I've always been a Lowe's shopper, but I've recently been going to Home Depot because they have staff that can help you with cutting wood, finding what you need and especially help with loading heavy projects. Last time I was there as I was checking out a worker walked up and offered his help without me looking or even asking, now that's good Customer Service. Purchased a small pressure washer with the extended warranty for a few jobs I'd been hired to do. The first time it failed, they swapped it out, doing right by me. The second time it failed, they told me there was a policy change so I had to contact Allstate and file a claim. Over an $89 pressure washer. Costing me time and money. I told them I would do that, and request a refund, so I could purchase a different pressure washer from someone else. The only thing I'll go back to Home Depot for now is their Ryobi 18v tools, since no one else has them. Smart call, losing a lot of business over an $89 pressure washer. read more

Bought a new whirlpool dishwasher- bought extended warranty. Piece of junk failed after 2 months and Home Depot won't honor the extended warranty as they are saying it is the manufacturers problem. Manufacturer has made filing a claim impossible. Totally wasted $1200 bucks. Home Depot could care less and is no help. Extended warranty is a joke. Two pieces of advice. Don't buy anything from Home Depot and don't buy anything from Whirlpool. I trusted both and lost read more

Just stationed here and treated horribly... Well lack thereof. Needed help with appliances and talked with 3 other associates. All they did was call for assistance with appliances over the intercom. no one showed in a span of 30 minutes. Apparently no one else was competent enough to help with a purchase other than the appliance associate who was nowhere to be found. Will be taking my business elsewhere regardless of the cost. Customer service is much more important to me. read more

The door from the main store to garden center is NOT handicap friendly. If you are in a wheelchair, you cannot push open the door and go through it at the same time. read more

Worst home depot,prattville,al Bought dynasty paint,tried to return,was told,can't return,no refund,no other paint ,no help,paint was like water colors,took 4 coats,still didn't cover.was treated like l did something wrond,wrong, there own ads,advertizing says full refunds,exchanges on paint,l got nothing ,they lie on product advertizing of paint returns.Dont buy paint from them at this store. read more

The worst of the worst. Two delivery dates for appliances. Failed to show up. Actually canceled the 2nd one without telling us after assuring us they were on the truck and would be delivered. The appliances are in the warehouse, not on back order and paid for. Now we want our money back but we have to wait for corporate to send us a check. Don't shop here. read more

This is by far the worst Home Depot I've ever been to. It literally takes 45 minutes to get help with anything you have to order or have them bring out from the back. I waited 20 minutes for a piece of paper to be walked down to my register because the associate helping me would rather text on her phone than walk down to retrieve the document herself. Before moving to Prattville I have always enjoyed Home Depot. As of today, I will be shopping across the street at Lowe's. read more

Went there to purchase tile to redo my bathroom with. Found a really nice pIece that I really wanted but could not get anyone to wait on me. The purchase was gonna be at least around $1800. Could not believe that they had no interest in me as a customer. Went to Lowe's and was waited on the best employee that took so much time with me and making suggestions. It's easy to find things in this store compared to Lowe's. From the time you walk in the door people are waiting to ask if you need help with anything. I really appreciate this as I am no expert when it comes to home improvement. The overall environment is nice. They have a good selection. No complaints here. read more
