Stopped into Lowes on the way home to pick up a few items from Garden, Plumbing and paint department. Wife found the pot and moss she needed for her planter. Also in paint found the tape we needed to finish off the Garage Door insulation installation. Went to plumbing to get a piece of black pipe and then have it cut. Associate was very helpful and arrived shortly after he was paged. He was able to cut the pipe to my dimensions. Even after calling to reserve a vehicle, ensure they HAVE THE KEYS! Active Duty Service Member here. Searched rental pick up trucks available from both Lowe's and Home Depot between Waco and Georgetown. The only one that had a vehicles available was Lowe's in Temple, being two trucks. While calling ahead to reserve one, I was told it's first come first serve and then informed the associate that I would be driving from Fort Hood/Cavazos. After driving a half an hour I was told that even though they have two vehicles the whereabouts of the keys are unknown. Complete waste of time. I guess it's my fault for not making sure they have accountability of their keys. read more

Two experiences: years back I fell in the garden center and ended up black and blue. No big deal--it's always wet there. Problem? Several employees walked by, saw me lying on my back in the concrete wet and filthy and nobody asked if I was ok or needed help. A vendor finally helped me up. Stopped shopping there for years. Typical 2025 experience: they closed off the aisle with my product. I asked them if i could have it. They denied they sold the product and refused to look. I'd given up and was leaving and somebody saw it and yelled back at me. That's a better than usual trip. read more

If I could put lower than 1 star I would. Where do I start? How about canceling my delivery of $7,000 worth of flooring because the delivery guys dropped it and damaged it?! Then was told they needed all day to assess damage and then redeliver the next day. I was called before 10am but they need all day to figure out what was damaged?? Requested morning delivery for next day since now I have to take another day off to be at house to receive delivery. Asked to be called back and given update that day, no call. I called and to get update and was put on hold then hung up on. They sent me delivery notice for next day and it was from 4:00-8:00pm! I called and spoke to assistant manager and I live an hour away from this store, two hours in traffic. Explained the delivery guy dragged the delivery on my drive way and several boxes of flooring was damaged plus some items on the pallet were also damaged. He said I could come in and exchange, why am I driving two hours to exchange items they damaged?? Terrible customer service. Here's some awesome pictures of how they packed the already damaged items and soon to be more damage items. Here's my suggestion, get training for delivery and packing guys on basic physics and weight distribution. Staff at Temple store can learn how to provide customer service and provide solutions especially when Lowes is responsible. Also how about calling back when you say you will, basic customer service 101. Spent over $17,000 at Lowe's in the past year, not any more, Home Depot is looking great for future purchases!! read more

Horrible curbside-not the first time I've had issues. I ordered at 12:22 & waited until 3 pm. I headed to Lowe's in hopes it would be ready. It wasn't. Prior to leaving, I called & they said it should be ready 4:30 PM. At this time no cars were using curbside. i understand Saturday being busy, but 4 hours to have the ordered processed and ready to pick up? Never have this problem with Home Depot. Went to Sam's Club & shopped & returned to Lowe's, still no one parked in curbside for pickup. Still no notification for pickup. So I went to the Garden center and boufmght about $75 worth of plants. I then, waited in a curbside parking spot from 3:55 PM to 4:35 PM. 2-3 customers park in Curbside slots but they went inside. I called & still not ready! the Curbside rep told me that there was still 2 orders still being processed ahead of me. I then proceeded to tell her that I would be cancel my order. Didnt seem to bother her, so I cancelled and left. The first time I had an issue was curbside as well. That time I did get the order is ready notification. Went to Lowe's, checked in with the app I waited 30 minutes (trying to be patient). no one can, no one checked on me. Then I finally called. Order brought out, it was wrong. Updating this review back up to 3 stars because after I left the Lowe's, I got a call from manager Paul saying he had found the item and was leaving it up near the door and that it would be free for me due to all the trouble. So I went back the next morning to get the item and of course nobody could find it and they didn't believe he said it would be free. But the manager on duty called Paul the manager at home and verified that he had indeed told me I could have it free. But they didn't verify where it was and so went about 30 minutes looking for it befor I gave up and went home. So yesterday I got a delivery of the item. I had gone in and ordered a delivery and then canceled it when I went ahead and paid for an alternative item which wasn't really the thing I wanted. Anyway I don't know If the item I got was the one I canceled or if Paul arranged for it to be delivered, but either way I got the item for free for my trouble - and considering it ate up hours of my life, I think that's nice. I hope Lowe's gets its act together. I assume they must be under-staffed or something. read more

Realistic summary of reviews after my experience yesterday. The 4-5 stars are folks going in that know they need one thing, they know where it's at and a sales associate just happened to walk by. If you have a problem, question they don't know or want to answer, you need actual help, I encourage you to use google, Home Depot, or call a professional building supply business. I'm a disabled veteran and have never met some so rude as D.S. Paul. He refused to provide his last name or employee ID (but other employees hate him because they told me his last name is Alto). I have never had so much help filing a complaint so he clearly doesn't even have the respect of his employees. What Paul didn't realize is that a dozen folks were on a group call on my phone and all are filing complaints through Lowe's Corporate. As a veteran, I strongly recommend taking your business else where. There are other options that truly understand and care about employees and customers, and not just put it in their slogan, ethics document, etc. Update 26May, went to Home Depot to get rest of supplies. Plenty of employees more than willing to ask how you're doing, what can they help with, and answer questions. They were super busy but still had time to say hello. In times when the mayor declared a disaster, you don't know what people are going through. A little understanding and compassion goes a long ways. Highly encourage veterans and community to go to Home Depot. You will thank me in the long run. read more

Went to checkout with some other items and there are no registers open. You cannot get a military discount out self checkout and the girl up there supervising all their non paid workers, said that it needs to be done at a different register! Recently, we wanted to change out some carpet in our home and used Lowe's for their flooring services. Gerald, a flooring specialist, was wonderful to deal with. Very pleasant and knowledgeable about his product. We made a last minute upgrade and Gerald was prompt and thorough getting everything lined up. His partner, Eric (who was transferring over from plumbing), was equally pleasant and answered all of our questions (even if he didn't have an answer immediately, he sought out the info for us). Eric walked thru the upgrade exchange and made sure all of the discounts applied appropriately. Less than one week later, we had our carpet installed. The installation was as good an experience as the ordering. The two men arrived arrived on time and were both pleasant and professional in their demeanor. Will not hesitate to use the Lowe's carpeting service again. Please note, we had also gotten a quote from Empire. In our opinion, Empire's product was an inferior grade than the Lowe's Stainmaster (both nylon and top-of-their-line for an apple to apples quote/comparison). Empire's nylon only offered a 10 year crush warranty and it was not recommended for stairs. However, Stainmaster has a 25 year crush warranty and can be used for stairs. Empire was also approximately $180, per room, more expensive than Lowe's. Update: less than 24 hours after the install, a seam became visible. Contacted Lowe's and they are sending an inspector out before a repair can be authorized. I thought my picture that I provided them would be sufficient to get a repair right away. So, this review will get modified. Yesterday, the Rug Doctor came for the inspection and was able to fix the seam on the spot. A new glue strip for the affected area and a bit of stretching the carpet - fixed to our satisfaction. I have lived in the area and shopped at Lowes for years but lately have been less than satisfied with the customer service. If it were only once I would shrug it off but for the last couple of years the customer service has really declined at this store. We bought a dishwasher and it took them a half an hour to get someone to assist us then we were met with a surly sales person with a very unhelpful attitude. There delivery service scheduled delivery and install and didn't show and lied about it. And was in today and was met with rude employees and an angry manager with an attitude. This is a shame as this use the be a place where the employees were not only helpful but also knowledgeable and polite. Worst customer service. On 6/10/2022 I purchased a refrigerator in store, when we got it installed it gave an error code, and would not cool down. Called the store the next day, and they scheduled a pickup of the refrigerator on 6/18. They picked it up. Since then they have NEVER refunded my credit card. I have now called 10 times to get this corrected. Each time it takes at least 20 minutes to talk to someone. In July 8th, one customer service supervisor said they had refunded my card. When the money did not show up on my card, I spoke with a store assistant manager. He blamed my credit card company saying that THEY denied the refund. My credit card company says a refund was never attempted. This store has lost my business. I am canceling my Lowes credit card, and I'll head over to McCoys or Home Depot. UPDATE - their latest tactic in "customer service" is to pick up the phone and set it down. That way they "answer" the phone, but leave you to sit there and listen to conversations with people they are helping in store. They have done this to me twice now. read more

Lowes has been my go-to home supplies store for quite a while now. But on Monday after spending $170+ I was accused by the cashier in the gardening center of stealing. I carry small bags in my purse to bypass plastic bags. I pulled out my tissue packet to pull out the bag. I gave it to her and put my tissue packet back in my purse, at that time very rudely she asked me what I had just put in my purse. I showed her. There were quite a few people in line, consequently I was very embarrassed. So you don't just have to put up with condescending the male workers there, now you have the rude cashiers too. I had a fence installed and Tod Philips the one that made the estimate, which ended up being $1,000 more. The contractor finally showed up after they didn't even know what day they were suppose to come and do the work. I texted Brazos Fence and told them they can't come on Monday because that's when the lumber was being delivered. They had to call Lowes and confirm what day, not good business to start with. Then the installer left trash all over the yard and left a saw blade in the grass. After he was done installing the fence on the second day, because took 2 days, he took all the extra, and I do mean extra supplies. I called and asked why he would take what doesn't belong to them and was told it would be returned. He turned it in a week later. I knew there was WAY more materials then what he ended up returning. He returned 3 bags of concrete, I know for a fact there were 9 extra bags. He also only returned 13 fence pickets, there were WAY more. We were not retuned any money for the supplies. The estimator Tod over estimated the supplies so much its unreal. I DO NOT recommend using the Temple, Texas Lowe's and if you do have something installed by them DO NOT let Tod do the estimate. Seems him and the Brazos Fence company have a little side hustle going to steal from people. Be sure and watch out for them. He has been turned in to corporate. read more

So, I ordered a $400 grill on March 18 with free assembly and free delivery on the 21st. I got a confirmation on the 20th for delivery on 21st. So, of course, no show on 21st. Had to cancel a family get together. Called corporate and the first guy told me the delivery was canceled but not why. 2nd person was great and found out it was canceled because they didn't assemble it. Also, it was rescheduled for April 4. I contacted the store on April 3 to confirm and found out that they weren't delivering on the 4th because of Easter. So not only does it apparently take 2 weeks to assemble, they'll schedule delivery on days they don't deliver. Had to cancel another get together because of that.Save your money and your anger and go literally anywhere else. No real offer of help from Lowes. Needed a storm door installed. The overall experience was neither very convenient, nor pleasant. Despite repeated instructions/corrections, they could not get my phone number right. John made me feel that I was asking too much when I requested a breakdown of my total cost over phone. Their technician/installer, Ray, was generally rude and condescending and took forever to install what was advertised as a DIY project. Installation was performed without attention to aesthetics and couple of areas were left with obvious asymmetry. Every time we go into this store we leave mad!! We find the item we need and there is no price. Or they are out of what we need. And don't know when it will be in. Today we needed plants. We found a whole table of them, again no price. We took the tag to the checkout and she couldn't find the price. The head cashier was so rude and said that was not their brand. THERE WAS A WHOLE TABLE OF THEM. Then he says well it's not in the computer. I told him the computer isn't always right. He then said he had done everything. I asked for the manager. He showed up and didn't have a clue. Finally someone from garden center came and proclaimed, "we have those". He went back and got the price. As usual, Lowe's has what I need, but tonight especially their great employees went above and beyond. Daniel Benitez (sp?) was working in the live plants area, watering. I asked for his help and he found us exactly what we were looking for, although I got the impression that his job was just plant care. He was helpful, courteous and professional. Then, at checkout, there were only self-check stands open, with just one clerk, named Pamela, working very hard to take care of us and two other customers who all needed checkout help at the same time. She was also helpful courteous and professional. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the store did not have enough people there to help customers efficiently. This is the absolute worst Lowes I have ever been in. Customer Service in every department is few and far between but that is not even my biggest complaint. The worst problem is their unavailability of carts for purchasing lumber. Almost every time I have been in this store all the lumber carts or flat carts have been filled up by employees and just a few are available to the customers. There may be some way out in the parking lot near the highway and another few that one or two lucky customers have wrangled, but in general there are at least 15 or more tied up by employees in the lumber department. I normally shop at Lowes in Cypress Texas, but since I moved to Temple I guess I will have to switch to Home Depot until the managers at this store get on the ball and start managing their store. read more

This past 3 weeks have been a complete nightmare... awful awful service , I can't believe how many want to be the chiefs in the store , instead of staying back and be the Indian , wait back and do what you are hired for.. It took 4 people to ring me out and they still got it wrong ... my Lowe's acct got closed , after it got swiped too many times.. I ended up paying w another card I was only using for contractor . Got their at 8:45am to pick up items I ordered on line left their at 11:20... so my card Lowe's that was used to buy on line.. didn't work in the store.. ( yes dud it has credit on it) .. awful checkout!!! Let's go back 3 weeks ... trying to order tile with someone (salesperson ) that would just ignore you in the tile department !!! We laid tile down to match on floor.. walked up and down to see other items etc.. no one stopped!! So we took tile and found someone George and other co worker in plumbing to help us.. they both went out of their way to help.. ordered it .. payed for it and left... I give them 5 thumbs up. The guy working with Amy ( online ordered) was no help.. had to yell at him to do things ( was more concerned about black daschaune dog that come in the store.. going over to washer dryer area!!!
