I came to return a dehumidifier I purchased on 9/7/2025 that was defective. When I went to return it I learned that particular item only had a seven day return policy, which is wild. But anyway, the employee I was dealing with was polite and contacted the manager who gave me store credit since they couldn't do a return. Went to the plumbing department looking for an aerator for my bathroom faucet. Needed some help, but no one was available. Waited around for about 12-15 minutes. Finally, a few aisles down there was a Customer Assistant from another department who called for help and made the page. He said Dave or Nick would be coming over. Great. About 20 minutes later a Home Depot gentleman came over. He said he was paged to come help. I said...great.....I said are you Dave or Nick? He said....No... Louie?? I'm Louie. And if they didn't say Louie was coming, then I'll go back to the breakroom. I was frustrated and said....ok...then I'll go to Lowes. Louie said....I don't care. Great customer service.....NOT I went to Lowes and was treated quickly, efficiently, and with great customer service. And that's where I spent my money. read more

This Home Depot seems a bit dated from the outside, but on the inside, it's pretty much the same as other ones in the area. As usual, there were no staffers around to ask questions, so I had to do my own research on a mop that I wanted to get for the condo. Depending on what features you want on your mop, you can spend as little as $10 or as much as $50-60. Much of the difference is in the brand name, size of the mop and accessories. The self checkout lane is always a good way to avoid the long lines. read more

I last reviewed this location 2018 and they had three stars. Now, they get one. Why would they stop selling bird seed in this store when they sell it in their other stores. We're easygoing, which is good because all but one of the employees at this store really tested us today. We made an online order of two items and went to the store to pick them up. The store hadn't texted us yet but we were running errands and took a chance that the two items might have been pulled from the shelf when we arrived. The 'customer service' person who 'helped' us told us we had 58 minutes left before our order should be ready to be picked - and this was for one item because the other item would be drop shipped to the store by their vendor. She told us we could contact corporate if we felt that their website didn't clearly spell out that the vendor's item wouldn't be ready until June 3-6. Really, she did. I felt that she chastised us. It was as if she forgot we were customers. We're having work done in the house and need the item while heavy furniture is out of the way. If we wait for the Home Depot order it'll get here too late OR we'll have to recover the house ourselves instead of having the workers do it. She told us that they have 2000 items and they have a deal with this vendor to ship the product. I told her that to us the name above the door of each area is Home Depot. We didn't want to gain insight about the silos of her company - their internet area, their vendor area, etc. She called a coworker over and told him to pull the other item. He brought a stapled, previously opened bag of the wrong count item. She told him he needed to get the right item. He left to get the item, we assumed, and after a while she called him to find out what he was doing. We heard her give him a hard time about getting another order ready instead of bringing the correct item to her station. She asked him why he was pulling an order for a customer who wasn't in the store while we were there. She spoke down to him and it made us so uncomfortable that we volunteered to just go get the item from the shelf ourselves. We went to the garden area and stopped an employee to describe what we were looking for to find out where they stocked it. He promptly told us they don't carry that! We told him that they did and he abruptly cut us off to say "well, I don't know". We found the item and saw him as we were leaving that aisle. We showed it to him so he'd know what it was and where it was stored. His answer to us was that things go by many names (we didn't give it a name, just a description!). He said there are lots of items used for corners. We never said anything about corners and didn't have any idea about what he was saying. We returned to the customer service area and thankfully the rep was on break. We got another, delightful employee who could not have been nicer or more helpful. She tried to cancel the vendor item from the order but when she called on our behalf she found out that we have to wait for it to ship from the vendor before we can cancel the order. We agreed to call once we get notification that the order shipped - we didn't want to get into a conversation about why the order can't be cancelled until it ships. Ironically, we went to the manufacturer's site once we left the store and found the item is on SALE! So we ordered directly from them! As nice as the second customer service person was, we were glad to find the product elsewhere because the people in this store were unhelpful and uncaring. I don't see myself shopping at Home Depot anytime soon. Next day update - I called to cancel the portion of the order that was shipping to the store and spoke with a really nice person who reminded me that Home Depot has many kind, considerate people too. I want to believe there are many good people in their employ that deserve to keep their customers. Can't let the meanies win... read more

Garden shopping. Took my great aunt here to check on an order for her, and get some plants for me. She lives up in Sunrise so this was her closest home improvement store. They had a sale on plants, 3 for $10 so we got butter lettuce, cauliflower, strawberries, tomatoes, and a chamomile plant. We also picked up some ant and roach killers. We were given advice on what to buy, some brown gunk for roaches and some hotels for aunts. (Turns our neither worked very well, so they are going back.) We used the self check out machines in the garden department and needed some assistance. The lady there wasnt very excited to assist but eventually we got our items paid for and were on our way. read more

I went here with a friend to pick up some glue for a project we were working on. Due to how massive this store is, it was quite difficult to locate the glue and so we asked for assistance. My friend is french Canadian and so has quite a difficulty pronouncing english words. We were talking to a worker and he had some difficulty identifying what we were talking about. This is when he asked my friend to, and I quote "speak english please". This phrase proves to be highly insulting, especially to someone who is not from here. Please be more mindful of the diverse cultures that may visit your store. Apart from that, the experience went pretty well. 2 stars. read more

My husband and I are redoing our bathroom, and of corse bought the tub with the wrong side drain... needless to say the two of us are standing in the middle of the tub isle arguing because I can't find what I want! Along came Al who saved the day!!! Al went above and beyond to find what we wanted, took the time to make sure it was not damaged, and was a pleasure the whole time!! This is a large, well staffed, and well stocked Home Depot. It's very similar to the one at Tower Shops in Davie. It's also a very busy store, so if you go on the weekend, don't expect there to be staff readily available to answer your questions or make special orders. They're there, but they are super busy helping all the other DIYers. Overall, this store is organized and well run. Parts and items are generally in their proper bins. The customer service crew is efficient and good with returns. I had to use the women's restroom once, and will avoid that at all cost next time. I wish the store hadn't converted to so many self-scan terminals. Checking out takes forever now. read more

I have been growing a lemon balm plant and I took a quick trip to Home Depot to buy a bigger vase preferably one made out of clay, I really liked their garden center. I wasn't much of a plant/flower person in the past (I confess that in the past plants and flowers have died because I didn't care for it that much), but now I am a new person and Have learn to really appreciate it and enjoy gardening lol! They have a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants and flowers as well as different herbs, vegetables, and fruits to grow as well. I really love the different vases they had so many beautiful patterns and all different sizes and colors. I ended up buying a really nice vase and soil for my plant to grow eventually I'll make lemon balm tea because it taste like lemon candy and it's one of my favorite flavors and I am hooked on it! My plant hasn't died yet because I really take care of it and I talk to it I don't know they say talking helps LOL, but I hope to grow herbs and vegetables soon to cook at home! read more

Today I was at this location, and before self pay registers (one of it was closed) were a lot of customers waiting! An Asian woman opened other line and called some customers and then closed the line in front of Black guy who also stayed in the line in front of me and been one of called! She started talk to him in a rude manner, like he need go to the queue beginning and wait! It doesn't matter who you're, your color, race, etc...) - WE ALL HUMANS and service should be equal for everybody! If the line closed it should be closed for everybody, not just for chosen people! A standard and decent Home Depot. It's a chain so it appears to be the same as all other Home Depot stores. I'm giving this four stars because we had excellent service from an employee there (wish I remembered his name). We were trying to figure out what we needed to install hurricane shutters and he was giving us some tips, advice, and pointers. He was with us talking to us for about 20 minutes and was very thorough as to what we needed. He showed us all the supplies and tools. Other than that, it's a typical Home Depot store with all your home repair needs. The parking lot is big and they seemed to be well stock with all the products. They also match prices from competitors such as Amazon.com and Lowes so check into that before making a purchase. read more

I can almost always find everything I need all under one roof for minor home repairs here. My most recent trip was cool because I made my purchase and paid for it at home and 2 hours later I was texted a pick up code to come to the store. Finding a parking spot was tricky but once inside the signage was great. Enter the little code in the orange storage box reader and the door pops open with my purchase bagged with a paper receipt. I headed back to my car in less than 2 minutes. Repair was done and I would definitely use this service again! read more

Management decided long ago to close cash out registers for customers, for the convenience of management. Now they have a chaotic situation for customers to sort out because there is no clear indication if there is one line, two or more lines, and people frequently try to skip ahead and pay no attention to others already waiting. The result is customer arguments and stress, and the employee stationed there doesn't want to get into it. There is no design or plan for managing this, just anxiety. I stop going to this store, I avoid it and will go anywhere else to avoid the chaos trying to spend money and get out. read more

I never thought I'd enjoy shopping for home projects than buying clothes. I probably come here at least twice a week. Twice a day when I'm actively working on a project. Everyone is very knowledgeable with each product plus ask the staff's input. They normally have amazing ideas. One of the best projects I've done was exterior painting and the team in paint department are all helpful and amazing on matching the colors I've shown them. They could actually adjust your target color depends what your goal is. I have mine adjusted to 20-30% more lighter. Shout out for Mr. Christopher in the lumber department. His idea of my boxed planter was amazing. I didn't have to nail a single wood! Last but not least, the garden department. Mr. Sam is very talented. He showed me the plants suitable to my garden. I am posting for a relative who does not have Yelp: When going over the details of the work for a water heater installation at the store, I was quoted for more work than the installer provided. His work order was different and not what I agreed to at the store (and later confirmed over the phone) with the service attendant. But, I was still charged for the work that was agreed to at the Store. I have been a customer for over 20 years, across multiple states, and am a utility mechanic by trade. I have never been this dissatisfied with Home Depot's service and they should seriously reconsider who they hire for contract services. To top it off, I paid over $1300 for a crooked installation and incomplete work. I pride myself on good workmanship and service. I am so dissatisfied and upset that I can never recommend Home Depot again. read more

Unlike my review for the competition, this location had a long line for returns with only 2 staff members available during a very busy weekend timeframe. They have repeatedly been unresponsive and hard to find assistance and on a previous visit, I was actually made to feel my concern voiced to the manager was not significant enough to warrant an reasonable response. Really?! I have praised Home Depot for over 20 years and would like to still do so, BUT must give them 1 star. I wish I could give a ZERO. Today at 4:00 pm - Given store credit in excess of $300.00. Took my time, an hour and half, to search for a few items I needed for my home. Got to the register with the store credit card to find out that my girlfriend has to be there because the store credit was in her name. I thought, no problem. So I asked the cashier and the supervisor (Kevin - last name unknown) to put the shopping cart aside for me. It may take some time for her to get to the store. At this time its 5:37 PM. This store close at 8pm. I ask again to both the cashier and supervisor, "can you put my cart to the side until I return." Cashier said sure and tells the supervisor. This is when every good thought, years of purchasing from HD, not Lowes, goes down the drain. The supervisor states that he CANNOT babysit a cart. Remember I am not asking him to. Merely asking he you put it in a place that the items will not be put back on the shelf by another associate. It's not like HD is hurting for carts. I see plenty in and outside the store. Is that too much to ask for over $300 worth of items and more importantly a loyal 20 year customer. I guess so! Upon my return, 30 minutes later , I was shocked to know that the cart was gone. The cashier apologized, even though I dont fault him and the supervisor, who I do fault, lacks customer services skills and has ZERO compassion for the customer's time and energy. This is an easy location for getting in and out and usually isn't terribly crowded. If you're looking for anything for home repair, you'll probably be able to find it here. The staff is usually pretty knowledgeable and able to help you locate whatever you can't find on your own. I do find the garden area to be a bit lacking in selection and high in price. read more

2901 N University Dr, Sunrise, FL 33322 Very short version of this nightmare. The WORST customer service i have ever received from any appliance store. Bought two appliances from this store and was promised delivery within 5 days. Gave specific info on delivery with time window (Condominium complex) and the delivery was a no show. Called and spoke to the delivery dept. which had NO answers. Spoke to the manager on duty (Scott) whom made us feel like we were asking for a favor. Promised delivery for the following Monday but was unsure that it that was even possible. Got another call from his subordinate (David) whom was the person baring the bad news. We were told not until the following Wednesday to expect delivery. He also mentioned that Scott has offered $75.00 to "help us out" as if I needed to helped out apart from getting the two appliances I paid for. These people seem believe that they work for this company by not having customers buy what they are selling. My wife then went online to the Home Depot website and found that the same product we bought a week ago was for $100.00 less. So I called Scott and asked if he could take the $100.00 off the order which he responded with a (No Way!). So, I am canceling my order for if nothing else the principle of the whole deal and very poor customer service. Totally disappointed and frustrated. The upside is that I have found the same two products for less at Lowes and we will be in that store to purchase both a refrigerator and dishwasher from there competition. Do any of the employees at this Home Depot actually work when they are at their job? My cousin and I had to walk around the whole place just to find someone to cut our wood. When we finally find an employee, he makes us wait for five minutes while he makes a personal call. After waiting another ten minutes, he finally sends someone our way to cut the wood. Lucky for this place, this guy, who cut our wood, was nice and more than helpful cutting out wood. Go to Lowes down the street or another Home Depot, this place stinks of foul service. read more

Trying to buy carpet from Home Depot and they're just not interested in my business I guess. First of all, the flooring department isn't staffed. My wife and I have been here a total of 3 times and could not get service within 30 minutes. My wife finally ordered a measurement online. When we got the measurement/quote the total square footage was off by 35%. I'm in the building industry so I understand waste but 35%?! So I went back today to try and just wait it out. The one flooring specialist I saw said she needed to help someone else first but took pity on me and had another employee try to assist me. We started looking at the measurements from the HD subcontractor when Gwen showed up and told the young man "we don't show that to the customers". Are you kidding me? What are you hiding Home Depot? That you're compensating for your "Free Installation" by bumping the measurements to inflate the price? I brought a drawing with my own detailed measurements that showed the exact dimensions of the bedroom and Gwen just didn't seem interested. She called the measurement subcontractor, kept me waiting for another ten minutes and then said to me "The measurement is the measurement." Brilliant. read more

Better than neighborhood hardware store...I mean that . ok yes you gotta walk a bit once you get there. But when i bought a few sets of louvered doors and they were not all at this location Kenneth ( in door dept) picked the sets of doors up on his way into work the next day ! Then when i could not rent the truck ( as I am from NYC and I don't have car insurance ) Joe at the help desk came out to my moms car and figured out that the back seats in this 11 year of Chrysler pull forward to open up to the trunk !!! I was totally overwhelmed at how helpful everyone is at this Home Depot - maybe they are all this good ? But I love THIS Home Depot!!! read more
