I can get some good things here, but whenever I need wood, they leave all of the crap wood that no one is going to buy. Get it out of there and put decent wood out. Come on Home Depot, you could do better. Purchased a storm door and paid for installation. The day of installation the installer did not show up. Installer says he had car trouble and will not make it. Now installer is saying in may be a few days because his truck is in the shop. REALLY?? I took off work for the install, and it was cancelled and now the installer has the ability to say it's going to be a couple more days?? What? Home Depot do you even know what is going on? These contractors are a reflection on you. Get a different installer assigned and get this job done.....Still wondering when the door will get installed. I purchased the refrigerator the first week of June . They brought me a defective one asked for another one it was on back order for months so pick out a new one . We are having our kitchen remodeled. First, the majority of the cabinets came in the week of July 13. However, the others did not arrive until Aug. 13. Second, I was not upset with Depot regarding the delay. Why am I upset? Third, we were informed (multiple times) that the Contractor would begin demolition on Aug. 14. Untrue. He just came out to check the contents in the boxes. They won't be out until Aug 31st. We have already taken out our sink, dishwasher and cleared the kitchen. Cute, guys. The store was so trashed and orders being pulled for contractors on Monday that they had most of the lumber carts loaded with product for pick up on Monday. Also shoved up against all the lumber to where you couldn't even get it without moving other peoples products and carts. I understand that contract money is good money for this location, but they're killing the individual ability to even get to the lumber. my construction manager went to SC Home Depot to purchase some material for projects He was charged hundreds of dollars by associate running the checkout lane. Tried to tell the customer that that was the price for the concrete after explaining it was only six bags of concrete that was not $100 apiece the checker back down in put in the correct price. I think it was a scam he was trying to pull off taking advantage of someone who was not too savvy in the English language. Also, the American flag ripped torn and twisted up on the building. What a disrespectful thing to do to fly our like that. Go get a ladder go in the other department and get an American flag and replace it. ASAP. read more

This whole ordeal started mid Dec 2024. * I bought an LG Thin -Q fridge, microwave, washer and dryer beg to mid Dec at this location- St Louis on S Lindbergh. Issue was with fridge/delivery/your mgr Chris 1.) 1st delivery was to take place on Dec 24, 2024. Was told that their (HD) delivery service would be notifying me eve or two before with a 4 hr window when they would be arriving. I said great bc I am scheduled to work so if I have a notice so I can arrange 1/2 day off day or two before. Dec 23rd rolls around and I waited until 6-7 for this delivery co to call. 7 pm rolled around and I heard nothing. I called Home Depot & spoke with mgr on duty on 12/23 and they were nice & professional stated they would call delivery service and call me back. Mgr called me back from HD and was apologetic stating that they (delivery service) were already closed. Around 9-9:30pm eve of that 12/23 , I get a text not call from this delivery service (I was in bed already asleep) and text me that they would be there following day on 12/24 between 1-5pm. I'm thinking its this late in eve and your texting me this late for an appt tomorrow? I mean is this normal for delivery service to call customer or text at 9-9:30 in eve? Great and I'm scheduled for work tomorrow all day so I called my Nrsg Mgr following morn and told her the late notice of HD delivery service , what happened , and if I could work 1/2 day so I could be home by 1pm. She told me she wishes she could help me and approve it but bc of late notice, another nurse called in sick, and we were swamped. Then I have to call around and found a friend that would agree to help me early afternoon until I got home around 5:30pm. I found one of my friends, Darell that stated no problem. He would go and stay until I got home. So much stress. I arrive at home after work and Darell tells me incident that occurred on this delivery day on 12/24. He reported to me that Incase you didn't notice, your old fridge I had to put back in (after he emptied food and not to mention, already sold fridge) bc HD delivery service just left not long before you got home. and said we dont remove doors from fridge. I know that is BS bc my neighbor had the same exact fridge delivered into her villa which is same exact layout as my villa so no fridge on Christmas Eve. I called Home Depot and asked for a Mgr and spoke to a Chris. Home Depot has this Chris as a mgr. I don't know what to say other than Wow! He gave me new delivery date so I take off half a day again only for a no call no show and when I call back to Home Depot again, I spoke to a diff mgr this eve and this mgr was pleasant, kind, and professional. He apologized and told me that it looks like the delivery was cancelled. So o schedule another delivery with this mgr and again took off 1/2 day again and another no call no show from delivery people. What in the hell is going on at this point? I call again and guess who answers the phone when I ask to talk to a mgr again? This Chris guy! He answered and I said Hi Chris this is Michaela again I'm sorry to call but again a no call no show. He sighed and again no apology but told me he called delivery peeps and they said it wasn't on the truck. I told Chris this is getting a little redic and he cut me off and said DO NOT EVER CALL THIS STORE AGAIN! DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE AGAIN and hung up. I was just shocked. After that incident , I went to Lowe's and bought a new fridge and zero issues at all. i was laughed at to my face when asking about buying certain screws and dismissed by the worker helping me after waiting 20 minutes and 3 pages for assistance. The package of screws I need is in my amazon cart but I was hoping to shop local and I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and had to walk around to stop crying after the worker told me directly "well this is what we have" and laughed at my questions. The younger cashiers were helpful but being a woman alone asking questions in this location only ruined my experience and lost future business from me and my friends. (The exact screws I needed are available in packs of 20 for $7 on amazon, I'll be shopping there first now). I was recently remodeling a bathroom and ran into a problem that brought the project to a halt.  I visited the Sunset Hills HD and asked for someone that had a lot of knowledge in building.  They called Too Tall Tony (aka Bob the Builder) to help me.  You'll know him when you see him; he's 5 ft. 17 in. tall. I explained the problem and Tony explained exactly what I needed to do in a way I could understand, how to do it, what materials I would need, and then walked with me in the store to gather those materials to ensure I had what I needed.  What service! Stopped by to pick up some building supplies for home improvement. Used the self checkout.. when putting in my pin number I bumped the unit and it dislodge my card slightly and it wouldn't read it. I tried several times then requested help.. the sales associate came over and I told her specifically "Do not bend my car over backwards" she did just that I told her the issue was with their card readers. She said with a sigh attitude "well this is the solution". She tried several times bending the card. She then suspended the sale went to a different register and it magically worked.. DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG WASHER AND DRYER SET FROM HOME DEPOT! My husband and I bought a Maytag top load washer and dryer set $1820 on 3/3/23 these items had to be ordered. They were delivered on 3/18/23, I was doing a load of wash on 4/6/23 and got an Error code of F3E2 for which required a service technician to come out. The service technician didn't come out until 4/18/23 at which time I was told it needed a new motherboard and hose. Mind you it is BRAND NEW he said 2-5 business days to get the parts. I purchased a garage door opener and had Home Depot install the opener. There was a mixup on the install as I was not told I had to bring the opener home with me. The installer arrived and I had to go back to the store and pickup the opener. The installer was nice enough to return the same day to complete the installation. I have had the opener three days and now there is an error code. Chamberlain does not have a warranty service and Home Depot does not either. I was told on Chamberlain website to unplug opener for 10 seconds and it may correct the problem. The problem here is I am 83 years old and getting on a ladder is iffy so I have to call someone to do this. My concern is if I have a serious problem how will I get it resolved if Home Depot does not service what they sell or install. Makes you think before you purchase a big ticket item. The sale was fine it's the after sale that was terrible so because of that I am giving a one star and will let this experience guide further purchases. This is Big shout out to the store manager Jennifer. My 90 year old friend and neighbor bought and paid for a new microwave. The time display was difficult to read. After having repair men come out. Ordering parts. The wrong parts showed up. After getting the right parts it was determined by GE that it was actually a glitch in the engineering. At this time we tried going to the appliance department at HD. Unable to help we were sent to contacting GE. No help at all. I convinced her to go back to the store and talk to the manager. Boy oh boy, I had No Idea we would be treated with such kindness & respect. JENNIFER gave me hope in humanity! She allowed Val to pick out the microwave of her choice and had it replaced. Loved our excursion to Home Depot. Or should I say excursions? One great area rug for the dining room, a fabu desk that followed her X patterns on the side, a desk chair and bookcase that did the same. All that and every piece was on sale. I mean mega damn sale. Swept up essential tools, a carbon monoxide detector, a fire detector and a toilet seat cover for good measure. When we needed help they gave it, calling around to check if we could also find a bigger bookcase in town and walking us two ladies out to help load up our van. Nice! This location is extremely disorganized and cluttered. They have what you need, but it is like an obstacle course navigating around the multiple items such as ladders, carts, refrigerators and other random items for sale that block every aisle! It makes for an extremely frustrating shopping experience when you can't fit a cart down most aisles because of the clutter or an inability to get the item you need to purchase because it is blocked by large machinery. Additional frustration greets you at check out when you find out only self checkout registers are open. More disorganization trying to figure out which self check outs were open and more carts and items in the way. Chaos! read more

My sister and I had trouble blending modern tech (they didn't like our insurance app, or using my debit card) and we could AUDIBLY recognize the eye rolling sound every time one of the guys turned his back on us to exchange a look with another guy. We're they being sexists? He didn't call me missy. But he did say he wouldn't remt the trunk to my sister until he could "see her behind the wheel". Did he think we were poor? He did think my debit was a prepaid credit card. Was he just one big microaggression dispenser for anyone who rents? Beats me. But the guys in tool rental were the only sucky part of our whole move. I am completing a furniture project and was in need of some handles. When I entered the store one of the associates was struggling to carry a large flower pot and the lady associate was standing at the door tossing insults at him. Not a great way to enter the store. I did find the knobs that I wanted and thought I would use the self check. I could only get half of the items to scan, finally the three associates that were holding the wall up behind me step forwarded and offered to assist me. After checking out and walking to the car my husband and I realized we forgot to get a metal pan for the paint so we walked back in WITH OUR PREVIOUS BAG, mind you "Jamie" was standing there the entire time we checked out the first time, but after we checked out the second time she decided to get all mouthy saying we didn't pay for the stuff WE HAD IN A HOME DEPOT BAG WITH THE RECEIPT. This is all happening while THE SECURITY ALARMS ARE GOING OFF!!! Yes thats right, while she was focusing all her attention on us, who had receipts for EVERY SINGLE ITEM, someone walked right past her who clearly didn't pay for their stuff because the alarms were going off. I have mixed reviews about this Home Depot. On some days they have people willing to help, answer your questions, show you exactly where the items are located by escorting your to its location. I was once even offered a bottle of water when picking up an online order. I have had two different occasions where it seemed as if they must have all had a meeting about being over helpful and joyous to their customers because it was almost surreal the amount of help I was offered. There are also some days where it just seems like they don't have enough help and I am having to search for employees aisle by aisle. The paint counter is always a toss up. If it happens to be a busy time, you will be waiting a while. Can't rush paint mixing though so I get that. They do not have as much "decor" items as Lowes does, but I never really find myself going to look for decorations much there. All in all I like this store because it is two minutes from my home.
