My first visit here at this location, they had everything I wanted in stock. When I was in the cleaning section..two gentle walked by and asked if I needed help, in-which I did on finding a proper duster..I wish these two guys were around when I was in the bathroom department trying to find a toilet seat...I was in this aisle for about 12-14mins trying to decide on which toilet seat I wanted and if I wanted plastic or wood...I had no idea picking out a toilet seat required so much thought good thing I did watch a toilet seat video on installation on homedepot's website I was able to measure my toilet seat before i came in the store so I know that I needed a rounded size. Anyhow, after I went to another department to seek help, I found one of the guys that helped me with the duster and he called someone over to help me in aisle 27 and "Big Ed" came and helped me with what I was unsure of, and "Smiley" told me what tool I needed for my toilet seat because i thought I needed a wrench. At the self checkout I was able to get my bucket on a slight discount by them taking off a small amount off my bucket because it was damaged pretty bad and was the last one of that kind and the manager on duty "Tiffany" gave the approval to "Christian" -whom was very polite and helped me out with checking out my items ..also, a lady named "Yee or Vee" assisted with the checkout as well. All in all I had a pretty solid first time experience at this location...I was going to give 4 stars because there was no one in the bath department but once the guy called for help in that department, Big Ed did come to the department pretty swiftly and all the other employees politeness aided as well.

Cashier was not wearing a mask for most of the time.. when I finally said something she covered her mouth only.

So many staff members not wearing masks today. Very disappointing. The virus spreads through your nose, so your nose has to be covered. I don't feel safe in there at all. I wish management was more engaged with what's going on in there during this

I like this place because of the location! So convenient...it's right across the street. But it is very hard to try and find a helper when needed. I see them around when I don't need them, but when I need them, luck has it that I can never find anyone. I must be jinxed. I come here when I need quick items to fix things or for packing boxes. The boxes are cheaper than Uhaul and seems to be a little stronger too. Home depot is great for the fixer upper items, but if you want a bigger variety of fancy lights and such, you need to go to Lowes. Overall: I'll be back, especially when I break something by accident (tends to be often. I'm a bit of a clutz, LOL)

My favorite home depot in Philly. Good mix of selection, and helpful sales people.

The store is highly organized and offers a surprisingly wide array of items for its size. What truly distinguishes it, however, is its staff. They are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. Walking in with a problem, they'll help you think through the best solution. Often, the advice alone makes the trip worthwhile, with the purchase being a bonus. In an age where almost everything can be ordered instantly online, places like this still play an essential role. Some issues require judgment and experience, not just a quick online search. The team here clearly knows their craft and is happy to share their expertise. What I especially value is their honesty. They never try to pressure you into buying unnecessary items. If they don't carry what you need, they'll tell you and often point you toward where to find it. Such confidence and integrity are rare. While large stores like Home Depot have vast inventories, for smaller or specialized items, especially related to older Center City homes, this store is often the better choice. Prices are fair, and the quality of guidance enhances the overall value. It's evident that this store is run with pride, care, and years of expertise. It has genuine character, and I hope the neighborhood appreciates it as much as I do. I'm always impressed when I visit. Thank you!

Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.

They really go the extra mile when it comes to customer service. Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. I've been blessed that I haven't had too many emergencies in my house but knowing a Stanley's run can be done quick sets my mind at ease. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.
