In February 2026 I ordered 7 Anderson windows from Home Depot at a cost of $15,000.00 with a down payment of $3,800.00. I was told they would be ready to install by May 18th but instead received a phone call from Home Depot telling me the installer was ill and could not install my windows until further notice. I subsequently received another call stating they would be ready to install by June 1st. When the installer arrived at my home and began tearing out the old windows he stopped his work to inform me that the original measurements taken in February by the " professional Anderson/Home Depot person " were incorrectly measured and the windows that had already been fabricated would not fit. Now I am being told it will take another couple months to refabricate the correct size windows and in the mean time we are left with windows that have partially been deconstructed and exposed to the elements. Home Depot was so so. Couldn't find what I wanted yet we found a shovel we needed for breaking up ice and digging up snow there. We were not assisted and received no service except when we purchased our item. The shovel was priced well. I had went here to purchase a statue of an angel. There were angel statues online for Home Depot but they were not in the store. I did see light bulb strands that changed colors by remote there and made a mental note to purchase some in the future. read more

I went and bought a washer and dryer set and also set up for two storm doors that they had to come measure for. After the measurements were done I went and picked out and ordered the doors and handles. They didn't come out for a month to install the doors and since the store gave the contractor the wrong doors and no build out material, he was in able to do them. He said he would fix it with the store and call to reschedule. A week later he called and said it would be another month because they had to special order one of the doors. I went to the store, canceled my order, and then went to Lowe's in Leland. I ordered my doors and had them both installed within a week. Also, I only paid $20 more dollars, for better doors, than Home Depot was charging me. Do yourself a favor and just go to Lowe's to begin with. read more

Store is filthy and terribly cluttered, pallets of product blocking aisles everywhere, trash on the floor, mens room smells like an outhouse. After researching smokers I went into Home Depot @ Myrtle grove to take a look at the Traeger pro series smoker. I was pleasantly surprised at how available the sales associates at Home Depot were to help. As I was looking at the smokers, A Gentleman named MIKE stopped and asked me if I had any questions?. When he could not, off the cuff, answer my question he walked me over to a computer in another department and started researching to find the answers. He sat with me for about 20 minutes, answering questions before I thanked him and headed on my way. that night I went online to purchase the Traeger pro series smoker. I applied for the Home Depot card for which I was approved. I did have some trouble with the website, and was unable to complete my purchase. The next afternoon, I went back into Home Depot and approach the service desk. RAEANN was working behind the service desk and, although it was very busy, took the necessary time to listen to what I have been trying to accomplish., Apply the discount I had received for applying for the Home Depot card, get my transaction processed, and make sure my delivery and assembly for exactly what I had needed. The entire time she was personable, friendly, and very efficient. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the service I received from RAEANN and MIKE. As I have received delivery of my grill today. Aug 27, 2022 Military discount was denied bc we didn't have the phone app. Literally!!!!! The female cashier said they could only do the discount if we had the phone app. She called over another woman who said that was correct procedure. I said, "are you saying you will not do a military discount with our ID card in our hand? And she said, "no discount, that's right!" Never go to Home Depot!!!! GO TO LOWE'S.... I would not recommend using the contractors service at all. Not only did it take longer than it should have, the people were not friendly, and acted like they could care less if i was a customer. I went on this visit to find an electric power washer and I couldn't find the one I was looking for. I looked for an employee that could help and flagged one down. I have to say he did a great job helping me out, especially since his department was flooring. This guy didn't even miss a step helping me out. He looked at the same place as me and couldn't find one so he scanned and looked in the back. No luck. He saw the next one up and price matched for me. Lucky me. Chris - Slicing plywood with precision. Last weekend, in building a kitchen bench and without a table saw at hand, I needed two 4x8 sheets of 3/4 plywood cut to the exact sizes I needed for the base, top and 4 sides. It was ridiculous. I purchased 1 panel of fencing. The woman who checked me out said to pull out front and they will load it. I did. Yet, everyone else that came was loaded before me. I even had to move because the arrogant, self conscious people that came after I did made a point of me being in the way. Twice I walked inside and asked for assistance to absolutely no avail. One young man told me that I had to wait because they needed a forklift!!!! For one 4×8 fence panel!!!!?** I am a 55 year old woman and I could've picked it up and loaded it myself and still have time in my morning!!! Finally, when I was being loaded after being very persistent , the guy had the nerve to say that the contractors got loaded first and it is Saturday(wtf)- obviously don't know about them but I WORK ON SATURDAYS-I was driving a dump truck - (dumbasses)- what did they think I was doing??? Joyriding I guess. My whole simple transaction took more than one hour! If there was a negative 5 stars, I would give it for today's lack of performance. read more

I purchased a washer and was told in order to have it connected I had to buy new hoses which I did I was not asked how long of hose did I need and since one does not buy washers frequently I didn't realize I needed extra long ones When delivery guys came they said I got the wrong hoses So I said I would connect it But for them stay so I could verify it worked since I had bought a refrigerator from them about a year ago and it didn't work took weeks to get that resolved!!! They would not wait although I almost had it connected before the left I asked them to level it and they refused I called spoke to the manager and basically he just said sorry about that and acted like he was going to check out my complaint still waiting to hear back Will not buy another appliance due to lack of customer service read more

By far and away the best "big box" home improvement store in Wilmington. I am in there usually 1x a month and have always had a good experience. I had an amazing experience on Saturday night when after undertaking an unplanned bathroom remodel Mary in the tile section asked if I needed help and boy did I! We talked about the tile I had chosen and what I wanted to do, she gave me some great ideas and then asked if I needed any more help. She spent the next hour with me picking out possible paint colors, a bathtub, fixtures and plumbing accessories (shout out to Eddie in Plumbing- also exceptional). Even though those were not Mary's speciality area she went WAY above and beyond and provided a truly exceptional customer experience. Ive literally spent $9,000 dollars at Home Depot in the last two weeks but after today I'll never set foot in this Home Depot again. There truly are some fantastic associates at this location who are knowledgeable about the products they are selling and super helpful. However, today my husband nedeed help finding 3/4 inch MDF and we saw a HD employee in the plywood aisle. Admittedly she did attempt to look for the 3/4 however when my husband asked a question she got snippy and answered him with a smart ass response . Luckily Lowe's is close by so my husband told her that we no longer required her assistance and we left. We went 5 minutes down the road and got what we needed at Lowe's. I'm sorry I had to write this review because this was an anomaly since this particular HD historically has had the best employees ( in my humble opinion) but once I feel that I'm not valued as a customer I take my money elsewhere. read more

I have to comment about this Home Depot's wonderful telephone service--a type of customer relations service that is deteriorating rapidly. Gone are the days in most retail establishments where a telephone call gets anything more than minimal service (and if you could hear eye rolling you would) and repeated voice mail messages urging you to go the company website. Here's the thing, the people who are most likely to enter a retail store are the same people who prefer to use the telephone rather than a website (yes I mean old people like me). Home Depot referred me to a manufacturer's customer service telephone which probably was not the worst in human history but close--wrong numbers, hang ups, seemingly endless instructions to press yet another option and nearly continuous urging to go the manufacturer's website. I called Home Depot back and tada! the sales associate in appliances took care of contacting the manufacturer for me. Really if manufacturer's don't want to provide telephone service, they need to warn customers in advance that they only provide online customer service and tell those of us who prefer the telephone to buy from someone else. Simply put, I selected AND paid for 9 interior doors and 1 exterior door, 2500$ worth, the first week of November. I was told they would be installed PRIOR to Christmas. Today is January 6 and I still have no new doors. I emailed Home Depot and they basically do not give a damn. I am remodeling my kitchen counters next, I then am doing the 2nd bath (a total redo), then I'm replacing the entire house 2000sq with new flooring. In need of a new roof. I was sold on the 25 year craftsmanship warranty so I wouldn't have to worry about roof repairs, they'd be in business ready for repairs and I could pass that warranty onto another homeowner. Sounds like a no brainer, more value and worry free, Not so!!! I informed sales rep there were prior leaks prior to me purchasing and the house is 20 years old maybe need more repairs. Roof was installed last February, they never checked my attic as stated they would, they bumped wooded logs with their truck that's set up for water issues on hoa drive, broke stepping stones by truck driving over it, left dumpster there blocking hoa drive for a week plus longer than told, had to get new approval to avoid hoa fees for blocking hoa road, to a conversation to close the deal over phone when I never had a chance to inspect it so he could get a bonus and to help with hoa drive issues and breaking stepping stones to get a gift certificate in return. Thought I'd be nice since I couldn't tell if a roof would be ok or not so he could get his bonus. To report a minor water spot on bedroom ceiling in July. This was a small spot at the time. If repair guy came to inspect roof 2.5 weeks from reporting it, it would not have turned into 3.5 weeks later, 8 ceiling water spots and now into walls. Roofer comes out does a horrible hack caulking job all over my brand new roof! He says they should have replaced the metal sidings and caulked to house (ask for more details). To owner of roofing company who's in a different state to say not their fault it's the chimney which was right in their faces while installing roof!!! Never told me my chimney had issues yet they're installing a 25 year warranty craftsmanship roof on. To the Home Depot manager agreeing to split the cost of repairs as a hurricane was coming and they couldn't do it. So get that fixed. Now onto the clean up of caulked, rotted plywood, molded mildew water stains on ceiling and walls whom which we are allergic to mold and mildew. I received a verbally agreement to repair roof area, molded boards, though my other boards above ceiling not authorized to replace/fix and would credit my account for interior bedroom repairs. I asked and was told I'd get that in writing that night as going out of town for business and knew couldn't send in writing later that week. This was also verbally stated could have someone out to fix in a week. It's now 3 plus weeks, no appointment for repairs and nothing in writing like stated and promised so. Absolutely beyond frustrating 3 months later of reporting still not completed nor near completion. Now I have spotted more water stains on 3 diffetent ceilings and in need of refinancing my home yet have a water stained bedroom. So it's costing me money to not be able to refinance my home without a good appraisal and I have a water stained bedroom ceilings, walls and now additional ceilings in my home. 3 plus months is a long time for this!!! I highly recommend LOCAL companies and smaller business owners who take pride in their work, customer service and WAY less money to purchase! Beyond dissatisfied. read more
