Thing is...places like these are being run out of business but they do often carry things the huge retailers do not. It's nice to know you still have a choice in where you shop and it's nice to not have to walk a 1/4 mile to get into the front door and not have to walk past the $1000 Propane Grills and $3500 Riding Mowers to find the plumbing part you need or a light bulb or whatever you are in need of. As far as the folks who work there are concerned....if you are there to make chit chat or have someone cheer you up....maybe you should go stand in Home Depot or Lowe's wait lines and talk to the folks there that can barely make change. Not only are they awful anymore....it's so bad that Lowes and HD know it as they now have automated checkout where you don't even need an actual Human Being to check you out. Talk about depressing.

Checkout was friendly, fast and easy. Today I went into the same store and couldn't find what I was looking for. I walked the entire store looking for an employee that would help me find it but I did not see a single employee anywhere! Even yelled into the back room but no reply. I did buy something else and went to checkout. There was only one clerk and she was struggling to checkout the couple in front of me. It took her about 5 minutes to get it right with them, although they only had 3 items. I won't be back to that store unless it is the only one left in Tulsa area.

We get there & get approx 150lbs of Hills, but when we get to checkout, they acted like they never heard of this deal. They had to call several people over to discuss this including the manager who said there was no special. Showed him the text & he said it was only the weight reducing ones applied (nothin in the text or ad says that) after much debate & a line full of people later. I got a $5 mail in rebate. After installing them on Sunday May 2nd around 3:15 I successfully inflated 3 of the 4 tires. The 4th tire was defective. It was something as simple as a pinched tube. I went to the Broken Arrow, OK location because it is closer to my house. I brought the complete defective tire/caster with me for just a simple exchange for one in working condition. The clerk called over a woman by the name of Lisa. Lisa informed me that all returns and exchanges required a receipt. I asked her if she could just call the other location to verify the purchase, rather than forcing me to drive 23 miles and about 30 minutes of my time for proof that I did in fact purchase a defective product. She told me that "they" are told from "high up" to enforce this policy of yours. She further explained to me that if she accepted this exchange she would be "written up". So I drove the distance for a receipt, then drove to my residence and then back to the location to make a full refund of all 4 tires. If I am going to be treated like this, I do not want you to have my business. When I did drive all the way back to Owasso, Jeanie was deeply apologetic for my inconvenience of dealing with this because I was sold a defective product and that I was being treated this way. On my return visit to the Broken Arrow location Marie just glanced at the receipt and promptly gave me a full refund. She offered the receipt back to me, but I had already made a copy for my records. Total cost of your pneumatic tires: $97.98 Miles driven: 50 Time wasted from being turned down for an exchange: 2.5 hours Savings from purchasing 10" pneumatic casters from a competitor: $29.82 And if I did get a defective product, I can just simply show my emailed receipt.

I called Lowes where i bought it and they said their return policy was 30 days from purchase. I was over by 30 days. and said to take it to an authorized dealer and they will fix it. I called their list they sent me and the only ones who would honor the warranty was in Joplin, Mo. OKC.OK. and Van Buren Ar. So i called Craftsman corporate they told me the same thing. So I have a 3 year extended warranty policy that i cannot use unless i load up my mower in a truck and drive it 3 hours in any direction and then turn around and drive another 3 hours round trip to pick it up. I would think that Lowes would be more helpful toward their customers. but their not. I would advise people not to buy their mowers or at least Craftsman.
