I typically go to Home Depot to buy lumber for projects. Today 4/3/26 I was looking to buy 4x4 12ft treated lumber. I asked one of the lumber personnel to help me. I asked if they had more lumber because there was the last lumber that no one wants. Gentlemen said he'll ask his super. His super came down And said he'll give me 70% off junk lumber that no one wants. I asked if he can get a new stack down. I needed a few. He replied with a NO because he needs to only have a few on the rack before he can bring any Down. I didn't catch his name, but he's a younger guy that wears glasses. Disappointed!!! on 1/29/26 around 8:50pm I went to Home Depot to return some items with my receipt and this lady name is EVA was really rude and unprofessional with a really bad attitude that I was almost going to ask for my items back to come back another day. It is true that we have had problems with Home Depot in the past. However, this experience completely exceeded all of our expectations. We went to Lowe's first and were not impressed with their HDIS services. Reluctantly, we decided to give Home Depot another chance. Now we are glad that we did. A lot of this credit goes to Joseph Zarate. There were many others involved, but he really stands out. First we meet with Charlene in the store. Unfortunately, I don't remember her last name. She was knowledgeable and very friendly. She told us exactly what to expect and set up an in home appointment for us with Joseph Zarate. He came on time and was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us. He told us right from the start that there would be a wait of 12 weeks to begin the work and that it would take approximately two weeks to complete. This is definitely truthful information that we completely appreciate. We would rather someone be honest with the wait time than give us a line just to close a sale. Since we were ok with that, Joseph inspected our cabinet boxes and countertops to see what we were up against. Thankfully, our cabinet boxes were in great shape so we were candidates for cabinet refacing. We had been told by a plumber from Home Depot that a sink that we had purchased from them could not be installed because our countertops had been incorrectly cut by the flipper that we purchased our home from. Joseph inspected the countertops and confirmed this to be the case. Once all that was established, the choosing began. It was hard to believe all the choices that were patiently presented to us. In fact, we changed our mines so many times that it was ridiculous. Joseph even met with us at two different times at two different locations so that we could rethink our choices. Now that is service! The work began as promised, twelve weeks later. While the wait time was long we could understand that it takes that amount of time to set up all the professionals that it takes to do a kitchen remodel. All of them went above and beyond to make sure that we were completely happy with the results. While a kitchen remodel is an expensive endeavor, we know that Home Depot HDIS is a great value for the money. I am glad to report that my husband and I are absolutely delighted with what has resulted in the kitchen of our dreams! read more

Recently washer needs service and have contacted Home Depot who have provided requested details by Allstate claim. They are requesting all types of details including pictures of machine serial numbers and videos. It's taking too much time, feel like they don't want to honor warranty and acting like I'm trying to scam. The cloths washer in question works but obviously needs service. We're fortunate because it's working but if not we would have been without cloths for a significant period of time. I realize home service is pricey but wouldn't recommend warranty. For example, yesterday I went in to find lumber for another job and Charlie in customer service helped me set up my Pro Account to organize all my receipts and track them without having to keep them myself. The plants in the garden department are lovely with plants at bloom and almost bloom you are sure to find color for the yard for last minute party decorations or plants getting ready to bloom which will allow the plant to establish and then bloom for your wedding or event. Bought a new sink and garbage disposal on Saturday of last week. My husband also got some silicon and putty. Paid almost $800 in cash. Didn't use the putty and silicon so we took it back, couldn't find the receipt but figured we could just get store credit. We have NEVER returned ANYTHING to Home Depot and what we were returning couldn't have been even $20! They declined both of our id's with zero explanation!! If you're looking for power tools , hand tools this is your spot. If you actually need someone to open the gate for you good luck hope your have 30min plus and patience, asked 3 different times to have some one unlock it , got attitude like I'm bothering them and not actually sure if they placed the call to have tool prison unlocked. I remedied the issue by going 1.5 blocks over to Lowe's. Paid 10 dollars less and didn't have to beg to have the tool unlocked. I purchased a 20cubic ft upright freezer it was delivered dented so I refused it and waited a week for a new one. Guess what also dented. Waited a third week and yep you guessed it dented in the back but missing paint at the top of the door. I decided to keep this one the delivery company did give me a 25% discount and the dent I guess isn't that bad but it's just the point. 3 units dented and you wonder why things cost so much because they have to discount the other units as well. Went to Home Depot for sprinklers. When we entered through lumber the employee was in her phone and did not even look up at us. Then we could not find an item and asked a young guy for help. He gave us 4 possible rows to look at. When I asked if someone could help us actually find it, he stated that the one guy that could help us was on break and was going to do something else so it would be 20 min. After that I looked on line and it told us the row and bin of my item. Not sure why no employee could do the same! Horrible service today. Since I was there I stayed. We had the worst experience ever purchasing appliances from Home Depot. We spent over $5,000 buying all new appliances and they came damaged and did not fit some spots (our fault) but the people delivering did not tell us we had to reject the product to get it returned that day. Long story short, we ended up returning everything and buying from Lowe's instead. Do not buy Samsung appliances they are terrible! Also Home Depot has terrible customer service. Just a little recommendation, If the packaging to your blinds have rips where the forklift lifted them don't just tape them up. Chances are they are damaged just like the ones we bought. Returned them just to realize all the rest were damaged in the same spots. All of them had been taped up in the same spots. read more

So I've been trying to get a quote on windows. I've gone to the store (1st time: waited 1hr for help in the window counter, 2nd time: got helped by someone who said that wasn't her department). I'm not handy. I know how to use the odd tool or two, but I'm not comfortable when it comes to the knowledge behind everything. What wood should I use? Which type of screw? And so on. For a person like me, having someone give you assistance at a hardware store is invaluable. The problem with this Home Depot location is there's rarely any staff members around to help. When you do see someone, they're almost always helping someone else, and that can take a while. Is this a problem with all Home Depot locations? I have no idea but it's definitely an issue here. This can easily be solved with more knowledgeable staff and for a national chain, I would expect it. Prices, stock and selection are all great. I have a love hate relationship with this place, I love that they have a very large select of products. I hate that at times its nearly impossible to get an actual clerk, they try to force you to use their self check-out. Also it's very unlikely you'll find anyone there that actually knows much about the products they sell. Additionally I canceled my Home Depot credit card after receiving several letters from their credit department containing threatening language saying they would lower my credit limit if I didn't use my card more often. Came here a few different times for things needing assistance (carpet cutting, wood cutting, etc.) Store seems extremely understaffed. Never anyone available and if you ask an associate for help they advise they'll call someone however never do. Recently we went on a Sunday around 3. Looking to have a piece of wood cut in half. Asked an associate for help and was advised they call someone. 20 min later we are still waiting. Walked down the middle of the store several times until I found an associate. Unfortunately this associate could not cut wood but was nice enough to help find someone. We did wait about 15 min more and turns out only one employee was able to cut wood and he was on lunch at the time. Went in to this location to purchase a small refrigerator. There was an out of box magic chef that had been returned by a customer. The associate said she could mark it down to $199.00 because it had scratches and dents. Once she brought it to the front she then said that she could only take $50 off so the price was $309.00. We left very frustrated. We went back this morning to talk to a manager and asked her about the same refrigerator. She said it was not a customer return a and that the price was $359. Particularly the flooring dept. can we say nightmare??? I go to HD and schedule someone to come out to do the estimate. I state from the start that the house has existing wood/laminate flooring that I want to carry over to my family room. I explain Im not certain what existing material is. Estimator comes out does his thing & gives us a quote. We decide to go thru with it. Fast forward to day of installation. Contract company comes out & rips out existing carpet. They lay out the padding and start laying down the laminate. Guy calls me over & says he can't proceed because it will result in a trip hazard because existing flooring is a lot taller than the new flooring. Uh hello??? Well how are u going to fix it? Well we can't ma'am, you will have to discuss with HD. Are u kidding me?? Shouldn't the store staff or estimator have warned us of this possibility?? Oh and what's better is they didn't even try to give us a discount or rush the process at all to help alleviate the issue. We had concrete slab for flooring for a whole month. The only solution they gave us was either for us to get a contractor to add height to our existing concrete slab, or get new flooring that's thicker to "fill" the height difference. So not impressed & do not recommend them at all... now we have a bigger job ahead of us & its a lot more expensive than what we wanted to spend. read more

(I should tell you I walk with a cane) I parked near the lumber door and started inside. I was stopped at the door and was told that I had to use the other door because I was not a contractor.
