Well I went in on 05 May 2025 to order many things and it was all handled quickly and efficiently. I started out in Millworks with Storm Doors and Garage door opener, Paul helped me and explained the process completely with the measures they need to be done. I had the Grange Door installed on 08 May 2025 and the measures for the Storm doors done on 07 May 2025. So we are off to a quick start. I had to go back to the store on another occasions and dealt with Josh and things went smoothly also. Next went to appliances and order two refrigerators and Washer and dryer set, Alyssa was very helpful and patient with me. everything was quick to order and delivery was set up for a week later which was excellent being the furniture was also coming that day. Also bought other items and went up to the service desk and met Melissa who also was very helpful and professional. She checked me out and ended the process on a positive note. I was gonna give 2 stars but I'll keep the 4 stars. I ordered some things for curbside. When I got there and was checking in I put what spot I was in then the app said curbside was only available till 6pm and it just hit 6pm when it said that. I was getting ready to go in and pick up my order and the guy came out with my order. It was raining pretty good out and he was still nice about having to come out in the rain. I almost died today at the paint counter. The two genz employees were horrible, I'm not going to say their names, but ALBERT saved the day. Prior to his help, the Eyelashes couldn't find the paint, couldn't use the ladder after the paint was pointed out, went on break in the middle of making some paint. We of course were still there when she came back from break. Then helped someone else. The utter co-incompetence of the tiny zombie dude.. Is just..well...horrifying to say the least. Just on my last breath, ALBERT helped all the customers, practically all at once! I don't know why ALBERT isn't sitting on the board for Home Depot, or at the very least in charge of efficiency training and customer service training at this location. Anyways, I lived! Well stocked. Good prices. Great place. The reason for this poor review is that they have signs indicating that face masks are required. There is an employee at the entrance. People were entering without masks. I pointed to my mask and then to them and he responded with" we cannot make them wear masks" They are not wearing masks for themselves. Drove all the way into Temple because I heard they had a price match. Read their policy, states they only match on brick and mortar stores and not sales or clearance. No problem, what I want is a grill that is regularly priced. But its farther away than Temple is to me, but no big deal. HD price matches! WRONG!! I was told when I get there it doesnt matter what retailer it is, they will only price match Lowes. That's NOT what their store policy online says. Has anyone had a positive experience buying flooring from Home Depot? Well here is my experience: -Scheduled HD to come measure -Got text from HD to call customer service to give them the flooring product that I was interested in -CS couldn't find the product even though I had the model #, internet # and store sku #. Was told to wait until the tech came to measure -Tech came but had no way to look product up so he noted the info for the department that quotes the job -Received call from Lance, the person putting together my quote. He couldn't find the product either so suggested I go in to the store for assistance (side note, it is on the HD website and shows plenty in stock) -Went to the store yesterday and while waiting for help I looked at the special order section. Found a floor that I liked for $2.29/sq ft but was told that was an in store price but no longer in stock and now only available online (at $3.59 sq ft and plenty in stock!). Then I found another floor that I liked for $2.99 sq ft but same thing, only a store price but no longer in stock and now only available online (at $4.99 sq ft and plenty to ship)!! WHY HAVE PRICES IN STORE IF YOU CAN'T ORDER THOSE FLOORS FOR THAT PRICE BUT YOU CAN AT A MUCH HIGHER PRICE ONLINE?!! Now what? Every floor I picked has had an issue. Measuring department doesn't speak to the store, store doesn't speak to the online department...frustrating! Flooring Specialist, Theodore at HD Store 6863 was extremely helpful. He called the managers who were all in a meeting so he spoke with the assistant manager, Mike. After waiting for 30 minutes I had to leave for an appointment but Theodore said he would call me back with an answer from Mike. Used the home services at home depot, the Mill works dept did a great job helping me in setting up the door insert for my entryway. We used the company Zabitat. Shannon was great setting up my appointment, very informative and friendly. Jesse did an amazing job with the install! He was in and out in under an hour. We used our original door and had the insert ordered. It was less than ordering a new door with a decorative glass in it. Bought two Exide truck batteries at the Temple location. 40 month free replacement guarantee right on the battery. They failed at 30 months. Took them back and was rudely chastised by the customer service rep who told me HD did not guarantee anything that long. She did everything in her power to get me to walk away. Some would have, but not me. Initially told me they did not handle the product any more, but eventually relented by telling me to go back and get new batteries. I did and she said she was doing me a big favor... against company policy...just to meet the obligations of the warranty. Good lord, woman. Just do your job and quit bullying Home Depot customers. The Temple Home Depot is the WORST when it comes to customer service. There are plenty of orange aproned/orange polo-shirted people wandering around, but none of them ever asks if you need help. When you do manage to pin someone down at the customer service desk, they definitely don't want to help ... then they tell you it will be 20 minutes or more. We are building a fence around our entire backyard and have spent plenty of money here. It is so frustrating to deal with businesses today. Customers are such a bother to their daily routines. Stocking shelves, taking breaks, and looking busy are priority number one. Big box retailers have ruined the customer experience. read more

It makes me sad when I realize that most people that write reviews are upset at the location. Let me tell you, my electric lawnmower's battery, that I've had for 5 months started blinking that it was defective. I decided to see what they could do to help me. Customer Service asked if I had registered my purchase with the manufacturer, and I had not. They didn't even carry that last years model and had no replacement batteries for me. They would have been completely in their rights to send me away, but they called over the manager. The manager, Parrish was so kind to me and to my plight of needing to mow, that he searched until he found the right battery for me. You know what? It was even an upgrade to a newer battery that would fit my mower! I will always call this MY Home Depot. Thank you from a very satisfied customer! read more

I have tried to use this Home Depot because it is about 15 minutes closer for me than the ones in Georgetown and Killeen. However, this store is so badly managed I am going to stop using it. Every time I go there the building material area is always so full of random stuff on pallets you can't get to what you need. The items are not clearly marked. Now I will say the garden department is not that way. The keep things clean and organized for the most part. I have had trouble with that manager at customer service before when after I checked out I found that I was charged more for an item and walked over to get it fixed. I showed him the add and a pic of the shelf tag. And he then said "Well I will honor it but everybody just wants something for nothing. We are trying to run a business." I hate to be the one to tell you Sir, Home Depot is the one setting the price not me. So take it up with them. Now that brings me to my latest visit. On Saturday I went to the Temple store to get plywood and trim to make shelves. I took the plywood that they only sell in a 4x8 sheet to get it cut to fit in my car. After working through a maze of pallets an older carts to get to the saw. It took about 20 minutes to find someone to do the cut. The blade was so bad it blew the plywood out 2 inches on each side. I made a joke to the associate about it and he said the manager would not let them change the blade. Okay so I could live with that. But when I went to cut the trim for what I needed. Well let's just say the cutting station was not in the best of shape. Someone had put blocks at the cutting slot. Not sure how you are suppose to cut fine trim on that. Whoever did that has never cut a piece of wood. See picture. In passing I see an Assistant Manger. So I tell him about how bad of condition the lumber area is and with a laugh that the plywood cut looked like a Beaver chew. Immediately he flips me attitude saying that "they don't make precision cuts and that I should just break the trim off by hand." Then he goes on to say " Once we cut something you have to buy it." So like I said the associates are friendly and try to be helpful. But the management at this store I will no longer shop there. It is worth the extra drive to a good store. read more

absolutely the worst shopping experience I've ever had anywhere in my life. purchased a refrigerator on June 14. set delivery up for June 26. truck shows up and no refrigerator on truck. nobody fro Home Depot has contacted me. I e had to call and try and reschedule deliver. finally told by customer service rep that July 8 would be as soon as they could deliver. but, the dispatch from Waco is supposed to contact me to set it up. she hasn't contacted me so until she contacts me to set up delivery july 8 may not be an option anymore. it may end up being longer. none of the representatives care. no accountability whatsoever. they have definitely lost my business read more

This review is for the Temple location. We have lived here about 7 months now. We have always been dedicated Lowe's shoppers as HD did not offer military discounts. The Lowe's in Weatherford, TX where we used to frequent was awesome. After moving to a house down here and needing incidentals for repairs- we quickly found that HD here has superior service and comparable pricing. The staff is much more knowledgeable and friendly compared to the competitor. We now go much farther out of our way to shop here for our home improvement needs. So. For the first time I ever try to make an online purchase with the home depot in temple tx. It goes south. I search on the app fir a mower. Their website clearly stated they have 3 in stock and 4 for next day delivery . So I trust it and place the order with a cost of over $3,000. Not even a day in, they call me saying they only have 1 in stock and it has water damage. Everyone I had spoken to in this store has absolutely no idea when their next delivery is . Now there are other stores that have this item in stock but get this. Even though they are all home depots, they cannot transfer the order or pull the item from one store to fill and order in another. The only way is to cancel your order , wait up to a week for rhe refunds , and pray to the gods that the other stores website/stock is accurate . Horrible experience here. They are extremely understaffed! I was walking around for almost 20 minutes looking for salt for my water softener system and for a team member to ASK where I could find it and the first person I found had no clue where it was but items of telling me "I am unsure. Let me find someone else that might know" he sent me down the wrong aisle. I could tell when he answered that he was unsure but I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt. Rude workers. Acted inconvenienced because we needed assistance. Very unpleasant. Accused us of removing a product from its packaging because it had no barcode. We had to escort the employee to the bin we got the product from to show her none of them were in packaging and none had barcodes. This is our second bad experience with this store in as many weeks. Last visit we wanted a piece of cedar cut to length for a shelf and that employee acted as if we were inconveniencing him by asking for the cut. I am a tile contractor out of Waco, and called the night before for the avaliblity of a specific tile. After tile was found,we made the trip down to Temple the next morning. Once at the store, the tile was a different shade. I called the manger over, I explained the situation, and asked if she could give some kind of price break. Home Depot manager, April was very uptight and stubbornly refused any kind of discount for all the trouble . Won't be coming back, I would go to Killeen store instead. Thank God there is still friendly , warm hearted people in this world. After explaining the situation to the cashier, they applied a 10% discount. No thanks to the manager April. She is very stubborn, hardheaded, unfriendly, and has zero skill with dealing customer service. read more

It's always helpful to have he Home Depot app because you can find what you need immediately so this trip was easy and quick. Also this is literally the nicest staff I have even been around at a Home Depot. Usually it's really hard to find employees in the store in general but there was a good amount of employees willing to help. Also everyone of them asked if we needed help. Any time a person would pass us they would ask if we needed assistance. I think it was telling of their customer service. I would definitely come here again. During my last 3 visits, the personnel have gone out of their way to help me find things that I needed, even though they may not make business sense (less than $2 items). Interestingly, I wrote a review for this understaffed, rude and inconsistent store and it magically disappeared. I overheard a male staff member complaining about my DV plates when, for the first time ever, requested help to load some heavy items, of which I am not supposed to be doing. He had some derogatory remarks about "who deserves DV plates", knowing nothing about my many, many years of service. I tried calling the "manager" on multiple occasions and never got an answer. I wonder if there is one. Also, during COVID, there was no one wearing masks and no hand sanitizer anywhere in the store, and it is grossly understaffed. Ordered landscape material on a Tuesday afternoon; expected a delivery on Thursday...but no, could not be delivered until Saturday. Waited all day and at around 530p called the store six times before someone answered, then put me on hold for 20 mins. Called back three times again before someone answered and I asked for a Manager. Asked if my delivery was still on for today (receipt says until 8p); Manager told me the product was not in the back so she presumed it was on the truck for delivery and should be here by 8p. 30 minutes later I get a call from another store rep, that my order could not be delivered today because the driver called in sick; I asked if he called in sick why was I not notified at 9 this morning so I did not waste the whole day waiting...said he just found out; but the material could not be delivered until next Wednesday. I told him that was unacceptable and that I would only except the change if my delivery fee was reimbursed in full. He indicated he would take care of it...I have my doubts. Have always preferred HD...but the Temple store appears to be lacking in customer service. read more

Home Depot christmas tree/lights shopping experience: a really helpful young man sold me the tree. He was patient in opening a couple so I could see the shape. Went into store to get lights and pick up tree after. No one working in Christmas tree lights. Helped myself. One set of 300 was $5.88, the other $8.00. Too both to register and asked checker in garden center the difference in the two sets. She said, "I don't know anything about lights. This isn't my department. Whew. It's time for me to get off." Then when went to.pick up tree another older guy said, "I don't have a way to.tie it. That's a pretty big tre e." Although in past never has been a problem. I called sister to pick up. Then acting irritated he said, "can you move forward?" Whatever happened to customer service? No more trees at home depot for me! read more

This is by far my favorite place to shop. Its closer to the house and the staff is always friendly. Yesterday I bought about $4000 in flooring and everything went well. I found some damaged pieces and they exchanged them without a hassle. There are other hardware stores in the area, but will keep going to Home Depot. read more

Ordered new doors and was so excited for project. No one ever contacted me to let me know they were in and to set up appointment. I had to call them to find out they were in. Set up appt. day comes and 2 of the 3 are damaged and my special order was one of them. Had to wait another few weeks and got a phone call for me to come get it. Ummm no it's supposed to be delivered and installed. Wait and wait for phone call on appt and never received one. Had to call them back. Finally get appt. day comes and I get a phone call the door is damaged. At this point I just want refunded. Told no problem. They would process it or call me if I needed to bring card. Waited another week no refund. Call them and they say I need to come in. That they called and left VM. Ummm no ya didn't!! Still waiting for the pen to arrive so I can correct my front door. Probably won't get the call. Save your time and frustration and go to Lowe's. read more

This is a nice Home Depot and the staff is very friendly. Everytime I come here I'm always greeted at the door & by staff as I'm browsing the merchandise. It seems everyone in their respective departments are knowledgeable about their area. They have multiples of multiples & an abundance if supplies; good place for building supplies.
