Have been to the Rossford Home Depot for miscellaneous projects. The store had white barn paint that I was in need to paint a barn. They always seem to have what I am looking for and the store is always clean. Worst experience I ever had. Was working on a big painting project for our kitchen and had to get a gallon of paint. I was also was buying some trim. The trim I got was sold by the Foot. So trying to check out I scanned a couple hundred dollars worth of material and then the very last thing was that trim. I asked the lady to deduct a foot because the end of one of the trim was bad. She said they couldn't do that I would have to go all the way to the back of the store and cut off that one foot piece that is bad. I asked could you get the manager maybe to override it and she says I'm not getting the manager I'm the head cashier and my decisions final. So I canceled all of my order except for the paint which I desperately needed and went on about my way. This seems to be an issue at the store on a regular basis believe me. People were still checking out at the cash register and it was not yet 8pm. Went to Lowe's right down the street and made my purchase there. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT!!!! After doing extensive research and seeing the high ratings we purchased a Fridgidaire garage freezer. Three and a half months later it quit cooling. I finally spoke to someone after calling the store several times over several hours of trying (not answering calls directed to that department). When I explained my issue she said to me "well I don't know why your green light is blinking. Did you even read the manual?" That is insulting. I did read the manual and did everything to reset or adjust the freezer temp.Turns out after two days...48 hours to be exact, your appliance issue is no longer Home Depot's problem. Even after speaking with an Operations manager he said because I did not purchase the extended warranty they have nothing to do with remedying my issues. The freezer was just over 90 DAYS old, I should not have to worry about an extended warranty at this point. They gave me the 800 number to Fridgidaire, that's it. Fridgidare is no better. I am still waiting for their service person to come, almost a week later. Meanwhile, I have no freezer and garbage bags of ruined food worth hundreds of dollars and ZERO concern from the company I bought it from. Also, less than adequate concern from the company that manufactured it. When I escalated the problem to Home Depot corporate I was told it is her job to explain company policy to me and they were not able to do anything but note my account and recommend store training to work on their customer service. No help to me. No real answers to my problem. No standing by their product, or at least standing by their name in the home improvement industry, and helping a customer who invested in a new freezer to protect the purchase of meat to feed her large family . I expected more from such a large company with such a big presence in our community. read more

If looking to do a kitchen cabinet/counter project with them don't waste your time. After being ignored for 20 min by 2 employees we left, returned the next day to be told we had to have an appointment. Scheduled our appointment. At our appointment we gave our info and was told they would have a work up in a couple days. 5 days later my husband stopped in and was told it had not been started. On day 7 I called and spoke to the manager and was told that they only do work ups/designs after we had them come out and measure. Wow! How can the person in charge of our appointment not know this? Manager said they only do it after having them come out as to not waste their employees time. Well, no worries as Lowe's across the street had no problem working with us to design our dream kitchen. read more

Was treated like an idiot by the cashier in the garden center because I was trying to buy a garbage can lid. Apparently they do not sell them even though they are on the shelf, separate from the cans. She grilled me on why I thought I should be able to buy a lid without a can until I was apologizing and embarrassed. Customer Service was equally as rude when I complained, only saying "sorry". This was my 3rd bad experience at this store with employees. Gabby, the person who finally did help me checkout (after they took my garbage can lid away from me) was very nice and helpful. Maybe they ought to let her run this store. My advice, go across the street to Lowe's, they seem to have their act together much better then Home Depot. read more

We used Home Depot to remodel our master bathroom. Complete tear out and new cabinets, tub, shower etc. They handled the design very well and then the installation went as we were told. The price was great and the quality of the work and the fixtures has been very good. I was so happy that I have used this Home Depot to install two windows and a sliding custom patio door. I have and will recommend them in the future. read more

We will never shop here again. After waiting for an hour to buy shingles when we went to pick them up they were not ready. I called inthe advance to let them know we would be there in an hour. Not ready. The girl also said they didn't have our full order in, also incorrect. After 2 forktrucks and having to take the tail gate off of our truck, they finally loaded one pallet and then we had to load the other pallet ourselves. Will continue to shop at Menards and Lowes bc we've never had service half that bad at those locations. read more

The employees at this seem as if they could not be bothered to help customers. I went in there first on a Saturday afternoon, the guy working in the tools area was nice, but said he was too busy to help me find a clearanced item but he said there were 2 in stock. I got busy and didn't go back and actually did not return until monday afternoon. I have a friend that works for a Home Depot 'elsewhere' and they were monitoring the stock on the clearanced drill set. My friend said there were still 2, probably 3 still available. So I went there Monday afternoon (as previously mentioned) and was immediately met with resistance by a middle aged female who definitely did NOT want to help me look... all she would do is look up on her little handheld scanner which apparently only checks stock using the homedepot.com website. She said it isn't carried in store... I was nice, but sternly insisted it WAS in that store. She pretended to look at the main displays but I could tell her mind was already made up. She knew everything. Frustrated, I went to customer service before leaving... I asked the girl if there was any way to look up store inventory... WITHOUT using that stupid scanner because that method is far from accurate. She had no idea but at least she asked a few people... then I was directed to a different girl at the counter... it seemed as though the method she used took forever but she confirmed what my friend had told me that there were at least 2 in stock. I went back to the area and started looking again, this time that woman from the first time purposefully avoided me. Frustrated I left the store... not ONE person ever greeted me while I was walking about looking up at the stock above the aisles.. NOT ONE. Tuesday morning, about 6:40am, I returned to that store on my way to work. I was met with a well dressed person named Gary who after conversing with him, he did say it wasn't his store. He looked (or at least pretended to) for a few minutes. He also looked up that item and said that my friend was correct that there were at least 2, but more than likely 3 at this store. He took down my name, phone number, and item number and said while they were doing their walk through that day they would keep an eye out for them. Well, sure enough, they must have kept their eye out as the stock depleted by 1 but I DID NOT RECEIVE A PHONE CALL.... It is my belief that one or more associates are concealing merchandise from customers for their own benefit. I actively shop at HomeDepot, have a credit card, and most of the time pay their inflated retail pricing... as a loyal customer I believe that if we can 'score' a deal then that makes it worth while... but not when I am lied to, avoided, and purposefully mislead. I wanted those drills because I work in a factory and my maintenance employees are using outdated and failing drills to do some of their work... which can be frustrating and also inefficient for quality time spent per job. We tried to buy them new drills but they come up missing... and now we were bought out by a global conglomerate and we're on a zero budget.. so, basically, they're not getting new tools. My friend told me about these drills going clearance and since it is coming out of my own personal pocket, I thought I could show my employees that we're doing the best we can for them with what we have... and the built in security features mean these should be worthless without the 'key' so there is no danger of them coming up missing. However, after wasting several trips and literally hours now, I guess my team is just going to have to continue with their archaic drills and I will have to go to Menard's or Lowes... if I'm paying retail pricing I will at least see to it it does NOT go to Homedepot. I have also already removed homedepot from our 'buy from' vendor. read more

What a great store. Every time I walk by an employee they ask me if they can help me with anything. Occasionally, I say yes and they actually walk me to the item I am looking for. One employee actually walked me from one side of the store all the way over to the other side to show me the item I was looking for. I was stumbling around in the hardware aisle trying to find a certain size screw for a project and this young lady who is an employee asked me if I needed help. She really knew her stuff. She took me right over to the correct drawer and showed me exactly what I needed. I would have been in that aisle for an hour and a half trying to figure that out What great service! read more
