We got an estimate for carpet and tile. We had to go back to choose colors. We went 3 days to n a row and the lady that was supposed to help us wasn't there. The first time, they told us she was in a class but would be there the next day, but she wasn't. The second day, she called us and said she'd definitely be there the next day. That is today. She wasn't there. We've wasted 3 trips and have lost our confidence in Home Depot and will look at other options. read more

Had a good meeting with a flooring person who seemed quite knowledgeable but have been back 3 times with co-decision maker with hopes of closing the deal. The customer service is great but the service/delivery was poor and never happened. I placed an order for delivery next day (between 6 am and 8 pm) - didn't happen. Delivery was pushed to today 12/30 (between 6 am and 8 pm) - didnt happen. Customer service was nice and explained they checked and it would deliver today. They were nice when I reached back out to cancel. Apparently they didn't need my business or just didn't want to deliver. That's the last time. I would rather pay a little more at Lowe's and actually get it. read more

I rented a 14 ft ladder and was never informed of the additional charges. I'm guessing the associates are graded and pressured to sale protection plans; I rented a ladder, who in the right mind would purchase a protection plan for a ladder? I will never leave a bad survey or comment if the parties involved did not intentionally try to get one over on me. Unfortunately associate RXL1849 is poorly trained, and got caught trying to "pat his stats". Whoever is reviewing the surveys will question the supervisor and associates involved, but of course they will deny any knowledge and wrong doing and this incident will be swept under the rug to be never heard of again. I'am going to post this message on every social media site to inform the public of how Home Depot is training their associates. This is absolutely absurd and I feel taken advantage of. Typically I get very aggregated at the lack of advertised items. I recently had an experience with the Home Depot store on 71st street in Tulsa. I had bought an Electric Mower last year. It started having issues, I contacted the manufacturer, they were agreeable enough. The problem began when the company that was to do the warranty work failed to communicate with me for the repair. After dealing with the manufacturer & attempted communication with the warranty center four days, I gave up. I contacted Management at Home Depot & was taken care of with full satisfaction. I was also impressed on another visit at that same store. There was an obvious shortage of cashiers. The store manager opened up a register and checked people out. Not only that he was very personable. My interaction with the employees there have been 100%. Remember people, they don't build the product, they can only sell what is delivered. Last week, we had a very bad experience with The Home Depot. Our privacy fence was broken due to a storm. My husband went to your store to buy woods, but rental truck was not available so he paid for what he chose and told a guy there he will come back the next day to pick up. The next day when he came, all his woods gone and that guy and another lady at customer service acted like they don't know anything and they are not responsible for it. Pros: I only come when I'm inspired by Pinterest ideas. The one that brought me here today is reupholstering chairs. The helpful elderly gentlemen who assisted me had never done it before; but between the two of them, they figured out what I would need. In and out in 8 minutes. Cons: the first guy I cornered (a young one), had no clue where anything was. I needed a staple gun, extra long staples, tack hammer, tacks. Not that complicated? I now remember why I dont shop at Homedepot. Most of the associates are rude. This was the first and last time I buy anything from this location. I went there because the online site showed they had this special size trash can. So I went to the store to purchase it, I have been all over Amazon and online looking for this very specific size. So after walking the store, we came across two older associates talking about personal things. I stopped near them to ask where the trash cans are located. They seemed annoyed that I would asked them for assistance. One turned without looking at me and pointed back down the direction I had come said if u go through the second set of doors you have gone too far. Then turned back to their conversation. After not finding it, I went to customer service to see if it was at a different store or have them order it online. I wasnt driving all over the place and it not be there. I wanted while the CSR helped the lady in front of me. She was super patience with her and explaining things. As I waited for CSR to finish with the lady in front of me, another person walked up to the counter on the returns side. When it was my turn, the CSR asked what I needed. I explained and then she stated, well let me help them first. The person who was on the return side how had just walked up. That was it...I told her no, I was here first and I had been waiting. And that she could help them after me. She rolled her eyes and was rude the entire transaction. I had some other in my hands and went to the self check-out. The young lady overseeing that area was actually very nice and polite. She asked if I needed help checking out. I told her no thank you, but that she has been the nicest person in the store. And she should probably be working customer service because the girl over there was so rude and nasty. Will not be going to this location. read more

Went into store to find info re purchasing/installation of a whole house generator. Was referred to a guy who said they had a "specialist" who would call me to set an appointment. All he needed was my name, telephone, and address. Then he started asking other personal questions such as birthday, income, etc. I refused to give him any more info. They have never called me. We have bought all of our appliances though Hahn Appliances. They KNOW how to take care of their customers. **We attempted to by our dishwasher through Home Depot of 71St and 169 this time only because Hahn didn't have what we were looking for at the time. That was a huge mistake. We ordered the dishwasher and they came out to deliver it. The installers told us that they could not do it because we had copper pipes. We told them the installers that we would have a plumber come fix the issue and asked them to hook up what they can. We were told they couldn't do it. My husband called the store and talked to the manager and the manager approved them to do what we asked. The installers got upset that we went over there heads to get approval for this and decided to take the dishwasher and leave. My husband then went to Home Depot to talk to the manager and explain what happened and to get them to bring the dishwasher back to our house to install what they could on it. They couldn't get the installers back to the house, we didn't get the call back from the store to get it resolved like we were promised. This all took place on a Saturday morning. We called the store manager on Sunday to ask about the issue and we were told the dishwasher was sent back to Dallas. They offer $300 off for the inconvenience but told us it would be 2 weeks before they could get it installed. On Monday we called to talk to the manager yet again because we felt that there was no way they had sent the dishwasher back to Dallas already. We were told Monday that the dishwasher was not in stock and they didn't know when it would be back in stock. We called a plumber and he came to the house the next day, Tuesday and come to find out the installers could have installed the dishwasher. We had the part already on the copper pipe. The plumber said we have everything correct everything that could be done has already been done. I called Hahn and asked if the dishwasher was in stock and THANK YOU HAHN for having it in stock. I will never again try to purchase my appliances from anyone else. I have learned my lesson. I have also learned that HOME DEPOT is NOT the place to buy APPLIANCES from. My parents have also learned that HOME DEPOT is NOT the place to buy and have installed kitchen cabinets from. And YES it's the same store. read more

I shop Home Depot several times a week. The Midtown store has the best crew I have dealt with. 71st store you can never get help. I wanted to purchase a few hundred dollars worth of blinds. Unfortunately I had to go to the 71st location for blinds. I asked the lady to cut them at 61.5. She said no you need 61 1/4. I said no mam. She said yes you do. I told her I have over 100 apartments, and I know what I need. Needless to say I said thank you and walked out. read more

I generally do not go to Home Depot for a purchase unless it's a specialty item. From my experience the Home Depot Oklahoma locations are generally not friendly nor helpful and act like they don't care if they get your business or not. A customer shouldn't have to flag someone down to get assistance, the employee should be approaching the customer asking if they need assistance, especially when there are more employees than customers in the store. That's called customer service. This store has improved significantly. For the first time I was asked at least three times if I needed help with anything. That makes me want to return to a store and spend a lot of money there instead of with the competitor. Who wants to go spend their money in a place where some drone emmployee walks right by and doesn't want to speak to anyone. Sorry, but that's customer service and that's part of your job. I am usually in a home improvement store because I'm needing to get a project done, not to window shop. If I need to chase people down to get help then I will go elsewhere. Hopefully the other area Home Depots can take some advise from the management at this location and follow suit. read more

Since moving to the area we have come to this Home Depot a few times and the employees at the front are very short and rude with the customers. This last visit we went to the garden center and the entire time we were checking out, the employee was on her cell phone and not paying attention to what she was doing. The time prior we needed to exchange a tool and the return employee snatched the product from us, was very huffy about everything, and the lady beside her was basically yelling at the customer she was helping. We are currently renovating our kitchen and we find ourselves in Home Depot almost every day. They are so nice and helpful here! We purchased our granite counter tops from this store. Deborah, the lady who works in the granite department is knowledgeable and very friendly! Our countertops are BEAUTIFUL! After you order them, they send someone out to take measurements. Then, when they are ready in around 3 weeks, they send them out with an installation crew. It was easy and the product is fabu. Bill in the paint department has also been very helpful! Obviously, we are picking up little things all the time for our renovation and we've just been so pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the people who work there. In the past month I have made at least a dozen trips to Home Depot to purchase building materials for a playhouse I am building. Every single time I go there, employees have helped me load my cart and also load my truck. I can always find what I need there and if I can't find it, the employees have always located what I need for me. They have even given me tips on how to do my project. I ordered flooring on Feb 2 for store pickup on Feb 12 (after reading the horror stories about damage with home delivery I insisted on store pickup). On Feb 12 it had not arrived; three days later still no sign of it. Apparently it has been sitting in a warehouse in Dallas since Feb 10 and they have NO IDEA when it will ever get sent out! Customer Support told me that they have LOTS of complaints about items sitting in the regional warehouse and not getting delivered, and no explanations. So do NOT order from Home Depot if you have any kind of deadline or expectation - it will probably be WEEKS late. read more

The cashier separated all of my items into separate bags and didn't hand me all of the bags. I live 30 minutes away from this store (I just happen to be in the area at the moment). When I got home, I realized I didn't have all of my items. I called the store to ask if they would allow me to pick up the items from another store closer to my house. They said they could only hold my items for me and I would have to make the 1 hour round trip drive to pick up my item. Great Job Home Depot. read more

This store has a manager (Ryan Mason) who is one of the best out of all the home depots in town. His employees in the paint, hardware dept., Pro, and tool rental are some if the best around. This store also has a full time hilti rep (Bill) as well as the best dept. Head in the area for hardware. If (Buck) still works for them he is the best in town on anything you may need to know....! We were renovating out kitchen and needed new cabinets. Home Depot had good prices for them and we were told that it would take a month for them to be made. This was fine. A little less that a month later the new cabinets were delivered, taking up the majority of the space in our garage (~37 boxes). When it came time to install the cabinets, we found out that the new cabinets were the wrong color. Now we have to wait for another month for new cabinets to be made and that is more time without a kitchen. Another issue that we had was how long it took for Home Depot to pick the cabinets up. It took 2 weeks and a many phone calls/visits to Home Depot for that to happen, in the mean time, appliances we ordered could not be delivered since our garage was full. When some people from Home Depot did get around to picking up the cabinets, they did not even bother notifying anyone that they have arrived. They didn't give us a call, ring the doorbell or knock on our door. We had kept out garage door open since the wood flooring for our living room was in there and the workers doing the renovation needed access to it. Everyone (including the 3 workers) was inside when heard some commotion coming from our garage. Thinking that there might be a thief rummaging through our garage, we found out that it was just the Home Depot pick up guys. They were already over half way through packing. It would have been really confusing if we did not catch them and find out that our garage had been cleared out. I was a bit angry at this point, since they didn't bother telling us that they arrived and how someone can mistaken them for thieves by doing that, but I only got a reply of "I don't know how you do it in your culture, but in America, if something needs to be done, you take it." read more
