This is a Must Read if u shop at Home Depot! I usually never buy extended warranties but did when I purchased a combination heater/ air conditioner at Home Depot.When the unit quit functioning after a little over a year when I tried to return it for another one, even though I had a 3 yr extended warranty I was told by the manager that they couldn't do anything for me and that Allstate insurance is the people I needed to contact, that was in small print attached to the receipt. With that said I tried to call them immediately and got a Chat Bot that was a miserable experience that kept me waiting for minutes at a time between questions to make it so miserable that I couldn't stand it which I'm 100% sure that was their intention. my point is from the second they sold me that warranty that was just free money for them because they new they would never honor it If there was a problem. Also buying treager bbq pellets their prices were over double the price at Lowe's! Seriously! A 40 lb bag was about $35 at HD and Lowes offers the exact product for $16. If u do ur due diligence u will see for yoursel. Needless to say I can't stop kicking myself for not shopping at Lowe's for all these years costing me thousands of dollars I'm sure. I found the best customer service today from a young man named Zak. This guy is a gentleman, a hard worker and very professional at such a young age. He truly went above and beyond to make sure I was a satisfied customer. It even took moving pallets with a forklift to make sure I got good quality products. Horrible customer service. I was trying to get an in stock item and had an employee helping. They had it in stock and the employee helping was opening the box. A manager walked up and told us we couldn't be doing this. The item apparently wasn't supposed to be set out until December 5th. The manager told the employee to put the item back. The manager then glared and commanded me to come back December 5th. Seriously? I drove to Lowe's down the street instead. You should too. read more

Had hardwood floors installed and purchased by Home Depot. There was damage on a portion of the floor and so much of the area has existing flooring. Romanoff were the installers sent by Home Depot. This began in January. We noticed the floor was bumpy right away but gave it one week before we emailed them about the problem thinking it would settle. Here now in July, they say it is a moisture problem and they will not fix it. They have been out several times since January. The installer three times and the manufacturer twice. If it were a moisture problem wouldn't the existing floor of 15 years be bumpy? Ridiculous. We highly recommend staying away from Home Depot for installations. Bad Service. Lindsay comes highly recommended because she is so customer-friendly... She makes you feel like you're the only person in the store because she is so devoted to assisting you... Basically, tell her what you have in mind, and I can almost guarantee you're going to be so pleased with the end results... DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM THIS STORE. They delivered a washer and dryer, and were supposed to install both. When they arrived, the guy said he knew nothing about installing gas dryers, but he'd put a ticket in to get someone else to come out. He hooked up the washer, but I couldn't use it because I had no dryer. A week later, they call me and say actually, they can't hook up my dryer after all because it's propane and they don't do that. I will have to call my own person to hook it up. So, I get someone to come out and do that. Once it's hooked up, I did my first load of wash and it flooded my laundry room. I call Home Depot and say I want to return it, and they say I can't because I waited more that 48 hours to do that. I said I couldn't use my washer for weeks after delivery due to their incompetence, so how could I call within 48 ours? In short, they tell me too bad. They send a guy out to look at it, who confirms that it needs to be replaced. That's not good enough for Home Depot- so they make someone from LG come out to "fix" it. The LG employee says it's not repairable, and that I need the retailer to provide a new one. Home Depot refuses to do it, they say LG should do it. LG says Home Depot has to do it. Guess who's going to be stuck doing it? ME. I spend 800 bucks on this piece of garbage, and have been without a washing machine for 5 weeks. I have a bunch of kids in travel sports and three dogs- I'm at a laundry breaking point. If you call either of these large companies, you get either a literal robot (virtual assistance) or a human who acts like a robot. I'd love for any of these people to cough up 800 dollars of their own hard earned money and find themselves basically having to burn up that money. Home Depot is a TERRIBLE company and you should RUN. I wish zero stars was an option. I really do. read more

I was at Home Depot and was buying seeds and dirt outside . A women by the name of Patricia helped me and was so rude . I told her I needed a small bag of topsoil and she told me "go get the bag because she doesn't know". I told her there is usually a chart behind the register that she can refer to - I just want the cheapest in the green and white bag. She rudely relies ... I'm Not doing that- there's a 100 different dirt bags .... so I go and get the dirt and bring it back. Im ready to pay and hand here my military ID . She looked and said .. "it's expired. ". I told her yes and they are not making current ID's. So I asked her if she could just type it in. Patricia tells me ... this isn't LOWES. I wish it had been ..... so i tell her i have a USAA card and she tells me this doesn't work . I've used these cards the last 15 years and at Home Depot. But NOT today - Patricia has other plans for me. Called LET ME RUIN YOUR DAY BECAUSE I HATE MINE! I then say I have a copy of my DD214. I pull it out and she attempts to take it from me so "she can read it." I told her I would Hold it - it's US Navy. She reads my name and states .... "is that really your name or your husbands- that's a boys name . REALLY!!!!!! Give it up Lady and move on ! HOME DEPOT you should be appalled that you have someone like that representing your store and being antagonistic with Military Members. I see another review on here and she did the same thing! I have shopped that store for 15 years and am a former employee!!!!! I can assure you - she said one thing right ...... WE AINT LOWES ...... that you are NOT!!! Please do not order place orders online they can't seem to put it in the locker when it's supposed to already be in the locker. They lost it, had to call the manager the manager was telling us it was already picked up when we placed the order and had the confirmation code right in her face saying it was still in the locker I had to show my identification 3 times manager finally found it sitting in the sliding doors right behind her, But the people at the return desk were definitely a big help read more

I ordered and paid for an oven. Waited several weeks. My order was cancelled by either Home Depot or the manufacturer, however, the oven is still for sale it is just $600 more than I had already paid. A Home Depot req said the manufacturer cancelled the order. So if I still want the oven I have to pay $600 more. That's incredibly frustrating and horrible business practice. read more

bought a dishwasher online and waited over a month for it to be delivered. bought everything that was required for installation. finally came and the refused to install stating it needed a longer hose. they took it back. later found out it needed to be hardwired which was never discussed. had to wait another week for them to come back just to drop it off, not even do anything else. horrible customer service, never use it again. read more

Went to Home Depot to make a return. One couple in front of me. 2 people behind the counter. The one not helping a customer was on the phone. I kept my distance to be polite. I was clearly visible. Another customer goes up to woman on phone and starts asking questions. She wants to pick up her online order. Instead of helping me, who's standing in line, she helps the pushy customer. Purchased two very large tool chests. A father's day gift from my wife. Had to rent the truck and four of us to load it. Found a gouge in the top of one later that day under the label. HD customer service was unable to help saying top is from the manufacturer. Went to the store and spoke with the Manager on duty Ed. Ed went and attempted to remove the top from another one but was unable to. Ed had the cashier do a return and resale at a very good discount. That is customer service. read more

Need a new hose--they got it....how about some plants and mulch---they have you covered. You will need a garbage can too because the local pickup doesn't provide it --where ya gonna go---?? Home Depot. While your in there you will certainly need lightbulbs, various nail and screws for hanging pictures and fixing shit that broke in your last move. Speaking of moving...are you aware that you can buy all types of sizes of moving boxes and packaging tape all for much less than U-haul sells them for?? it's true....they even have a little spot housing various magazines and cookbooks unexpected but nice.... read more

At Home Depot in Spring Hill today. My husband showed cashier, Patricia, his military veteran's ID at check out. He's used it 100s of times at HD and they simply punch in his phone number, as at any HD, or they are trained to know what a military ID looks like. However, Patricia looked at the ID and said, "We don't take this ID." My husband assured her that HD honors military and veterans. Patricia insisted that they do not take that card, asked a young man's opinion passing by who said No. She did not ask the manager. People in line were not happy that HD did not honor the military. I called the manager, Keith, and he seemed perplexed about the situation. Just saying, everyone in the MILITARY in Williamson County, that LOWES does honor the MILITARY. read more

We bought a new washing machine and dryer a couple weeks ago. I shopped around a few other places who all had associates ready to help and answer all of my questions. When I came to this store the "help" in the appliance section was not friendly at all but I chose to purchase from Home Depot because we found the best deal on a set on clearance. The Electronic Express employee even sent me away with his honesty of Home Depot having the best deal, and actually educated me on the set so I came back later on with my husband to purchase. I paid for the appliances first and then the sales associate proceeded to try to take apart the stackable unit himself with out asking any other workers for help. Seeing as we already paid for the items my husband wasn't happy with the way it was being handled so he had to step in to help move them. He even was given paper towels to dust it off himself. We also didn't get any user manuals or anything. I feel like we got a good deal but the customer service was terrible. A few days later we had trouble with the installation and balancing the machine my husband called the store and was told he had to call Samsung and that he couldn't help but we could bring it back. A week later we figured out the problem and came back to buy rubber pads for the legs to help with vibrations since our flooring is laminate. We went back to appliances and the same associate was there and told my husband they didn't have those and we needed to look online. Already did that and found they were at Home Depot. I decided to ask someone else for help and he led us right to where they were. After all I am happy with my washer and dryer, but also feel like if you need to purchase a large appliance then you should go else where. The "help" they have in large appliances is careless not friendly and maybe he is knowledgeable but he sure wasn't ready to share knowledge or help with our purchase. read more

I shop at this Home Depot almost daily. Today they insulted our maintenance staff by refusing to sell me a Heat Pump without their installation. So online I go and I'll have it from an out of state provider and will install it before they realize they missed a $1500 sale. At least I tried to shop locally. read more

After placing an online order on Saturday September 30th for a new washer and dryer, I was called on Tuesday and informed that the product would not be delivered on Friday October 6th like my receipt stated. The reason was because the dryer was backordered, and they would not do a split shipment. They told me to go online and cancel the order and replace it with two separate orders to work around the backorder. They then notified me that because of this situation I lost my original delivery date and was going to have to wait longer to receive the washer which was in stock. With no efforts to work around this situation my order was cancelled and I went to Lowes. They did not have the items in stock and it was going to take 10 business days to get both items, but this is where CUSTOMER SERVICE took place. The sales associate checked inventory at other locations and is having them picked up from a nearby store and both washer and dryer will be delivered on Friday October 6th, my original delivery date that Home Depot gave me that they said they could no longer meet. After dealing with three associates at Home Depot regarding this situation, I will no longer spend my money with this company. read more

After having a nightmarish experience trying to buy an appliance package at Lowe's in Columbia, I gave up and went to the Spring Hill Home Depot, instead. Cindy in the appliance department was very helpful and sweet to work with. She really knew her stuff. However, she was called away to a meeting and handed me off to Bruce, who was also great to work with. Their knowledge of the appliances, overall helpfulness and friendly attitude made the whole experience so much better than what I had dealt with at Lowe's. If you need appliances, I would highly recommend you shop there and ask for Cindy or Bruce! read more
