Waited for HELP down the bulb/lights aisle (LED vs incandescents). They never showed up. Now after finding all remaining items to checkout. Only 1, count'em register open to handle every kind of purchase from lumber, paint, decorations to my bulbs and household items. We were backed up 7 customers with social distancing. ALL SELF CHECKOUTS WERE OPEN. Where was this store manager to be oblivious to this bottleneck? Poor distribution of staff given it was the lunch hour (for some shoppers), there were plenty of orange vests in the store doing goodness knows what. The customer behind me said out of principle she won't use self check and allow store to save money on staff and NOT pass any savings on to customer. She said if wait was excessive she'd leave cart and items and walk out. My sentiments exactly! Hello MANAGEMENT! Last I checked Home Depot was in the service business. Don't plan on getting help with the saw at this location. Last time I needed something cut, I waited 45 minutes and finally got help the fourth time I asked. I've waited 22 minutes today and asked twice. Sadly, the saw is broken at Lowe's or I would have gone there instead. The employees are aware this is an issue because the first one I asked sent out the request then told me good luck getting anyone to come. This is a very busy place. Sometimes it's better to come early morning or later in evening. I avoid Saturday altogether. Just way to many people with covid . They are pretty well stocked most of the time. As usual customer service is spotty. They do have some staff that are really helpful. Just trying to find them sometimes is hard to difficult. Prices can be good, but in today's world it's more about if they have what you want in stock. For the amount of volume they do this place is pretty amazing. I think when people review them they only focus on the negative issues. They do have them. But you should keep in mind this is a DIY place so do your homework and know what your looking for. I think that's a sad time when HD puts a cap on a military discount in your stores. 10% discount but to a certain limit now? Come On Brandon! That made me switch to Lowes. Let me know when you guys lift your HD limit on veterans that served your freedom for 110%! To put a limit expense on a veteran after they served you 110% and now you are giving them a limit amount of 10% back only on $400 a year! Especially this 100% permanently disabled veteran on a VA disability fixed income. This is a slap in the face and a kick to the twins of all that served. Shame on you HD! Just wow. I bought a washing machine from this location in October. The washing machine broke 6 weeks ago. I did all the right steps and contacted the company Whirlpool because it as a 1 year warranty. Whirlpool said they would look for a provider to fix it, but it would take 7 days. On the 7 day they called and said there was no provider to fix the washing machine because I live in a rural area, but that they would need 7 more days to look for a secondary provider. After waiting a total of 21 days I contacted whirlpool again. Was told that my claim was still "open" and that this was strange but a supervisor would call me. It's been another 5 days and the supervisor still as not called me. At this point I contacted the Home Depot store in Washington Utah where I bough the washing machine. My receipt clearly states that I have til October 1 2023 to return the washing machine. I asked to speak with the store manager after exhausting all avenues. The store manager said there was no way my receipt said that, and I asked if he said I was lieing. He then got an attitude, and then said he would look into the issue and give me a call back. This never happened. So now a blue collar family of 3 kids and a pregnant wife have been left without a washing machine for 6 weeks with no help from both the store and whirlpool. We have to drive 45 minutes to our parents house on the reservation just to do our laundry. I have easily spent over $10,000 at Home Depot in this one year. The lack of care or sympathy from these two company is something out of this world, and a company that claims to be for the working class. read more

To all women out there who are sent to Home Depot by the men in their lives. If you are like me, half the time, we are sent to pick something up that we have no idea what it is. Well, my husband sent me for a 3/8th's copper coupling. As I walked down the aisle a worker was walking in front of me and turned around to ask if I needed help. Pleasantly surprised I said yes and he helped me find the coupling. However, my husband sent me back to buy a 1" coupling. The 2nd trip was maddening at best. I walked to the same isle and an older gentleman worker was explaining to a couple that they needed to give the store 5 stars on their survey. I walked past thinking I could find it on my own since I knew where the copper couplings were now. I couldn't find them so I waited for the worker to notice me standing there, but he could care less and continued to shoot the breeze with the couple. I looked for another worker and couldn't find anyone. I waited for about 10 minutes when I finally interrupted his conversation to ask for help. I said, "I could use help finding a 1" copper coupling" he said "we don't have ANY copper couplings". I told him I just bought some 3/8 couplings. That's when he said, "well they weren't 1inch". Why did he say they didn't carry any copper couplings when they most certainly did. I bet he wouldn't have spoken to my husband that way. I left furious for the way I was talked down to and thought to myself, no wonder the guy has to beg for good survey results. My rating for the first worker would be a 5. Unfortunately it's employees like the second, condescending cocky guy that can ruin a company, especially for us women who just need a little help now and again. Recommendation for HD. Watch your employees and get rid of the ones who ignore customers, and reward those that go the extra mile and offer to help. You slackers know who you are and I'm sure HD does as well, but chooses to keep you on for some reason. My only regret was not asking for his name, but I will never go back to HD by myself unless I know exactly what I am looking for. read more

Everyone makes mistakes right? No worries because it's how you handle the problem that matters. Washington UT HOme Depot FAILED big time. Mistake? They installed the wrong wood floors. Easy mistake--there are two products with the same name- she simply entered the wrong code on the store computer when processing our quote. Their remedy? The local manager denied that it was their mistake. The employee remembered what we had wanted (it was the only sample we took) and admitted to us she made the mistake). The following day, the store manager and flooring manager then blackballed us from speaking to her or the installer- saying she was "sick" or the installer was "at a funeral" (which we later learned was a lie of course.) They are trying to charge us more money now to get the right floor. Unbelievable!! Meanwhile, we incurred expenses of living in a motel and holding off our furniture delivery etc etc. It got worse-- While meeting with Washington UT store management, the flooring manager bullied me! I had said "Home Depot WILL honor their price and make this right.". (they do in California atleast) His response, as he stood over me?.... He leaned forward and said "NOBODY tells ME what I will or won't do!" squinting his eye at me even. I excused myself with my heart squeezing from his bullying and threatening posture. When I passed by him on my way out he said "THANKs"- (for leaving.) My husband was in a horrible position to stay back and deal with them, and worrying about me. DISGUSTING customer service from a national chain!! I'll never go back to that store again. The wonderful Santa Clara store seems to be making up for it as they are so so helpful and opposite in their attitude. Other women have since told me they get that kind of bullying in the Washington UT store too. We are now taking this up to corporate level as the store manager is not even responsive to our emails. BTW- the mistake was made in 2 houses- and we can't disturb our tenant to get the right floor installed- so we are screwed on that one no matter what - NO STARS for Washington UTAH HOME DEPOT. I think the management there should be fired for how they are handling a simple mistake that we would have forgiven them for- if they'd made right by us. read more

I was looking for two different products. I asked four different employees for help to locate the items. It felt like a point in the right direction is about all they can do. 2 out of 5 stars. id give it a 0, but that's not possible so i give you a 2. they had a great overweight dad section, i almost felt like i might find my own father who disappeared here 23 years ago. unfortunately, i did not which ultimately led to me take off a star. they had a terrible sprinkler section, they were all completely broken and i had to improvise with my mouth (i was the sprinkler in this scenario). They also have a disgraceful plant section, i have never been more disappointed by the gardening employees. the monstera leaves were so brown and crispy you could take it to chick fil a and eat it on their chicken sandwich and actually be satisfied. And the tropical collection? they were shipped dead. deadass. they stocked the garden section with dead plants. they actually need to go beg persephone to come back up here and teach them a thing or two and beg for mercy. goddamn. read more

We have had a very disappointing experience. We had our washer and dryer installed today and the installer's who you hired hooked the drainage hose into the wrong area, instead of one that was clearly piped. This caused flooding literally into our walls. My brand new carpets in my bedroom, hallway and front room are soaked, the baseboards, the bathroom cabinets. Not to mention I had to leave work for a few hours today. The best answer we could get from the installers was "well we put it where we thought it went and didn't look at the other area". If your not going to do something right, don't do it at all. Tatiana from Home Depot has told us that someone will call us with in 48 business hours. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH DAMAGE THAT CAN DO TO A HOUSE???? We had to call our insurance company and have them start fixing everything... So now we are stuck in our brand new home that we have literally lived in for 24 hours with loud fans that I won't be able to sleep through blaring in my ears! I am very disappointed and upset. I don't spend nearly $1400.00 at a store to have my new home ruined and my work and sleep disrupted. Our insurance adjuster told us he has had a few similar claims this year from a subcontractor that Home Depot uses and thinks its probably the same company. We are so inconvenienced and upset! I believe she did it on purpose cuz she just looked at us and ignored us. We asked the cashier for help she sent us to customer service to just tell us to wait. Finally another employee came to help us, if it not for her we would have left. So many employees working but no one that can really help you. What a frustrating experience I had at this location today. Customer service is horrible. I looked for 20 minutes for metric screw and was finally able get the attention of an employee who followed another customer to the area. I showed him what I needed and he took me the area, opened a drawer and told me my screw would be there . I quickly noted that these were hex headed bolts not screws. I turned to see the employee shuffling south bound in the isle and out of sight. I tried to find additional assistance and after at least 10 minutes gave up. I must be a gluten for punishment because my last visit rushed back into my memory. This same thing all over. Not another dime ! You big box places are not the answer! Just wanted a receipt emailed to me. They could pull up the info and read it to me but could not email it to me said if I would just drive to the nearest Home Depot they could print it out to me. When I made the Oder they said the receipt would be emailed to me and verified my email. 2 weeks went by and nothing was emailed to me. Explained nearest Home Depot was 45 min from my house and the lady just kinda chuckled at me. Tried to buy a washer/dryer 8/20 they had none in stock & was told it would take 10 days to 3 months to get it in. We live over 2hrs away so when I got home I called the other HD across town & they were very helpful & placed my order over the phone. The appliances were to delivered to their store in 5 days. My husband picked them up, we've spent a total of 8 hrs driving to get them. We had purchased the cords/vent hose, etc. ($75) & discovered we didn't need them. Our neighbors are going to this store today so they were going to return them for us. I called & after being on hold for quite awhile I was told they will not take them because it was an online (phone) order & now we will have to drive another 4 hrs to go to the other store. ARG!!! We used to shop Home Depot for all our home projects and repair needs. From gardening, sprinkler system and fencing to paint supplies and tools. Our lot sits lower than the street. Which means we have to use a sump pump to pump our sewer to the street. Well, it went out. So we of course went to Home Depot to buy it. The guy in plumbing showed me the one I needed. He suggested we buy the extended warranty on it. So we did. The warranty on it was 1 year. Less than a year later the pump went out. We called the manufacturer and the said we would have to ship it to them and they would either fix it or replace it if they couldn't fix it. I explained our situation and let them know we need it now. They suggested taking it back to the store because they could get credit from the manufacturer. Since I live in Hurricane, I called first. I spoke with the manager, Lisa. I told her my situation and she said because it was past 90 days, they couldn't do anything at the store level. That I would have to go through the manufacturer. I told her what they said and she still told me I have to do it through them. I ended up calling Lowe's to see if maybe they could help. I explained the whole situation to their manager. And he was awesome! He told me since they carry that same brand, to bring it in and her would switch it out for me! That he would have no problem getting credit from the manufacturer! He said as long as I do all my future shopping with Lowe's! Because Home Depot left me out to dry when it mattered most, I no longer shop there and I don't recommend them to anyone!!!! I wish there was an option to give zero stars because that us what this Home Depot deserves! read more

Don't buy extended warranties on appliances. Warranty service is awful.Took 4 months to schedule repair on simple dishwasher not draining. Tenant was there on appt day and time and twice repair people didn't show up. The actual repair people and the warranty people don't co-ordinate schedules...so guess what...nothing gets done. The warranty people want model no. and serial no. before doing anything...of course those numbers are not on the receipts or warranty paperwork...only inside the appliance...and you get to talk to people from Tennessee who have a difficult time with the english language and are counting the time till closing time. Lowe's has a much better warranty/service...I think they actually co-ordinate with each other...go figure. read more

Be careful when you order from this store. They promised our washer and never fulfilled their promise. The washer they got in was apparently damaged and they didnt get another washer in for us. We even went in and complained and nothing was done. 3 weeks without a good washer. Are they going to do anything about it? Who knows? I called in and they said "well you should have ordered it in April and you would have got it." Was our issue in April? No! They did nothing for us. They made an excuse and said its our fault for not ordering earlier. Our mistake as the buyer? No, they are a store they make a promise they should fulfill it. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. My husband is a Veteran, and we have shopped at Home depot for years because the discount they give to Veterans, But will no longer give them our business. Their employees as well as their manager treated my husband and myself with such disrespect, and belittled both us while trying to get out of waranteeing an item we spent over $400 on. One employee even told my husband he was going to throw away the item we brought back in (their most expensive drill set) and that we could just buy a new one. What a worthless store. Every time I go into this Home Depot I come out empty handed. I have shopped at a lot of Home Depots in my time and find most of them at least acceptable. The Home Depot in Washington UT. is a different sort. Completely worthless. The employees are empty headed and unwilling to help in any way. Most recently I asked for a price on two custom order kitchen cabinets so I could get a baseline price on a new kitchen. After spending almost an hour waiting they were unable to provide pricing. How in the world would I be able to order an entire kitchen from them? They are consistently out of stock on just about everything I am looking for every time I go in. On another recent visit they closed the register where I was standing in line for 15 minutes. I was the only other customer in that line. Then I had to go stand in another line. I protested and they just blew me off. The manager looked straight at me when he instructed the checker to close. Even the management in this store is worthless.
