers, Zach and Justine called me back and kept me updated on my situation and resolved problem. read more

Great customer service: I had ordered a grill off Home Depot's website, which arrived damaged from shipping. Additionally, I was told this grill would be out of stock until midAugust (~2 months later). Justine & Jenny at the West Norriton Home Depot went above and beyond to make sure I received a replacement grill that day (including spending an hour of their time helping me select a different model and providing a discount to compensate for my time and frustrations) as I was having family over that weekend for a bbq. They were both incredible helpful, apologetic and pleasant, while working hard to resolve an issue they did not cause. read more

I received a 10 percent off coupon for my next Home Depot purchase in the mail. When I tried to redeem the coupon the cashier said that I could not use it becasue my purchases included a Special Order. I asked that she ring the Special Order separately from the other merchandise so I could still use the coupon as it would still have saved me about $60. The cashier saud she couldn't cancel my transaction once she began to enter it in the register. She called over the manager and she also said that they couldn't cancel my transaction and I couldn't use the coupon for my eligable purchases. A few days earlier, at the same location, I tried to place a special order and the associate said that I could not during the weekend and that he would followup on Monday and call me about my options for placing the special order. Monday came and went and I heard nothing. When I went into the store again and talked to the same associate, he had not remembered me or that he was suppossed to call me back. The employees did not say they were sorry or show any empathy to my situation. I e-mailed the store manager and corporate about my bad customer service experiences and never received a reply. Unbelievable staff... everytime I go to this store, its a joke, and maybe I just need to go to Lowes. Today, visited and wanted a pole saw, found last one in the yard section, and was assisted by a nice clerk. Price was on box at $99.00 sticker, and went to the fast self serve checkout and when scanned came up $149.00. Was a "younger woman" there watching over the people and I asked her to assist me, and she scanned the item came up $149.00. Since the sticker was on there showing $99.00 she then advised me that the item "WAS" on sale last week and she would honor the $99.00 because no one removed it. I said, Thank You, "you're a nice girl"! and with that she BARKED back at me saying, "I'm a WOMAN", and I get that all day, "kiddo", "sweetie" and I'm sick of that!... I looked at her amazed that she was so insulted and turned around and scanned the saw, and left. I guess they stopped teaching these people how to be nice to customers or better yet STFU... Cutting up my Home Depot credit card. I ordered carpet and the installer, USIG, was nothing but a complete hassle. When they came out to install, there was not enough carpet. Had to reschedule. When they came out the second time it was 7:15 in the evening and the installer was alone. I had to help him with the carpet! I was the one who had to clean up the cut up pieces and vacuum when it was done. I keep getting the run around from both companies, each blaming the other and nobody wants to do anything about it. I frequent this store because it's close to my house. I always have mixed experience with the staff. There are times I go in and the staff is super helpful and accommodating and then there are times they seems agitated I came in. There is one bright spot to this place where I get consistent help; the garden area. Seriously every time I have a question the garden peeps are friendly and knowledgable! Nice work garden team!!!! There is one older gentleman, I don't recall his name, that is like a zen garden master - ask him anything and he knows. I've often thought about asking him broader questions to the answers of life..., the only reason I don't is because I want to keep my disillusion of him alive.... I digress.... The flower selection, price point of plants, and the friendly engaged staff keep me coming back. While Home Depot may disappoint in other departments they deliver in the garden center! read more

We purchased a new kitchen faucet on line from HD. The faucet was defective and I took it to my local trooper Rd. store for help. The gentleman in the plumbing dept. identified the problem and replace it on the spot. This allowed me to install it the same day and be back in service. The HD plumbing is the best of the local stores and have always given me good guidance over the years. read more
