Service at the register, ok. Beside that. Service to load or to access is horrible. The rough goods attendant, very poor customer service. I asked for help loading 14 sheets of drywall only to be told that I had to load it. Unfortunately I have a bad back the periodically goes out from a bad car accident, that is why requested help. Another customer helped me load by hand instead of using one of the two forklifts available. Forklifts are used to help with labor tasks such as this to prevent back injury, hand injury, etc. To finish loading in my truck, a day laborer came to help. I tipped him when we finished loading. Now I wouldn't mind paying for help, but when you advertise and promote help loading, and don't. That's false advertising. There is no good deal in that. I think I'd rather pay Ace more per sheet than deal with the depot. read more

I bought a small fridge from them last night i got is home had to let it stand up for a few hours because the old man who helped me into the truck with it laid it down and then told me it would "blow up if the freon leaks out," not knowing I am a mechanic and know that it is the compressor that will go bad if you lay down the fridge...anyway I got it home stood it up for my work day and opened the box and low and behold my poor new fridge had been damaged and the corner of the back on top is crunched in, the fridge itself IS ABSOLUTELY NOT worth $279 in good condition but this is in shit condition and I cannot get home depot Odessa to answer the damn phone to come and collect this fridge and give me my money back or if they don't want it back to discount it as scratch and crunched the value is not what it should be. read more

Terrible store, waited on my curbside pickup for 30 minutes until I was informed that the curbside closes at 6pm. I informed them that I had been there and calling since 5:30 and no one answered. I continued calling until 6:30 and still on hold with the automated system. I cancelled my order finally. Don't shop here, especially buy a mower. They leave them out rain or shine. I went to this location the other day and asked for assistance and after asking for assistance from THREE different associates I finally was able to get help from one. The first associate said someone in that department could help me, which was fine. When I asked the second associate who was in that department (a woman wearing a floral dress) for help she stayed quiet for about 30 seconds then finally uttered "what do you need" in a real snarky & ugly tone. I told her never mind since she seemed to not want to help and looked for another associate who was in the aisle that had the stuff I was looking for. The third associate wasn't very knowledgeable so she called someone else to help me. Which is fine because she at least tried. Finally the fourth associate was able to assist. We appreciated the fact the he helped however, he also didn't have any kind of enthusiasm. Spoke real low and was a tad bit slow. Can't complain much about him other than the lack of enthusiasm even though we had to settle for that type of customer service. It's as if everyone we came across didn't want to be working there and help out any of their customers. At one point we had another customer assist us in getting the stuff we needed. (This was in between the time of the 3rd & 4th employee) We got some tools that needed to be taken up to the front by the associate since those are the ones that keep locked and he stated for us to get them from the pro desk when we check out. Well, if you thought that we had had enough of the crappy customer service from the employees just wait, there's more! Once we went to the front to check out, there was a employee in front of the register & leaning against the register (with a drink in hand) so we asked him about the tools we picked out and they put up there for us, if he knew where they were at or help us find them and he just said "no, idk" and just stared at us for about 15-20 seconds (which is an eternity in real time) and then just walked off. Didn't say anything else, just simply walked away. The lack of enthusiasm, customer service, knowledge and friendliness overall was very frustrating to say the least!!!!! I've never had such a horrible shopping experience in my entire life. Why work here if you're not willing to help us customers who ultimately support your work. I alone spent $750.00 and tike have spent more had they had more items in stock. I read all the other reviews before writing this one and can tell they were 100% accurate based on my experience. Management & corporate need to step in and get their team together!!! If I could give it 0 or .5 stars I would! read more

Got our kitchen counters done through them. Took several visits before we could even get someone to help us. When theu finally did, they used a company called Rock Tops to fabricate and install. It has been a nightmare. Delay after delay: they sent two different people to measure, and when they came, nothing fit. They damaged the cabinets in their install attempt, and left with only half the countertops installed, and they look horrible. It feels like we wasted our money, being out thousands, with a kitchen that is worse than it was before, and still no way to use our sink, months later. Avoid at all costs. read more

Generally over the years I have had positive experiences at this location,however, today I went to buy some weed eater string. We found the string and went to check out. At the register line there were three girls with Home Depot smocks , one using a cell phone. When we walked up they scattered and the girl at the register turned off the light and said this line is closed , and turned around and walked off! I was so mad I could have bit a nail in two! Standard Home Depot compared to that of any other in the country, however understaffed and understocked. There have been several instances where online it will say an item is in stock (or even 4-5+ in stock) just for them to be out and no staff able to locate. My recommendation- use the "pickup in store" option if you can do they have to find their own stock. Otherwise, you'll find yourself having to drive to Midland to get what you need. read more

I ordered a queen bed frame online. I did not receive a confirmation of the order, and the next day I decided to order another. I got immediate confirmation of that order. However, my first order was charged to my account the next day, along with the charge for the 2nd order. I tried to cancel the first one - can't get customer service on the phone at all! - so sent an email. They said they could not cancel, but please return the first order. Now after at least six (6) emails back and forth, they still say return the first order. However, I told them, I NEVER RECEIVED THE FIRST ORDER. I did get the second one. Just got another email from Home Depot Customer Service. They said they need me to return the first order. Ugh. How I wish I could actually talk to someone in the United States. The staff only help who they want and only if it's an easy fix. I wanted the 27 gal. storage containers their app showed 382 in stock. Of course, there are none on the shelf where the tag is, but it looked like a bunch may have been on the top shelf. We couldn't read the label to make sure so we finally tracked down an associate and asked about the item. We showed her how many they claimed were in stock. She simply said the app is not always accurate. I can understand it being off a few, but 382???? We asked about the ones on the top shelf. She said she didn't know if they were the right ones, then acted like she was going to see about it but just kind of drifted off. We waited to see if she would come back with an answer, then gave up. As we left, we saw her helping another associate with something totally unrelated. She just looked at us guiltily and didn't say a word. This store needs new management. It still has not improved. Went to buy a screen door, had a question on doors they had, went to desk of the doors and windows department an employee was at desk helping another customer, said he had to go up front to help the customer said he would be right back. After 10 mins and no body showed back up, another employee came by asked her, she said she couldn't help me she would get someone, waited for another 10 mins, then another employee came she said she didn't work in the department but said she would call someone to come help me. Another 10 or 15 mins, and seeing all these home depot employees walking around not helping anyone, decided to call manager on my phone, was told someone would be headed to help me. After waiting 45 mins, I left store and never will I buy anything from Home Depot again. Went to Lowe's got help immediately and bought a 140.00 screen door. read more

Beware of delivery and install orders! Would never go back to this Home Depot again for anything after this! Bad customer service on top of bad install! We bought a washer and dryer set which included delivery and install. It took 2 weeks to get it delivered after me calling 6 times to try to get answers on when it would be delivered and installed. The man that delivered and installed it didn't install it correctly which lead to the washer vibrating so badly it damaged my walls in my home. He also never tested the washer or dryer before he left and told me to do it. I contacted Home Depot Monday and they said that it was probably un-leveled and would have someone come out Friday to look at it. That was the best they could do. My husband came home that even and leveled it himself. The washer still jumped around and squeaked badly. I called first thing Tuesday and was told they couldn't do anything to call the Home Depot in Lubbock. When I called I was told there was nothing they could do because it's been 48hrs after the delivery and it's now it's Samsung's problem (the manufacture) no apologies for damages to my home or anything. Turns out after 48hrs of the install Home Depot will not take responsibility for anything. There is nothing on the delivery ticket that says I need to contact them within 24hrs. Also they dented it during delivery too. So I called Samsung and together we figured out that they didn't remove the packing bolts in the back which was causing it to be off balanced. I removed those myself and now the washer works fine. Obviously there is a lack of knowledge, customer care and pride in deliver. I should of went to Lowes instead. *update the Home Depot delivery guy called to check on me and was extremely nice and apologetic for the incident. He explained he was new and was not told to remove the shipping bolts. It was nice that someone cared about the situation. When I called the actually store there was no emotion or regard to their product damaging my wall or tried to help with the situation. read more

So I don't live in Odessa, but I'm trying to make a purchase, being that I would make a 2 hour drive, I want to have conformation that the item I am needing is in stock before making a drive. 8/22/19 I literally called about 10 times, I had the first call answered to be told can you please hold there is only 2 of us here, Ok I will hold not a problem then after 15mins being on hold they just HANG UP the phone! all other calls but one more was answered, & at that I guess they accidently answered cause all they did was hang up. I called throughout the day not call after call cause I get it we can get busy I work customer service as well so after a while I asked my boyfriend to call see if they answer his call, they did right away but to be on the phone with someone for like 30mins to being told there was "3 in stock" to not knowing "if they were on hold for someone else" to "you have to call 24 hours in advice to purchase that item", so Im here like what the heck can't nobody be helpful at all in that store!!! I decided to call this morning 8/23/19 & ask to speak to a manager, to be able to explain yesterdays situation & maybe get conformation of the item in stock, guess what happened?? had my call answered to being transferred to a manager then get hung up!!!! Like literally being so early in the morning I doubt Home Depot is busy thanks you guys you have a very got damn helpful answering system, not taking my business there I will try another town cause literally that store SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
