10/10 interactions. I walked in and nobody hounded me while I looked at the models and they answered my questions with no runaround. They had the exact speed queen I wanted in stock and it was delivered the very next day. The men behind the desk were knowledgeable and polite. They were upfront about size constraints and one hour after I stopped by, one of them came over to make sure the drier fit down the stairs and it wouldn't need to be disassembled (at an additional cost by a licensed and verified by the brand tech). They called when they were 20 minutes out, showed up on time, took the old drier and installed the new one taking the time to make sure all my questions were answered and it worked as expected. There was minimal scratches on the side of the machine (TO BE EXPECTED WITH ROW HOMES DONT YOU DARE COME HERE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT) and not a single dent on any door frame. So our washer broke approx. a week ago. We were shopping around and getting very stressed out. We found out due to how narrow our basement entry way is that only the most expensive will fit. The Speed Queen. Sounds luxurious right? Yeah the damn things are close to a grand. You can find it a little cheaper for a 3000 model but we found those have issues. Just search it online. Don't go cheap. Anyway we were getting close to driving to Delaware. It was cheap/no tax and they delivered. I had called Appliance & Tv discounters earlier. The guy I talked to told me to just come in and they'd work with me. I thought it was a cleaver ruse just to get me in the door. So I kept poking around. After my wife decided we'd found the best price she called them back and asked if they price matched. The guy she ended up talking to was named Mark. He said he could do that price. So we were like that's pretty cool let's run over there and see. So we get there and we are Pointed to our washer. We discuss how it's technically not the same price since Delaware has not sales tax so he drops the price again! This was awesome since I've been stressing how much these machines cost. Next we move on to delivery. Both my wife and I started new jobs a few months ago so taking off is a little iffy. They only had delivery hours during the week. They were not late enough for us. So then they were like you know what we will make it happen. Don't worry about it. Mark even said if we'd come over earlier he would've loaded it up and brought it over himself! These guys were awesome to deal with and make this extremely stressful situation okay. It's also only $50 to have the new washer installed and the old one taken away. The place in Delaware was $150. Then my wife goes and sees a fridge she's been eyeing up that is $1000 anywhere else. It's $750 here. So now I'm getting a fridge too. This I'm not excited about. I wish they would've charged more so I could've left the store with only one appliance. The guy that brought the appliances were very quick and efficient. They were also very friendly. Now the two pints that stopped me from giving five stars: they left the refrigerator box out front of my house. I called and asked that the come back and get it so I don't get fined. They said they would and never did. The refrigerator handles were put on in a kinda haphazard manner. I had to take them off later and reinstall them so they met flat with the fridge door. I visited this place a while before I actually bought my washer/dryer to see what my options were for getting a washer/dryer through a 23" wide door to the basement. They were pretty helpful in answering my questions though my options were very limited. I had a choice between a 1 or 2 speed washer, and a gas or electric dryer. I checked out two other places in the area. A "store" on Frankford and Trenton that I wouldn't send my worst enemy. And an appliance store at Aramingo and York. The one at Aramingo and York didn't have very friendly hours for the 9 - 5'er, mainly because their hours are 9 - 5. I peered through the window and saw the same models but a few hundo more than Appliance & TV Discounters. Back to Appliance & TV. Walked in and bought the new washer/dryer without any problems. The salesman, Al, was helpful and set me up with a quick delivery date and called a installation guy for me. Who is separate and costs extra, but that is because they had to dis/re-assemble the units to get them downstairs. Delivery day I was surprised when the installation guy arrived with the washer/dryer. He said the delivery guys are "too slow" for them. I had arranged removal with delivery so I had to call the store back a few times. They came about a week later to remove the old units. They could have come sooner but I needed them to come on a Saturday. Also, I had disassembled the old units and removed them from the basement myself so I wouldn't have to pay for someone to. I was able to throw a bunch out with the normal garbage, but the bigger pieces like the drums were not taken and what I needed removed. Best deals around with appliances and they offer quick delivery if they have your item in stock. Still, Ordering only took a few days for our new fridge but only because we wanted a different color. Delivery guys were super friendly and mindful of my freshly painted walls and new flooring. Super quick and clean installation plus they removed my old refrigerator. Thanks guys! read more

Don't bother. You can get the same appliances at a Lowe's or Home Depot with much better customer service. They are nice before they sell you the item, but once you buy, the customer service goes out the window. The kids they send over to deliver and remove items end up causing more damage and then try to act like it didn't happen or may have already been there. When you get someone on the phone, they give you a run around. They promise you a credit for damage and then never come through with it. They'll send someone to look at it who is not qualified to make repairs and claim that it all they are willing to do. Save yourself the aggravation and deal with a name brand store who actually know what customer service is all about. read more

I had a 24 inch gas range delivered and "installed". The delivery guy told me that he "wasn't allowed to touch the gas line". WTF????

I purchased a large Air Conditioner from this store. They sold me a 5 year service plan. This is the second time in the 5 years that it needed service and each time, I was unable to get the "service provider" to service the air conditioner. I have called the store and spoken to two employees. They tell me to just "wait" until I hear back from this service provider. It has been 24 hours and they have not returned my calls. I asked to speak with the store owner. Ron, the "asst mngr." refused to provide the owner's name. My e-mails have been ignored. I cannot have a non working air conditioner any lonmger! This store is engaging in a deceptive business practice. That is criminal. I would suggest you find a reputable store to purchase your appliances from. They made a half-hearted attempt to remove the old dryer. i was had to and was able to remove it myself. I paid 50 for delivery/removal. They let you know they don't install the new appliance but then they make a bunch of stipulations on the "free" removal once they get there. Because if they have to make any effort to remove the appliance, it becomes a "free courtesy" removal that they are under no obligation to carry out. When i called to express my dissatisfaction i was yelled at and told that he was in the business for many years and that basically i was being unreasonable. So much for the customer being right and making a little effort to do a job well. read more

I have purchased a dishwasher and a clothes dryer from this business. Aside from keeping it local, this place is convenient because their inventory is actually on hand. I have gone to Lowe's and Home Depot and nothing is in stock, as far as appliances go. This store not only will deliver, they have items available to carry out. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I also had a warranty issue with the dishwasher and a repairman was sent out immediately and the problem was resolved. I recommend this business. read more

This place is the absolute worst! I had a washer delivered and when it was taken down, they scratched my walls and the whole side of the washer was damaged ! When I called the store, I spoke to a guy and he said that there was nothing they could do ! I'm beyond angry about this ! So now I'm stuck with a damaged washer and damaged walls that I have to pay for! The one guy was so rude and acted as if it wasn't his problem and just left and sat in the delivery truck! Two tall guys! I didn't catch their names but I wish I had! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL ! SO ANGRY ! From what I understand it's all friends of the owner's and manager who writes positive reviews for the place ! Don't fall for it ! The most annoying thing to me is when I go to Lowes and Home Depot and there is no one to help, or when I get help, they do not know anything about what I need. My family has always bought our TVs and appliances from Appliance and TV Discounters- I can remember when we use to rent VHS tapes there as a kid!
