My mom has been there 2 times in less than a month. They found the root cause of her issues, and…read moreshe is currently recovering from surgery in the ICU. Everyone was super polite and positive. The Godly atmosphere and family oriented staff are great! I even heard one nurse correct another for cussing. The food wasn't too bad, Morrison Food Group could do to visit and check it out, but otherwise it was alright.

Went to Grandview main ER yesterday, BP reading there was 209/179 (despite taking a double-dose of…read moremy BP meds to bring it down prior) and I had lost consciousness just before going to ER. After being taken back was told by NP Laura that "unless your labs show evidence of end-stage organ (i.e. liver, kidney) damage" your BP is NOT an emergency and we will not be addressing or treating it at all in the ER. You need to see a primary care doctor to add ANOTHER BP Rx to control this, all we will do is a chest x-ray to rule out emergenct causes of the syncope and labs to see if you have organ damage but we will not be treating your blood pressure because it is NOT an emergency. I was flabbergasted and began removing the chest leads so I could go somewhere that would treat me, hopefully before I had a stroke, and NP Laura says panickedly to the nurse "make sure you document this." As I'm walking out of the room the nurse tries to stop me saying "you need to sign this" and I told her I would not be signing anything. I went immediately to a doctor's office down the road for a prescription of the necessary BP medicine as I was told to do by this unhinged "nurse practitioner" (never did see a doctor) where, after having my BP taken I was told I could not be treated there because my BP WAS HIGH ENOUGH TO CONSTITUTE AN EMERGENCY and that an ambulance was being called to take me to Grandview! I told them what happened and they were stunned, as were the paramedics - I was finally taken to a different ED where I was treated with no issue, costing me an enormous amount of money and time during which I could very well have had a stroke. STEER CLEAR OF GRANDVIEW! I'm not really sure what business they are in but it sure as hell isn't medicine!

We had a lot of deep concern and disappointment regarding the care my 88-year-old mother received…read moreunder Amedysis services. After two weeks of illness and repeated contact with theirboffice, I made the difficult decision to discontinue care with Amedysis. The primary issue was with the office staff. While my first few calls were polite, it quickly became apparent that their words were not backed by genuine care or follow-through. I felt no compassion, urgency, or personal concern for my mother's well-being -- only routine responses that failed to address her needs. This lack of communication and empathy created unnecessary stress for both of us. I do, however, want to recognize those who truly made a difference: Nurse Darren, who was exceptional in both skill and compassion, and physical therapists Craig and Annette, who provided excellent care and encouragement. They exemplified the quality and heart that families hope for when trusting a loved one to home health care. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended -- to improve care for patients and their families.

Our location in TRUSSVILLE, AL is miserably failing my aunt. The therapists themselves are caring…read moreand concerned. But before I brought my aunt home, her insurance company verified she would receive a certain number of hours and services per week with no limits on how long. They have dropped some services for lack of progress, so I understand. However, they didn't even do me the courtesy of telling me PT was discharging her...just left us waiting around for them to come! When I called the office, they led me to believe someone would still be coming. Her bath aide has not shown up in two weeks. The first day, the aide herself texted and told me she was sick. After that, no one has called, texted, or let me know when she will be back, other than saying she would come last Thursday but never showed. I have called the office repeatedly asking what, if any, services we will be receiving, with no straight answer! My aunt has been sick since last Thursday. No nurse visit, even though the "robo-call" machine asks if we are experiencing worsening symptoms that make us wonder whether we should go to the ER. I have answered YES every time and indicated we need a nurse. No call back yet and the robo-call has called several times since last week. I am so done with this place. I am the nursing supervisor of a hospital and my aunt is getting NOTHING from this company. I've received only one billing statement and it included two bath aide visits when she only had one that week. That's why the government fined them I guess . Please don't do your loved-one the disservice of using this disorganized, uncaring company!!
