For Anyone that's never been to the Home Depot, This is an absolutely enormous store. They are really getting into the Halloween scene with a fantastic selection of what I would consider professional decorations. A visit here with the kids is definitely worthwhile. They truly have everything from soup to nuts. A nice lawn and garden center outside too. Great service will point you in the right direction to find whatever it is you need and believe me we were there for some really weird stuff to address of an array of Home Repairs - found everything! Prices were very reasonable, and even though checkout took a while due to a distracted clerk who didn't see us at checkout 4, everything else was pretty good at this Home Depot. read more

This is how things are supposed to be when you go into a Home Depot. You're supposed to be able to find someone to help you, and they're supposed to be able to help you right away. That's exactly what happened here. I haven't seen anything like this in decades of coming to Home Depot in various locations. I needed to have a piece of wood cut to over the top of the table. There are two people ready to help me, even though it wasn't their department. The only thing keeping us from being a five-star experience was that they could not help me with the one thing I needed: their saw wasn't working, so they couldn't cut the wood that I needed. Looking to buy a dehumidifier, and NW Omaha store is the closest to me, so it's set as my home store, but they don't have the product in stock. The price shown if I have it delivered from the SW Omaha store says the prices is $193. (There is no mention of a delivery fee directly on the product page, but if you click Delivery Details, it says the cost of delivery is $8.99.) If I choose pick up the price is $279. The thing is they add $79 for the delivery once it's in your cart. Went to this location on 20 March 2021. Purchased a grill. Spoke to the sales person who said there would be free assembly and free delivery. She looked at the computer and said that they already had three built so we could probably get it later that day. She took us to the customer service to check out. Customer service told us that it would not be able to be delivered until 24 March. We were OK with that as it was free delivery anyway. On 23 March my wife received a phone call from Home Depot advising that they would have to push it back to Saturday the 27 March. We figured this would be OK as we'd both be home to pick it up. They said that it should be a morning delivery. On 27 March in the morning I contacted Home Depot to verify shipping time. They said it would not be delivered till 3:30 in the afternoon. I was a little worse for wear from that but it was still doable. We figured we'd be able to run some errands and then be back home for the delivery. At 3:30 we were home with no delivery. 4 o'clock still no delivery. 430 still nothing. I decided to call them back and ask what the status was. As they had told me before that we would get a phone call 30 minutes before they delivered it. Customer service advised me that had had been pushed back to 830 that evening. I demanded to talk to a manager. The manager got on the phone and I explain to him the situation starting from the 20th. He stated that sometimes people pay extra to get their stuff delivered to them sooner and that bumps the people that are getting free stuff. I advised him I was never informed of that and was told on the 20th that it would've been delivered the 20th previously. He said he was gonna call the shipping company and find out what the status was. He called me back a little later and said no one answered and that their information said it should be there by 8:30 in the evening. At 8:35 they delivered my grill. At 9:15 my wife received an email and a text advising that we would get our delivery between 6 AM and 8 PM that day. This is after we already received the grill they finally told us wind to be waiting for our delivery. Sunday morning 28 March I went out to the garage and took the wrapping around the grill off so I can get it in the backyard to be able to grill that evening. As I removed the plastic one of the side shelves partially fell off. The welding had snapped. There is nothing I could do to fix it. Also I open the grill to find that the grates inside we're not there. There was nothing for me to grill my food on. I was very very furious at this moment. I drove straight to the store. And went up to customer service. Customer service lady looked at me and I explained my week long situation. She said that she understood about the broking items. She started to give me an 800 number to call the manufacturer of the grill to get the replacement items. This is the point where I actually finally swore at her. I demanded to talk to a manager. Told her I was going to go grab a screwdriver off the shelf and take the shelving off the grill and the greats and just leave. She tried calling a manager but no one answered so she said she would run and get a manager. Eventually she came back and said she couldn't find the manager but she was going to have me take the stuff off the grill that I needed and just let me take it with me. She had another gentleman with her to assist. He proceeded to tell me how the delivery company that Home Depot uses is terrible. And he cares nothing but complaints from customers We finally got the pieces off that we needed and I went home and finished assembling my grill. Needless to say as I was looking over the grill there is a hidden drawer cold or Butler's shelf. The person who put it together decided to put it upside down so I had to correct his error. I really was not surprised that there was another mess up on this. I have included photos of the missing grates and broken welding. This morning I stopped into Home Depot as we had an issue with our TV mount for our move today. I wandered down aisles and found Craig who is on their merchandising team. He went above and beyond to help me come up with multiple solutions and ensured he sent me on my way with the best option. When I got home and it didn't quite work as I needed a bigger socket, I was thankful to find Craig again and he continued to go above and beyond to ensure it was absolutely the right combination of products to work. He truly made me feel like he cared about solving my problem and was determined to find the optimal solution for the least amount of money. He never once made me feel like I was bothering him or that it wasn't "his official job" to be assisting me in this way. Kudos to Craig & if they could, Home Depot should definitely commend Craig for being such an amazing employee to someone who wasn't sure what to do or if there was an option--especially at 7:30 am. read more

Been doing a bathroom remodel/update. Been visiting here a lot. I've had many very good experiences. I find nearly everything I need here. Good varieties, too. Prices are reasonable. The help is knowledgable and honest. If I ask the wrong person, they steer me to the right one. Best part? Being inexperienced, I have had too much of a material. They take returns with no hassle. Broken in the box? Replaced promptly. Cheerfully. That, alone, is really significant. It's a big lot store, so expect a walk in from the lot. Such a disappointment. I used to be a fan of Home Depot, not anymore. We decided to use them for our basement flooring job. Replace our carpet with LVT. Long story short, we had a lot of issues. The flooring installers did a great job. The store associates at Home Depot were not good. We were going to use them for our kitchen also but given the flooring situation and the misinformation we got from the kitchen designer, we decided we need to stay away. I ordered a water heater online because the store did not carry the size 65 gallon. The tracking number showed it left Dallas, Topeka then arrived at its destination (The destination is L Street.). I have stopped by the store 3x. They can't tell me where the water heater is and have no method or desire to do anything except look at the computer and say, I don't know where it is. For starters my girlfriend and I just purchased a new house and we are very excited for this next chapter of our lives but we wanted to update the house prior to moving in (mostly just new paint and replacing the gross old carpet with new LVP floors). Unfortunately, we chose a product that happens to be carried by Home Depot so we decided to get a measurement and estimate from them to decide whether we would have them install the flooring or do it ourselves as we were on the fence about it. I set up the measurement online and there is a $50 deposit required in order to have them send out someone to measure. Can't see any issue with that, as this "Deposit" will be credited towards the cost of the project per the website and that seems fair. I requested a measurement of both the upstairs for LVP and the basement for carpet but the guy who came to laserpoint the house explains that he can only measure for one or the other as it would be a separate quote. Kinda weird as we already have an idea which products we want and all but I'm ok with it as the LVP floors are the main thing we want a quote on and he was a nice dude. So he measures the upstairs and I get a call with my quote the next day (I think). However, the quoted price for labor is way higher than we expected or what we guesstimated based on the website rough estimate ($4 - 6 per square foot for materials and labor). Oh well, I'll just get the materials and we can do it ourselves. I go to the store to order everything and end up talking to the customer support desk at the SW Omaha store off 132nd and L. They were super busy and it was obvious the guy helping me was having a hard time figuring out how to cancel the labor/install part of the quote and just order the supplies. Most of the items are special order or not in stock so they'll have to order it he tells me. It's a big order so I guess that makes sense, go ahead and order it. I also sign up for the Home Depot credit card at this point and another employee helps me with that and checks me out. He confirms that the first employee placed my order and that my $50 deposit will be credited towards the (much bigger) purchase price that I won't have to pay until I go to pick it up. I leave with no order number or email confirmation which was strange since every other step of this process I had been blasted with emails. Early the next morning I get another call following up on my quote. I explained I already ordered just the materials at the store to install it myself so should be good to go. They say they will close my quote and add a note that it was being paid/handled directly with the store. Directly after that I called the store to follow up and the auto-prompt for check status of an order was unable to find my order. Great. The system transferred me to a customer service rep at the store who confirmed all they showed was my quote for materials and install. Explain everything and that ALL I WANT is to order the flooring materials and he replies with, "Oh you need to talk to Flooring to order that." So he transfers me to flooring. So I explain the situation to the flooring dude who answers, "Uhh yeah I can't order that for you because its all special order. You'll have to wait for a flooring specialist so call back in a few hours after 12pm." "I thought this was Flooring," I replied. "You're seriously telling me you can't just order these materials with the SKU part numbers listed on each one?" "Yeah you'd have to call back for that after 12." Proceed to go on the Home Depot website and search each SKU and order each item myself. They had everything I needed in stock except the trim/doorway pieces which were "special order" - meaning I had to click the Ship to Store option. Real special. Only issue now that I ordered the materials myself is it isn't linked to my deposit I had paid. But they were going to credit it towards my materials when they "ordered" it for me so I can just call and fix it right? Nope, I call and they tell me I have to go to the store. At store the manager rudely says NO. I have more to say but ran out of characters. read more

Went to pick up fridge, brought my own fridge dolly, asked for rope to tie it down and was told they don't supply rope...only twine. The staff was very condensending as u asked for rope and they would not furnish that. If I would of known, I would of brought my own straps but hey they tried to sell me straps and then said our policy is not to provide rope nor assist in the securing process. With other similar stores that sell the same products and offer rope, not a thin, really thin twine in addition to render assistance, I would not recommend this location. By the way, after I had secured the fridge with the dolly straps, they unhooked the strapped which twisted back onto the roller...I guess thus was another example of their unprofessional service. At the end of the day I have not experienced thus type of service at the other stores in thus market area. read more

This is a great place to pick up a few hardware items during the lunch hour. If I look like I'm in a hurry--and especially if I'm dressed up--store associates will approach and ask if they can help me find something--and they usually know where to find it. I've noticed that they tend to carry one mid-quality brand for any given item. So if I want a super-cheap C-clamp or a box of really good quality finish nails, I'll leave disappointed. But if I just want "an adequate tube of caulk" they'll do just fine. One exception is paint: I've found their Behr paint to be amazingly durable and easy to use. -1 rating point for letting hackers steal my credit card information. read more

Called into the store asking about what time they are delivering my drywall material on 4/30 and was told that they are delivering the order on 5/3. Talk to the manager of the store and was told that we could do 4/30. On Friday 4/30 I called and ask about my delivery and the person telling me that they can not deliver the material till 5/3 ask to talk to the store manager Mike who promised me that it will be deliver on 4/30 and was told that he is on pto and they can not deliver till Monday 5/3. Pro desk is useless. They are supposed to close at 6pm but we have visited twice at 3:30pm and 4:00pm respectively and they are never there. They have "closed out" for the day. When you finally get a hold of someone they require three days to run your order through their bid desk. If you follow up on it though, it can't be found in the system. If you call in they leave you on hold for 30 minutes. Customer service is horrible. Beware. There is nothing pro about this desk or this store. read more

VERY impressed by the logistics of my experience. I had my 2 year old with so I didn't want a bigger ordeal than I needed. I looked online at the item I wanted and noticed they had the aisle numbers and where the item is on the store map. I haven't seen that so obvious and easy to find on the website so far. Then I asked an employee where that particular I'll was, and he was very helpful. Then going through the self check out, the employee helped me scan a couple things that were difficult to get over the scanner. First of all, I had a return. Lady was very friendly, super quick process (I did have receipt) and was done. Well done on the returns! Secondly. I was excited to speak to someone about getting new doorknobs (18) today. I looked for someone, looked for a button to push for help before I walked across the store to customer service. Walked across the store to customer service-The lady there called someone (she too was very friendly) and I was told someone would meet me in hardware after they parked the fork lift. I waited for 15 minutes. No one came. I left. 20 minute drive to Home Depot, I was patient and asked for help, couldn't get any in a 15 minute waiting period and a 20 min. drive straight home. Would not shop at this store again. Came into this Home Depot because I was in the area to purchase a interior door. The guy at the door locations I asked clear direct questions to and he went off on really long rant about nothing that actually answered my questions, so I grabbed the door I chose and headed to the checkout. I asked another sales associate where the door knobs were located and she gave me a blank stare and said "somewhere down there" and pointed in a direction. Not a single person walked me to the items I needed or helped me. Then at the checkout I asked the cashier if they price match with their online prices, they don't! I was honestly most shocked by this! They DONT PRICE MATCH WITH THEIR OWN WEBSITE! WOW, needless to say I won't be returning and seriously missed my happy friendly smiles I am used to seeing at Lowe's. With customers shopping more and more online and less at actual retail stores you would think they would make a big effort to excel at customer service, the answer here is NO! Customers don't go in to hardware stores to window shop, they are there to buy, but somehow finding help in this store is next to impossible making the entire experience stressful and hard to know what item is best to buy. I had a bad experience with Home Depot both online and locally. I ordered some patio furniture on April 10 online. It was supposed to be delivered on 4/25 in time for my party on 5/7. On 4/25, it did not show up. I called and had to open up a ticket. Someone was supposed to get back to me within 48 hours. Nobody did. I called them and finally they told me that the delivery truck company went bankrupt and they did not know when I would get my furniture. I told them to cancel my order. They suggested I look locally. I checked locally and the store near me had both sets. They were $100 more for each set. I called the manager and asked why I could not have this furniture at the same price as I did originally. He said he would give it to me if I came in the next day. So I did come in and I bought two set from the store. They told me that the soonest they could deliver them was on 5/7. I told them that would not work because my party was that day. They promised to have my furniture delivered between 6 am and 10 am. At 10:15 am I had no furniture. I called and was told that the delivery truck driver called in sick. I asked why I was not notified. I was told that they were going to get around to it sometime that afternoon. Needless to say I cancelled my order. My guests had to sit on lawn chairs. Big box store. I had to traverse the entire front of the store before I found someone who could help me. I was looking to have some keys made. We walked all the way back to the other side of the store and they were not able to make the key I needed. There was no markings or anything stating the key could not be made-they just did not know how to make it. I rarely come into stores like this-but I ran Carl Jarl out of it's stock and still needed more of these keys. Thought at the very least with this as much stuff as they have in there that they would be able to cover my needs-but not so much. read more
