Pros: They have many items here that are significantly cheaper than Amazon We were looking for a bifold closet door and it was $114 vs $180 on Amazon Cons We got our door and we're waiting for an employee to help us check out. This was a blonde lady with a gray shirt near aisle 15/16 at a computer. She said that she would help us. However, after waiting more than 5 minutes, she made no attempt to do the transaction. We tried to go to the main checkout at the entrance but were told only this person could do it When we returned to her, my mom asked again and she flew off at the handle. She said we were just lollygagging and looking at our phones. (She was entering something at the computer so we didn't want to bother her initially) Then she said, "I don't have to deal with this attitude..I'm going on break) I'm sure it didn't help that we were two brown people daring to ask her. Who knows if she was a standard "Karen" or a Magatard Karen? We lugged the 80 inch tall door back to main checkout and another employee helped us and got us the $25 off for starting a HD credit card. Kudos to him. Before I forget, in 2019 we bought a refrigerator from them and it took 2 separate attempts to deliver it. Overall, if you are just getting an item and are knowledgeable about it it's fine. Don't go expecting help of any type. Treat it like Walmart. read more

I come here a lot. This time come at 7:45 am, it is empty and easy to walk around. They usually has front clerk to greet people and answer the question. But the morning, the still try to get to the station. No one greet you or tell you where the aisle you can find your item. I like the parking space in front of the shop. There are plenty of space to park including extra space for pick up at the front. I was here to pick up a few item for measuring devices. I got the 25 tape measure with special finger stopper. It has an ability to suspend 8 feet without breaking the tape. I also wheel measurements device allow longer distance measuring. At the electrical department I pick up couple items. The electrical test pen for voltage and the test pen for metal to see if high electricity was connected. Those are good device to have before working on the street light pole and ensure no electricity on the outward metal. Overall I still like it. Some time they goods are disorganized. Most of the time they are in good order. read more

I would advise anyone who is considering using this company to find someone else. We had Home Depot install our carpet and windows. The people they outsourced the job to install the carpet damaged our floorboards and the seams of the carpet are coming apart after only a couple of years and the windows they installed were not sealed properly. After the recent hurricane, we had water leak into the upstairs windows, down the inside of the walls, and damage the carpet and the drywall. An inspector come out after the hurricane and after just a few minutes found the problem. We thought the roof leaked and were completely surprised to find the brand new, year old windows are the problem. He says Home Depot did not seal the windows correctly. There are huge gaps between the windows and the stucco that were not filled with sealant and the sealant isn't even the correct type. He said it is the worse installation he has ever seen, but since Home Depot stands behind their workmanship, there should be no problem getting them to fix the obvious mistakes. That actually made me feel better about the situation, and truthfully, the reason we used Home Depot is we assumed they stood behind their workmanship. We called them and they finally got back to us on day seven, after their projected five to seven business day response time, and they told us "we" don't fix things damaged from a hurricane. We said it wasn't from the hurricane, the damage is from the faulty and poor workmanship of the installation. He also told me they he had been told to tell us this by his manager. I explained to him that Home Depot does stand by their workmanship and he offered to tell his manager to call me. That was 5 days ago and we are still waiting. This is not acceptable and I will not stop until Home Depot stands by their workmanship and fixes my windows. I spent over $18,000 on these things and I can't believe I even have to deal with this. Home Depot, call me, contact me, and get out here and fix my windows, and repair the damage caused to my carpet and drywall, or get out of the window installation business completely. All I am asking is for you to do the right thing. Again, I will never use the company to install anything again, as they do not back the work from their outsourced jobs. read more

I stopped by this Home Depot location with my husband today looking for a new air filter. My husband made a pit stop at the restroom, and I stood and read the news on my phone while I waited for him outside the restroom. A male staff member walked by and, with a very condescending tone, leaned down to match my height and asked, "do you need some help? You look a little lost." I replied that I was waiting for someone, and he looked me up and down as he walked by. Honestly, if he had just stopped at "do you need help," that would have been fine. However, since I'm extremely doubtful that standing outside the restroom with one's face in a phone is a typical behavior among those who find themselves somehow lost among the clearly labeled aisles of a standard-layout Home Depot, I think it's pretty reasonable to assume that he thought that I, as a small woman, must be overwhelmed and confused by such a big, masculine store. Did he think I was looking for directions around the interior of the store on my phone? Anyway, this staff member made shopping there an unpleasant experience. Staff should never talk down to customers, and I felt that in this moment he was assuming me to be inept for sexist reasons. I won't be patronizing this store location again. read more

As I look at the reviews for this store is appalling. This is one of the worst Home Depot stores in the Tampa area. This i not my first time having to write a negative review. In fact, severa years ago I went to the top - meaning I went to Corporate Office in Atlanta and they agreed with me on the issue I was having with the store. This store is full of incompetent and lying Supervisors. My wife (without my consent) bought a gas range (stove) from this store on 10/18/2023 which was to be delivered on 10/20/2023. Of course the delivery was not on time. One of the workers who drove the truck came into my home to attempt to loosen the nut attached to gas line. I could see he was haviing problems and becoming frustrated with not being able to loosen the nut. He pulled out his phone and called a woman who I'm guessing was his manager. She began to tell me that she would have to put in a request for a plumber to come out which would take up to 24 hours before he reached out to me...after that it would take another 2 to 3 days before he would be able to come out. Can you believe this.... I said to her that's too long for us to be without a stove. she replied, "that's the way it is." My wife have a home daycare and use the stove to prepare breakfast, lunch etc., for the kids. It simply amazes me how companies like Home Depot hire out third party companies to do work such as this with little or no experience. I look at this as maybe a blessing - due to the fact that the guy couldn't get the nut loose indicate he wasn't certified to be installing gas stoves. If he was certified there would be no need to call a plumber. I served in the Marine Corps for 28 years, a Vietnam Combat veteran with Purple Heart who believes in high standards. Home Depot like others are not concerned about the customer, only how much money thay can beat the consumer out of. I called on Saturday morning 10/21/2023 around 9am and asked to speak with a Supervisor; a gentleman introduced himself as John. I explained the situation to him about needing someone to at least come back out and turn the gas back on so we could use the top burners - the oven is what went out. He assured me that he would look into it and get back with me. I said to him please call me back so I know what my next move needed to be. Needless to say the liar didn't return my call. If my wife had consulted me we wouldn't be going through this mess. I told her before that I would never do business with Home Depot again after our last debacle with this Company. This delay has caused us significant inconvenience, and I hope Home Depot can provide a suitable resolution for not being able to complete what we "PAID FOR."!!! read more

The deal breaker are the employees. Here it is easier to get your questions answered. Most staff seem to actually know what they are talking about and are happy to help. I love The Home Depot. Omore times than not have a very pleasant experience, even having to buy a brand new refrigerator after mine died the night before. I had no problem waiting 4 days, living out of coolers and going to the grocery store daily for perishable items and ice, for the fridge to be delivered. Here is the problem. I was given a 4 hour window, fine. Was told I would be given 30 minutes notice to arrival, great. Even told they would wait 15 minutes, ok. Well, I was given 10 minutes notice, was on my way to pick up my son, no more than 10 minutes away, and they left within 15 minutes of entering the neighborhood. Now I get to wait 2 more days for delivery. My last appliance purchase from this store. read more

I come to this Home Depot weekly. The store is ok but doesn't have the selection of Lowe's down the street. I recently bought a dishwasher at the store. Service was good in store but the delivery and install experience was terrible. The guys who came claimed we needed longer connections and it was the store's fault for not asking. We called customer service and they blamed the delivery installers. So the installers left and said we would need to reschedule. We rescheduled first available and they ordered the connections. Spring forward several days with a broken dishwasher and a non installed functional dishwasher in my kitchen. The new installer showed up without any new connections even though we were charged. He took a look and said the first installers just didn't want to do the work. We had the right cables. Took him a less than 5 minutes to hook it up. We called back customer service. They could care less said they wouldn't charge us for the connections they didn't bring. Wow how generous of you. We weren't looking for any discounts just a sorry you had to spend multiple days rearranging your schedule waiting for a $120 install that should have been right the first day. I'm pretty sure everybody will match prices. I'll take my appliance shopping elsewhere. read more

I bought 2 kitchen appliances at home depot as well as installation. I was supposed to be given a 4 hr window for measurements but instead I got a call at my Dr office " we will be there in 20 minutes " so I had to leave my appointment off the exam table or not get measurements for a week! I told them no call was received with any time window and they explained " that is not what our paperwork said". Bad start gets worse. Once measured I was never contacted by installers or by home depot. My appliances are now $ 4000 door stops in my garage. I call one night and they say oh we will get back to you. Never happened. I call and the manager is looking at my order saying the wrong brand of the items I bought. If you get home depot installation you are on your own as THEY DONT care. Perhaps understaffed or underpaid is the root cause. What is going on?? read more

After coming in this place two days in a row, I received excellent customer service from Reggie and Shawn who assisted me in purchasing cabinets and looking for other stores in the area. I came in today, completely disappointed with the customer service. So upset, I'm sitting here in my car writing this. I purchased a tool box with the board today - almost 300lbs. One employee was trying to assist with helping me put in my car. He asked another employee who's name is "Absurd" would he mind helping... he said "no, y'all will just have to figure it out". Strangers helped before the workers helped. Completely disappointed with this place. Would've given it a one star had it not been for Reggie and Shawn providing excellent customer service the night before. If he couldn't help, at least go and get help. But to say those words, especially in front of customers- completely unacceptable. We literally live right next to Lowe's and decided to check out Home Depot since it's a little cheaper. Yeah , no. I purchased some speakers last weekend from a man down the street. I thought it would be a simple transition in my living room. What followed was a number of trips to hardware stores, including one to the Home Depot. Almost as soon as I entered the Home Depot I was approached by an employee who wanted to help. It wasn't one of those annoying how can I help like in a car dealership or one that lacked sincerity. I really felt she wanted to help. After leading us where we needed to go she stepped back and let us make our decision. We went to two other spots in the store and each time a different employee offered us their assistance. I got the sense that the employees really wanted to help. This made our visit a lot quicker. It also ensured that I didn't return home with the wrong item (as I've been known to do). read more

I live In Wesley Chapel Fl for over 20 years and was always stuck buying stuff here for several of my properties and lately their customer service is HORRIBLE. Long lines at the returns center and 5 cashiers that will not help you. I have never seen so many incompetent people at one Home Depot. This is a great location in New Tampa. They have great prices and wonderful customer service. I was looking for a replacement filter for my new home and found it no problem. They also offer a "Veteran Discount" when you show your military or veteran ID card. I received 10% off my total purchase. Not a bad deal! Shout out to Appliance manager CHRISTIAN!!! ***Long drawn out story alert**** Busy hair salon that REQUIRES clean towels to operate- after buying a washer/dryer combo the night before, we had it delivered and installed around 5pm Friday, of a holiday weekend. That evening, first wash, great! Throw the load in the dryer..... nothing but cold air! Same for second cycle. We checked connections, instructions and breakers. Nothing we can do. Call HD to let them know. The manager on duty tells me there should be a number to call for the install guys within the receipts. Said number cannot be found, so she says, 'let me see what I can do, I'll call you back in a little while'.... Nothing again. Next morning, Saturday, holiday weekend... did I mention busy hair salon?? Owner took ALL the towels home and washed and dried them the night before to ensure we had (hopefully!) all we need. I call HD again. This time, I'm holding. I'm not going to wait on a call back. Enter CHRISTIAN. I'll say this, I am never disrespectful to the poor guy or gal that ends up having to deal with my problem. I know that it is not this guys fault that our dryer isn't working. This is the first he's hearing of it, right? He listens to the details. I make it abundantly clear that I am frustrated and disappointed that, first, my dang new dryer is only blowing cold air, and second, there was no return call from the night before. At first he starts reiterating about the phone # I'm supposed to call. I stop him just to say, nope. I'm calling you. Your company sold it to me, your ppl installed it. I paid you to do it, I'm not chasing down the kid in the truck. There's a bit of back and forth about policy but ultimately, I believe CHRISTIAN just really cares. He wanted to help. Enough said. CHRISTIAN said to me, "Ma'am, if you give me a few minutes, I really want to make this right for you!" Awesome. I said, "CHRISTIAN, I appreciate all your efforts so far, and I have faith in you". I was on hold for a little while longer, but had to hang up to tend to customers. Within minutes, CHRISTIAN called ME back, said "Ma'am, I got the install guy coming back to you, he told me it'll be about 30 minutes. Please call me back if he's any later than 45 minutes". That dude was there within the 30 minutes. Also, anticipating everything, Christian also had them bring a back up unit, in case the cold dryer wasn't a quick fix. It wasn't. They had it on the truck, so they wheeled in the new unit, took away the (still new) old unit, all before 10am! Oh! And you want to know what else? CHRISTIAN had told me at some point that he was working until 3pm on Saturday and hoped he could resolve my problem before then. At about 2:30pm, I notice the receptionist is looking at me while talking to someone about the fact the delivery was successful. Yep, it was CHRISTIAN...calling me back AGAIN, to make sure he had a happy customer before leaving for the day. #CHRISTIANfortheWIN I sincerely hope that Home Depot appreciates employees like CHRISTIAN, who has made me and my company, a steadfast and loyal fan. **PS- My keyboard is not stuck. I'm using all caps on his name in the hopes that some of the GM's do indeed recognize this gentleman. Service like his can not be taught. Horrible store. Bought a John Deere zero turn mower spending $3200 online on HomeDepot.com. Go to Bruce B Downs to pick it up. First, they would not honor the 15% I was promised online. Worked out a finance plan and bought it anyways. Next, they can't find owner's manual or extra key. Then they make me wait in the hot sun out front waiting for someone to come assist me to load it on my trailer. Nobody comes, finally I go back inside to get someone. Nobody knows how to operate it, so I get no demonstration on how to operate it. They push it on my trailer, I get the machine home to discover that it has a dead battery. They never even check these machines out before you take it home. I wound up just returning it to another store. Even the girl at the other Home Depot I returned it to said that the Bruce B Downs location was a disaster. Ruined my whole day. Ended up buying a John Deere from Lowes and got much better service and a discounted price. read more

Fairly new automotive mechanic here, who transitioned from law enforcement into my new profession... I've always preferred to buy my tools from Home Depot, especially since becoming an auto technician. Well, I just left this location not too long ago. I noticed a deal online (buy a kit & get a free tool), so I decided to take advantage and pick up a newer Dewalt impact gun for work (which came with a drill and batteries). With this kit, I decided to choose the Dewalt blower as my free tool for home use, but I noticed the area for this blower was empty, so I looked around. I believe another Home Depot employee, possibly a contractor for Home Depot (who tried to sell me solar panels) noticed me and said she'd go get help for me. "Help" arrived and right off the bat, you could see the annoyance on this employee's face. He looked at me with an irk look on his face and said what "kit deal" (as I tried to explain what I needed), so I pointed directly at the sign. He storms over to the sign and I follow to see if he could help find this blower tool. I tried to again explain the deal and kit that I picked up, and he rudely replies, "I know what deal it is!". Now, he had a disdain look on his face, so I ask him if everything is alright and how his day was going, to which he relies, "peachy". He looks up the item and says there are extras in the leaf blower section in aisle 49, but offered no direction. I was going to ask him which direction should I head, and the employee who was trying to talk to me about the solar panel deal said she knew where it was and said she'd gladly walk me over there. I thanked the grumpy employee and advised him to have a better day. As me and the nice lady employee walked to the leaf blower section, she then admitted this Home Depot employee that she asked to help me was very rude and apologized for his behavior, while also saying how much she enjoyed me for calling out his rude behavior. I have no idea what his deal was, but it's a Monday and if he's feeling like that already, maybe he should seek another job. I came from a profession such as public service and was also a front line supervisor. Employees, such as the one I dealt with, leave a lasting impression on guests and I may simply tell all of my current coworkers where NOT to buy their tools for our line of work. I used to work for another law enforcement agency, just north of this location, but we are all very close. What a shame it is when I tell my former brothers and sisters that this Home Depot, which is trying to curb the prevalent retail thefts of their business, treats their customers in this fashion. Such is life, as I've said to many I've crossed paths with. Totally different experience I had, just yesterday, at the Home Depot in Zephyrhills. I picked up the half inch Dewalt impact gun which was in their deals section and that employee was OUTSTANDING! We had a great chat about tools & parts of our lives. I've never been inside of a Lowe's, but I can assure you that I will check them out now. DO BETTER, HOME DEPOT! Especially this location in New Tampa! read more

This will be a lengthy one. My husband chose a toolbox for our garage. Beautiful craftsmanship. We would have it delivered. We were told before delivery there was a small scratch on it so they took off $100. Great. We were happy with that v Then today comes 7am my husband gets a call saying the delivery driver will be here in 20 minutes. Not much of a heads up there buddy. Fast forward to them getting here. RUDEST drivers ever! My husband told them to back into our driveway up to the garage (it rained a lot last night and he wanted to make it easier on them) they proceeded to tell my husband they know what they're doing. Clearly not when you screwed up our yard. And THEN he proceeds to comment on how our property is a flood plane and this and that. What a a** seriously. They leave before we can even look at the unit. Then we see the unit (toolbox) is completely bent in on the side not just a scratch. $1300 this is getting returned. We are very unhappy with the customer service of this company and how we were treated. read more
