The appliance tech started out ok, but he did not move the appliance from the wall. This is a clothes washer. Tech came out and stated he had bad news. He stated that the problem on this washer was the basin shocks were bad. He stated the parts were no longer available. His recommendation would be to replace the washer, and he had 2 for sale. His first lie was that parts were not available. PARTS WERE AVAILABLE...Internet search found MULTIPLE parts available. To include Amazon. I ordered the OEM parts, and should arrive today. I told the Tech that the issue was probably the shocks on the tub according to the troubleshooting manufacturers page (Samsung) The reason I called this company was I am not physically able to move the washer or anything having weight. Service did not meet basic needs of service call. Only solution was to replace washer less that 2 years old with parts that were easily available. He was very thorough in explaining what was wrong and gave us 3 options for getting it fixed (the compressor). He told us the part was still under manufacturer warranty and that if they did the work, no charge. Then he gave us his price to do it vs. the manufacturer tech service. In the middle of my wife's Thanksgiving baking, she told me, "The oven is sputtering and sparking." We shut it down, then made a quick round of appliance stores looking for a replacement. We had an EXCELLENT experience with Jorge and Crystal at The Appliance Tech. Our washer started to fill up with water between cycles, so I searched on Google for an appliance repair company in Midland. After looking at several companies, I decided to give "The Appliance Tech" a try when someone else said that they gave great service at a reasonable price (last year, we used another appliance service company here in Midland for our dryer, but the service and labor fees were astronomical, with no warranty given on the work performed). I left a message, but received a call back promptly and scheduled for the following day. Jorge was the technician that worked on our washer - he was extremely professional, competent, and efficient, and communicative. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained all the options to me, and after my decision, ordered the parts. 2 days later, he had the parts and finished the repair, within 30 minutes of work. He stayed for an entire washer cycle (quick wash) to make sure it was working properly. The work is warrantied for the amount of time that the new parts are warrantied (makes sense), and the service fee isn't charged if you move forward with the repair. The service fee and labor were extremely reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!! read more

Knowledgeable. Prompt. Efficient. Honest. Do not look any further - this is the company that you want to call if you have issues with appliances. I was visiting my son in Odessa when his dryer quit. I called the company hoping to schedule an appointment for the next day or so and Jorge was at the house within hours! He is incredibly genuine/honest and very helpful. It wasn't the dryer after all, but rather the old breaker box. After getting the dryer going, he explained what we needed to do about the breaker box and as he was getting ready to leave (after 5:00 pm!), we casually asked him about the ice-maker in the refrigerator. Although I am sure he was ready to end his day, he promptly replaced a fuse and got the ice-maker running. This is who we will call every time and recommend to anyone who asks! read more
