Buyers Beware, I bought a dryer from Home Depot also other appliances as well. But When I bought the dryer I also purchased a 5 year warranty on 4/26/2025. I was doing laundry recently about 1-2 weeks ago and I smelled something burning. I didn't know where the smell was coming from. So I went over by the dryer and that is where the smell was coming from. I immediately turned the dryer off mind you that my husband and I always clean the lint from the inside and he had blown it out from the wall. Know I called the Home Depot Protection Plan by Allstate. I then submitted a claim and it was approved. The company called me and told me that they had received the referral and made an appointment and said that the parts would be delivered which they were. The appointment was made for the 26 of August which is today at 12:00 noon. No one show up. I called the company and now the person is telling me that nobody is coming and that she will have to schedule the appointment for next week. I had an appointment this morning in Tallahassee that I had to cancel because I didn't know if I would be home in time for my service appointment. I am pissed. Now days you don't know what you are buying. There are so many greedy people out there who want money and will sell you trash. And what needs to improve is stop lying to customers make sure that the appointment is confirmed the day before and stop playing games which I don't have time or the money for. I have been taking out clothes to the laundry mat and that's money and not to mention my gas,money to dry clothes, and my time. And also paid for the dryer and the warranty. consistently one of the worse customer service experiences Ive ever had. without fail, you can not get a curbside pickup. you can check in, call and be on hold for 30 minutes and then still wait after they say their on their way for another 40+ minutes. then you have to get out and go inside. and even though it says your order is ready hours ago it isnt! don't offer a service you can't deliver. read more

I'm currently visiting the area and wanted to go look at some plants. I was disappointed because the garden center was not in good condition. A lot of the plants were dry, and nobody was watering them. I wanted some help, and I felt ignored. A lot of the employees did not offer to help. I asked a question, and the lady was very cold and direct and just said no. I'm not sure if they're having staffing issues but the place is not very clean a lot of things are not very organize it just doesn't feel and seem like all the other locations that I've been to. The north west Tallahassee store is a great place to shop. Everyone of the customer service representatives I've had the pleasure to work with are wonderful. I am treated with respect in this store. I cannot say the same thing for the North East Tallahassee store. The contrast between these two stores are extreme. I recently injured my eye in my shoulder, and the customer service representatives in the northwest store have been very helpful. read more

Finally a hit! After looking at options on our own, we decided on a product but had questions. There were 3 employees sitting several feet away but in conversations. One of the guys kept eyeing us but made no effort to ask if we needed help. I finally approached the group to ask for assistance. Brett came over and started to answer questions. Being that we wanted to leave with product on this visit, we were limited in choices. He pointed out a sale item with plenty in stock so we were sold. Btw, this was the best price anywhere. He advised us on the under-floor required and took care of everything. He processed the order and payment, found the stock and drove the forklift to our truck and loaded everything. We purchased a dryer on line, paid for a delivery. Home Depot contracted delivery service set up date a time window of 11-330. No call, no nothing they were running late. My wife called all afternoon to Home Depot customer service. Deliver driver finally arrived at 630, we live in a condo in panama city, security asked delivery driver to park over at parking garage and go up elevator next to parking spot. Delivery driver refused and drive off. We were standing there as he drive off. This was Friday May 5. Here it is Friday may 12 and wife has been on home Depot customer service line every day, still no new delivery date . They keep telling her they can locate the dryer. Absolutely unbelievable. She spoke with customer service at 1147 this morning. They said should have a new date and window in 10 minutes. No call, no email. This is the Home Depot contracted delivery service. They said" once we turn over to delivery service it's out of our hands". Extremely Poor Customer Service!!!!!! Actually less than Zero Stars read more

I will premise this review by saying that I have visited this location several times, as I live close by. The store has everything that a Home Depot should have. I never go in looking for more than some simple gardening supplies or paints. On my most recent trip, however, I was seeking out some wood as I am undertaking a small building project. I first talked a man who worked in the paint and stain section and he was very helpful. I even asked him about lumber which is out of his department, and he seemed knowledgeable and ready to assist. He couldn't leave his station, so I headed down to lumber only to find not a single worker on duty. I can understand this as I work in customer service and workers are limited, but I didn't even see one in the area. I walk over to customer service to see if I can find an associate, and they tell me all their workers called out!? Who is running the department then? I mentioned that I was undertaking a project while making chit chat with the customer service representative, and he quickly stated that they do not "do" projects and that they couldn't (or wouldn't) cut any of the wood I was going to pick out. Also they mentioned that the saw wasn't precise and they don't guarantee the cuts will be correct. I wasn't sure what this meant as I just needed supplies be I was told they cut the wood. As mentioned above I have had positive experiences here and will probably be back. Next time I will definitely adjust my expectations for customer service though. read more

I went in at 5:35 pm Monday to buy a replacement fridge for a residents and was told it could be delivered the next day because I made my purchase after 4pm. (No problem, I was very understanding.) I was told it would be delivered today (Wednesday) morning. I have been calling the store getting the run around and hung up on. No ETA, no call from the manager or the delivery guys. I usually shop at Home Depot for all my appliances but because this is an EMERGENCY I went to Lowes. Its now 6:06pm still no fridge. And please don't try to use the COVID-19 as an excuse for not showing up or the crappy service. read more

This store has the worst inventory of any HD my husband and I have ever been in. We were looking for a fire pit that was small and lightweight and had first went to Lowes. Lowes had quite a few to choose from and they had them set up on display in their grill display area inside the store. We found one that we liked there, but wanted to compare what they had a Home Depot before purchasing. When we walked into HD, it reminded us of a store that was closing (maybe they are?) - it just felt empty, unstocked and liquidated. We looked for grills because we thought the fire pits would be close to them as they were at Lowes. We found none. We ended up walking outside to the garden dept to see if maybe the grills and fire pits were out there. What a disaster that was! Boxes everywhere (maybe Christmas stock?) and stuff was just sparsely shelved. We did find one fire pit next to the chiminea's, but it was too large and heavy for what we were looking for. Bottom line, this store is a very poor example of what we have known Home Depot stores to be. The selection is awful and the store itself is in dire need of a complete reorganization and restocking of goods. read more

Misleading! Recently signed up for a bath remodel on 7/27/18 with Home Depot of which they referred Jim Bennett's Plumbing. After a week of no response I reached out to the contractor and they quickly scheduled me for an appointment that following Monday 8/6/18. The contractor showed up and after I introduced myself to him he ask me how am I paying. /So we went through the dialogue of what I wanted to happen with my bathroom remodels. He took measurements and we discussed once more what I wanted and he said he would get back to me with an estimate. He called me the Thursday 8/9/18 wanting to go through a last check list before sending me the invoice. So after confirming he gives me an estimate and asks if that is something in my price range and I replied yes. And right after he tells me I would need to pay for and pick up my own tile. I asked him well what is that estimate covering and he tells me that it is everything but the tile. I told him I was looking for a one-stop contractor that could handle all my needs. So he then tells me that he doesn't want to have to go pick up the tile and if $1 sq ft added to an invoice is all that I'm harping own then we don't need to do business. My reply to him was that's not our issue and with your rude comment you're right we shouldn't do business together but before I could finish he hung up! I immediately called Home Depot to file a complaint. After holding for 30 minutes I was finally able to make my complaint, give my contact information and given a liaison to get it expedited. On 8/13/18 the Regional for this area called Jason Adamo and stated how sorry he was for my experience. He stated he already talked to the Contractor and just weren't prepared for my sale. FIRST and foremost HOW HAVE YOU TALKED TO THE CONTRACTOR FIRST BEFORE TALKING TO THE PERSON MAKING THE COMPLAINT. My immediate thought was he is defending this contractor before he even knows what my complaint is. Here is when I knew everything on this call was rehearsed. Jason Adamo then goes on to tell me that that is not normal practice for the contractor and in the same breath tells me that Home Depot does not do simply remodels (paint, tile, vanity, mirror, toilet, light fixtures) they ONLY do complete remodels. I then replied that you're telling me that your Home Depot website is false advertising, where is stated in bold and I quote "SIMPLE REMODELS TO COMPLETE RENOVATIONS? He then tells me that I'm probably not going to hear what I want on this call and I told him "thank you" for your call and I appreciate you doing a follow up at. He was wrong that I wouldn't get to hear what I wanted on that call. I heard everything I needed to hear and that was to never use Home Depot for any remodeling services. People who work here REALLY seem to hate their jobs. I always see several customers wandering around, lost and ignored by the staff. There are plenty of people on duty, but you can only find them standing around talking to each other and ignoring customers. And they usually have this glum, broken-down expression that says "I'd rather be picking up roadkill than working here!" It's pretty creepy and grim, even by The Home Depot's usual standards. read more

Bad for delivery drivers. Receiving clerks see unloading freight as secondary job. No communication even on shift changes. Was told to come back next day. Arrived the next day at 5am as was told ....but then told not unloaded till 6am..then while getting unloaded forklift driver slow distracted. Should of taken 10 min but it was 30 min read more
