Had the BEST customer service by Brittany in Sawgrass/Plantation store! She really knew her stuff! I went in to return a digital picture frame i bought at Pemboke Pines BB on Pines Blvd.... (Worst customer service in that store) In Plantation store the experience was excellent. From time entering store i was greeted and directed to Brittany to help me purchasing a new TV. She knew and explainedeach one in words i could understand. She also text me the info so i would have it when ready to purchase( have to measure my wall) she went over details and also explained why getting protection and/or membership protection was beneficial. We then went over to computers in which she was also very knowledgable. Kudos to Brittany at Best Biy Plantation From now on ill go only here. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: Today I was checking out the Sony headphones and was going to try on a black pair. Well, next to that pair was a white pair - it used to be white - it was covered with a black film over the entire piece - and Yes I took a pic. The lady next to me was also disgusted. I informed a floor employee and showed him the filthy item which he said were probably on display for a long time. I requested to speak with a manager and he directed me to Ashley. I never make complaints to management but this was unacceptable for obvious health reasons. She observed the filthy item and said she would remove them switch them out. I recently purchased an 85 inch tv and paid for the in home service (tv mounted on wall). TWICE, Best Buy has failed and lied about when my tv would be delivered. I've been given the run around between them and Geek squad about how it can be remedied. It's been over a month of rescheduling and canceling to get a tv which is beyond ridiculous. The phone customer service was 0/10, Best Buy refused to take accountability for their continued screw ups. The manager Domingo and Geek squad manager Onel were very kind but unfortunately they could not fix the issues i was experiencing. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well since they did not care to fix the issue when i spent almost $3,000.00 of my hard earned money and lost a day of work today due to their negligence. I've come to this store many times because I love to sample some of their products. On this visit, it was a bit annoying because one after the other, techs came by letting us know that they were available when we were ready to check out. They were acting like car sales reps. I shielded my daughter and her boyfriend so they could get a feel for the MacBooks without any pressure. Terrible customer service I went in during the evening, looking for earbuds that I had found through Best Buy online. The associate at the front door was cordial and quick to direct me to where they might be. Upon meeting the associate by computers I showed him what I was looking for and he directed me towards the electronic(Rog section). Here he showed me the headphones I was looking for on display as $69.99, he told me "wow, looks like the last pair". I asked him "was this the correct price?" he told me "yes sir it is" not one associate was at the front registers. so I stood in line like an idiot for 10 minutes until a best buy worker came to checkout another worker at the register then left me waiting for the online orders associate to be done with his 4 costumers. When I finally receive service the employee tells me he does not have the item in store (which I'm holding). I took a picture of the display and told him which associate helped me. I than was told to wait in which I took the time to track down said employee and told him what the associate in the front told me, he accompanied me and to conclude told me word for word "Hey I'm very sorry, even though it was labeled $69.99 and I verified with you that, that was the price there is nothing I can do about it." I visited this location on 2 occasions within a week to look for a new laptop and had the same experience on both instances. I walked around the laptop area where there were minimum of 3 - 4 store reps where perhaps one was attending to a customer and the others were behind their counter hanging out. 20 mins of walking around, stopping at the different lap top stations, lifting it to check the weight and actually trying to use a few of the displays.... Not on employees walked up to me in both occasions or acknowledged me even. This is disappointing as in any retail store acknowledging your customer is at the top of the list of things to do. For a company that offers only 12-18 month financing options in such a competitive market that offers the same pricing and up to 24 months of financing. You would believe customer service is what will set you apart. I unfortunately in this case would be more willing to go to another retailer or buy my product online. read more

The moment I walked into the store I was immediately greeted and as soon as I walked to the computers section a helpful customer service rep. offered immediately to help if I needed any help. Up to that moment I was just browsing. But soon I had a question and he quickly answer. It so happens that at the moment the store didn't have the particular laptop I was looking for. I read of being pushy and trying to guarantee a sale, he checked to see if another store had the item I was looking for - and yes, the store in Davie did. He suggested I could buy and pick it up there or I could go and get it there. Again, I felt no pressure to buy, which as a customers who wants to be in charge of his decisions, it was greatly appreciated. I continued browsing and found a different laptop that met my needs for a cheaper price. Another associate, - young man named Manny, immediately approached me as well, in case I needed help, and this time I did. Manny answered patiently all the questions I asked him - which trust me, were a lot - and then he looked for the laptop under the counter and couldn't find it. He took the time to check the back, and after his exhaustive search, I was finally able to purchase the laptop I needed. Again, the attention and customer service presented were impeccable. Made a reservation to have an iPhone screen replaced. Arrived at the scheduled 1:40 appointment time and the (1 and only) agent acknowledged me and said he'd be right with me as he was finishing up with another customer. It was clear he was running into snags which did not appear to be his fault. I waited patiently until the 2p crew came on and several other agents appeared. I was asked be a new agent for my appointment time and issue which I'd think was on the reservation, since such is asked at the time of making the appointment. Regardless, when I told him 1:40 he said, "Oh, well, it's fallen off the schedule now." I reminded him I've been in line SINCE my appointment time. He continued with then "running a diagnostic", which never involved my phone and told me I needed to disable "find my" app. When I tried to do so, a security delay was triggered and started a 1 hour countdown before it could be disabled (for understandable security reason if the phone was stolen). He then promptly said, "Oh, well, we'll have to reschedule you..." and offered a 4:40p appointment! Seriously? Because the Geek Squad was understaffed at my 1:40 appointment I get bumped back????? Unacceptable! I spoke with the manager who barely registered concern...I'm this goes nowhere...and apologized. Very frustrating! I would understand if I was told the repair would be delayed an hour because of the issue, but to basically tell me.."you go to the back of the line" is horrible customer service. Taking my phone directly to Apple who knows what they're doing. Final note: I'm a Best Buy care member ($245/year). THAT won't be renewed. I'm mad it just got paid. read more

I have been to a lot of Best Buy stores in my life. Assuming this store location has been recently fully remodeled... they did quite a spectacular job. This has to be the cleanest, well-kept and most modern Best Buy store I've ever seen. Big boy props to these guys. I came in for a quick pick-up of a gaming headset and went with a Corsair for $50 and it sounds amazing! I also noticed they had a small section of comic related toys and Funko Pop figures as well as some spaceship level washers and dryers. Place an order for curbside delivery yesterday item was ready today for pick up. Said it was ready I came. I did the check-in stood in the parking lot bay number one for over 20 minutes. Walked in the store to see a bunch of employees. Just standing around doing absolutely nothing except be useless And brain dead went to the customer service. They didn't even know I was checked in. I said I didn't even come in after waiting over 20 minutes. I'd still be waiting like a dummy huh? Buyers beware of fraudulent practices - If I could leave a rating of 0 stars I would!! I purchased a large amount of of products last year from the Sawgrass Best Buy which included a warranty. When I tried adding another product to the warranty a few months later I was told I don't have a warranty because it was transferred to some one else. After spending months and hours of my time going back and forth with the Sawgrass Best Buy Store, the Geek Squad and the Best Buy Credit Card, I was told they cannot transfer the warranty back, yet they had no problem transferring it out of my account without my knowledge or authorization. After wasting hours of my time, I cancelled the warranty and was expecting a refund which of course never came, I thought that was the end of it. Then earlier this year I was charged again for the warranty renewal. When I called and explained it had already been cancelled last year and I was still waiting for my refund, they said I don't have the authorization to cancel it, because it's not mine to cancel. I argued they cannot put someone else's charge on my credit card, make me liable then wash their hands of it. Now I finally received the refund check and thought this nightmare was over. But instead Best Buy opened a new credit card in my name with the balance for the warranty due again. This is fraudulent!!! read more

This is a review of Geek Squad only. I found the technician there, especially the female to be very UNHELPFUL. I took my computer in and they charged me for a diagnostic and then to replace the part. Basically I paid about 3 times what the part would have cost me that I really could have replaced myself. In addition, I had hand screws on my box which made it very easy to take the side of the box off in order to get inside. They replaced them with regular screws. When I finally noticed, I returned and they told me that it was so long ago that there was nothing that they could do. They told me they could order them for me which is no good. The moral of this story is buyer beware. I don't recommend Geek Squad to anyone. read more

Best Buy has "Open Box" items. I purchased an open box microwave under what they called excellent condition. Unfortunately, after getting it home, I saw the details of "excellent" and my microwave was not in excellent condition. I returned it and bought one at Lowes. Also, the 5 year warranty was less at Lowes. I thought I would give Best Buy another try and I found a dishwasher I wanted to buy but I could not get anyone at the store to answer. It was listed in "Excellent" condition and I did not want to drive all the way to the store and find out it was less than excellent. I found out that there is no number to call to get anyone at any Best Buy store. You just have to go thru the service number. When I called the service number, I was told that the notes indicate that it has some minor scratches, smudges and no packaging. They have no pictures so they cannot tell me if the scratches are on the front. I guess I will get it at Lowes or Home Depot. Terrible customer service. read more

I've unfortunately never had much luck at this or any other Best Buy store. This store is large, well lit, seemingly well stocked with an ample parking lot. The greeter at the door has always been been polite and provided direction to the product/item I was searching for at the time. This however is where the customer service begins and ends. On my last visit, for example, I was looking for a specific cord and size. I was directed to the back area of the store. There were two employees at the register. One was assisting a customer the other was scrolling through his mobile phone screen. I wasn't sure if he was using his phone to assist his co-worker in searching for a product/item for the customer, if he was on a break or just goofing off. So I decided to wait until he acknowledged my presence or the other employee was done with the customer. Approximately five-seven minutes later he raised his head from his phone, smiled and I asked if I needed help. Really!?!? I was annoyed because he was obviously goofing off but I asked for the item I came for anyway. He walked me over to the item he thought it was and they only carry it in one size. I felt I received no help whatsoever and the whole experience a complete waste of time. It's how I've felt each time I've visited the store. I went home that day, did my due diligence/research on the item and ordered it online for a reasonable price. It's what I'll continue to do going forward. read more

Oh he came called you twice you weren't home??? WTF I was home all day I took the day off work and the only call I received was at 1:49 basically if I need to reschedule call them back. I was told he came to my home called me twice and left a note.... really WTF Did he ring my doorbell no, call me no maybe knocked softly and left a note and left ... I was probably the last call of the day and he wanted to go home. I went to the door and found a note OMG I was totally home had my phone on me and was waiting for this guy! I seriously think he hung the door tag and walked away... my evening appointment must have been too late and he wanted to go home. You would think if he was at my door he would call or at last ring the doorbell?? I work 6 days a week I don't have time for this crap! I always shop Best Buy for appliances and have for 20 years. I am so pissed off right now I can't even tell you I'd ever go back! I'm shopping elsewhere for my dishwasher as we speak! Because they don't know when they can fit me in for delivery now!!??? The lady on the phone today was pleasant and tried her best to help not her fault but she couldn't help. Loved the new curbside pickup option they have at Best Buy! We were able to order our Cyber Monday deals and pick them up as early as the next day! You line up in your car. They visit your car and see which items you are there to pick up and jot it down on a paper that they place in your windshield, along with the order number. Someone comes out, picks up your paper and goes in to grab your items, and comes out to deliver them to your car. It went very smoothly, only suggestion is that they should write the order number twice on the paper they place on your windshield. One time for the order filler to take with them, and second time to be torn off and left in your window while they fill the order. This will prevent them wondering if they are returning to the correct car to hand off the items. It just happened to work out that we were 1 of 3 white SUV's in line back to back for pick up. So the poor guy took our paper and when he returned he realized that all the cars lined up were nearly identical and began to go towards the wrong vehicle. Of course he noticed and I waved at him to help out. He was very kind. I could just imagine that when it gets very busy, this may be a slight hiccup. Other than that, I thought the whole process was very well handled and recommend utilizing this new service. They also do not give you any paperwork with your order, it is immediately emailed to you as soon as they have brought the item to your car. It contains your receipt, warranties, and gift receipts (if you have selected that option during your purchase) in the email they send you. No more losing the paper copy! =) read more

This is a review for "Oscar, Advisor," at the Sunrise/Sawgrass Best Buy. A couple of days ago I was trying to solve a difficult problem with my Samsung S21 phone. Apparently, in the last "updating" conducted by Samsung a couple of months ago, the icon/symbol for dictation into the phone was "missing." I have been laboriously typing out all text messages and emails. I went to Best Buy to find the Samsung rep, but none was there with no info as to when he might return. I went to the help desk and found Oscar, an Advisor in the store. He listened to my tale and had no way to get a hold of any Samsung rep. However, after only a few minutes--and with no one in line behind me--he went to work on my phone. He scrolled through seemingly every possible screen to locate the now-missing item. After about ten minutes, he finally figured it out. One had to hold a finger pressed on the keyboard icon, and after a moment, a small image of a microphone appears. He moved it to an easily accessible spot and, VOILA! Oscar has saved me hundreds of hours on my phone and made my life more efficient. Thank yous and kudos to Advisor Oscar! Wayne A. The incident that took place yesterday 8/15/2024, has happened several times. After waiting my turn in line patiently to speak with customer service about changing my daughter's phone screen, I was told that I had to wait even longer because the line was long and the associate couldn't help me to get the screen protector that I needed. The associate could have asked for help and requested to the associate that it was standing at the front of the store instead of telling me to stay aside to help others in the line. 2 hours ago I bought a Samsung phone. They have you sign consent to charging you a $45 restock fee. That is fine if you want to RETURN a phone, BUT not fine when the phone they sold you is broken and you just want to exchange the phone for an unbroken phone. I brought the phone back within two hours of buying it. I was getting 1.7 MBPS down load speed on WiFi. Not normal at all. I just wanted to exchange the phone for the same model phone, same color and everything. They said they had to still charge me the $45 RESTOCK fee. My question then became, why would you restock a BROKEN phone. They said "it is not broke" They said the phone I bought has a 4mb processor, and 1.7 MBPS is normal and there for the phone is not broken. WHAT?!?! Who buys a phone in 2024 expecting 1.7MBPS? The crazy thing is, they are going to restock that phone for another customer to buy. Not only did they beat me out of $45, but they are going to knowingly sell that broken phone as " not broken". So many options out there. Walmart, Amazon, Target. Why choose Best Buy. Never again. read more

Considering that most items that Best Buy offers are not consumables, it's amazing how many times I've shopped there! After getting a ridiculously high quote to install video cameras from our alarm company - that they would not monitor but would charge a monthly fee besides the $6k to install - we went to Best Buy and purchased several high definition color cameras and DVR that holds a month's worth of recordings and has ports to spare - and had the cameras installed in the front and back of our house (by way of attic installation) for a fraction of the price. We researched sales on refrigerators and wound up finding the best price at Best Buy - and we got an additional discount at the store - making our enjoyment of the latest design in fridges financially within our reach. Delroy helped us with the camera purchase and the fridge purchase - it was great to work with the same person because we developed a rapport and his service made us feel that he was trustworthy. I've purchased Apple cables for my phone here and phone covers for our Android too. When I fried my laptop beyond saving, it was an online price for a Dell laptop that had me buy it online, using my Discover card for a discount, and quick pick up at the store. THAT was a buy! We replaced our temperamental HP printer with a wireless Canon one that one of the store associates recommended ( a gentleman with years of printer industry experience) and it's been a breeze to print pics and docs ever since. Today I brought my dog-chewed USB 3.0 cable to Best Buy in the hopes they might have a replacement and Computer Associate John took a split second glance at it before knowing just what it was. The ends are unique - I don't know how he even saw them in that split second but he did and walked me over to a box that contained that cable. Between the discount on the box and my Best Buy $5 coupon it cost me far less than I expected. Electronics can be overwhelming and confusing but when I shop at this store I feel that I'm in good hands. I don't have to know everything - I can trust that they do...and we've been very happy with each purchase that we've made. read more

CustOmer experience was not good at all. My wife went in to purchase a new laptop and never got helped within the 30 minutes standing there. Only saw 1 associate in this large area of the store, but if you look over to the right, there were 4 associates relaxing in their office/break room on the sofas or at desks. Would suggest closing that door when 3 customers are standing in the "Apple customer service" line and 4 associates relaxing. We walked out after not being helped for so long, and we were not the only ones. Thankfully, at least 1 customer was helped during this time of Back to School. We will not be back to this location. read more
