I'm not usually a fan of The Home Depot, and this location does not change my mind. I have been in the store a few times, and it feels as though may be a little smaller than other cities. The Tulare HD usually has what I need, however, employee assistance is minimal and not the most friendly or knowledgeable. If you know what you need and require no assistance, then this is HD is your jam. I know that many Home Depot stores have tool rental departments, which is great for those household jobs that require a one-time use of a tool. I called this location one evening and asked for Tool Rentals and the employee who answered the phone was unsure. He did not know what a tool rental department is, and did not want to take the time to ask. FYI...tool rentals are available in Visalia. read more

I recently visited the store using crutches to find an electric shopping cart, but unfortunately, both available ones were not working. I approached the customer service desk, where the cashier, S******, acknowledged the issue but refused to check for other electric carts at the other entrance or in the parking lot. An assistant manager was present but did not intervene. As a result, I had to push a regular shopping cart across the store, which was painful and difficult after my knee surgery. Despite being a loyal customer who has spent a great deal at this store, the lack of assistance and declining customer service are making me reconsider my future visits, possibly opting for Visalia or Lowe's instead. Customer service for the most part is totally lacking at this location. There are a few "unicorns" who are amazing, but rarely do they even acknowledge me when I enter the store, or ask for help when I'm obviously temporarily disabled. read more

Normally, I visit the guys in blue when I want to be helped by courteous knowledgeable people. Unfortunately I took a chance with orange again this evening and as usual they disappointed. Javier is a fine example of why we normally choose blue. (Lowe's). And here's our story. We came in for a replacement tub spout. Found it, but unfortunately Javier and his cart of go backs or whatever was in between us and our treasure. He was talking on the phone to someone. No biggie right. Wrong. I said excuse me, was ignored. My wife said excuse me, again ignored. (Did this guy even have a father? And if he did did you raise him in the gutter?) So we proceeded to move his cart out of the way, retrieve our item, and exited the store to pay for it. Again vowing blue is always greater than orange! I went to your store this am to pick up approx. $300.00 worth of redwood. The service was unacceptable. After loading part of my order on a cart I was trapped in the isle for a half hour by safety gates and pallets of materials. What burns me is the forklift driver saw me and made no attempt to get me loose. After moving materials I was able to make my way back to the front of the store. There I told another employee that I needed redwood 10' posts bought down so I could load. I went to that area and waited, and waited and waited. Several employees walk by either talking on phone or yacking with other employees. Another 1/2 an hour had passed without anyone asking if they could help. Lowes is just down the street. Home Depot trashed my credit and will do nothing. But give me the run around to get it off my record. Home Depot opens an account in my name. They did not verify any of the information. "It was Fraud". The thief got away with over $2K in merchandise. This is the second time that this has happened at Home Depot. The last time was the same runaround. It took me months to get it removed from my record. Because they did not do their research. Now there stating that they have 90 days to review my case. They screwed it up and per their procedures, they get to screw my credit up even longer. They reported false information to the credit bureaus. It was never me at the first. I was in the middle of purchasing a home. This dropped my credit score by over 100 points. And Home Depot is not going to do anything until THEY get around to it. Absolutely the worst experience ever. I made a large appliance purchase in cash and cancelled it the next morning. It created a 3 day battle with unreturned calls and no follow up by multiple people. When we finally resolved everything I was told I would receive my refund in 21 days. I think I will take my business to Lowe's from now on. read more

Currently now home depot is now the problem they are trying to force us to sign a letter to give up all rights to go after them or the contractor for any damages or liability with our flooring. We were told by their liability department, store manager Justin, and district manager Michelle if we don't sign this document they will not fix our floor even though it's under warranty and a private inspector they hired said the material was defective and the workmanship was done incorrectly. California law holds the contractor responsible for a minimum of one year warranty besides the material warranty. Forcing someone to give up all rights to fix something that is under warranty and was deemed defective is completely wrong this will not be the end of this. read more

Worth's place ever to purchase on line. I bough a fridge at this dam place Home Depot and when we got the Samsung fridge it had a dent. Call Home Depot to report the issue and they said call Samsung they are responsible for any issue I was like really how the heck is that when I make the purchase from Home Depot any ways I came to the store and return it and there fucken return policies are insane. I pay $1,200 and because I return it to the store they took off the 15% off of what I pay so I got back half of what I pay. So they keep $200 never buy nothing from Home Depot on line either read the policies first because the are a damn scam. read more

15 minutes before 9, when they are supposed to close, they are having forklifts block off all the entrances with lumber. There was many people driving up and walking up trying to get in. I will go to Lowe's from now on, and others I talked to there were agreeing with me. I'm sure corporate can check the camera footage to verify that this is true. You can clearly see in the picture I posted, that customers are still inside the building, and in my side mirror of my car, you can see customers outside, looking into the store, wondering why all entrances are blocked off before the official closing time. You can also see employees inside the store just standing there looking at all of us potential buyers standing outside confused. I was with my dad and husband. Two strong personalities in different ways (and perfect little moi) but darling Kiki was so patient with us. My husband got upset that they don't keep refrigerators in the warehouse so we couldn't get it delivered today. Not Kiki's fault but she politely let him vent and then she would try speaking again. Many times she would be cut off from speaking and she didn't get upset she just stopped talking and waited for them to speak and then she would pick up where she'd left off before being interrupted. I was truly amazed at her patience. Most people get annoyed or defensive by what was being said but she never changed her attitude. Amazing woman. We need more like her in retail service she's old school excellent customer service. read more

I only bought one item on my trip but not owning a truck, I needed help with getting the item on my car to get it to my wife's work site. Finding what I needed was simple for me. Their loading staff was a great help getting the item on my car. I only gave a 4 star because they did give the noncommittal response most companies tell employees to give when you do anything they don't want to have liability for, but once I said I was going to do it no matter what, they assisted professionally and got it secured good enough to get it to it's destination. read more

My wife and I had to make a trip from Bakersfield to the Home Depot Tulare store to buy some material that was not available at any of the stores in Bakersfield. We arrived in the garden section of the store and immediately, Michael Fox came to our assistance, found the material that we needed, loaded the bags on to a cart and into our car. Took 10 mins to find an employee, it wasn't their dept so they told us to wait and they'll find the right person and send them over.
