1 &1/2 jack & jill bath remodel in very small condo. Started out encouraged by reviews and estimate. Felt positive with the team lead I met. Ive typically managed my remodel projects by hiring and managing subcontractors myself. But in this instance, was looking for all in one (design build type organization) because I'm out of state and planned a month on site for start to completion, (and knew I'd be paying more.) Was promised this support, as in help with ideas and decisions, purchase and construction/finishing in the time frame. Unfortunately it fell apart the day the project began. Unknown to me the team lead I met was out on extended health issue. They sent another lead who showed up very sick. I later found out this poor guy was being treated for CA. I was told all is well, he's doing ok, one of the best and he comes with a team. Ok I said, I'm in medical field so I am a softy and took owner at her word. I definitely expected too much. First day I was asked by team what they were doing. This after spending over a month detailing plans,purchases and ideas with their boss. WOW. I didn't sleep well that night. ZERO COMMUNICATION. I felt misled about how thorough the design support team was. I was 'yessed' a lot but started to sense I was not getting honest input for ideas. Felt like I was constantly reiterating my specifications and details that would seem standard in a bath remodel. But I thought at minimum, the team sent out to me would know why they were coming. I'd already put money down and materials purchased. That day was demo day so at least that started. Should I have booted them out? I don't know. Once my project seemed understood, I felt a little better. BUT, team struggled with commute, complained a lot such that they arrived later than promised, usually arrived by 10 am and usually out by 2 or 3 pm. My gut said this impacted the agreed upon deadline. In addition, the very sick lead person ended up in hospital 2 times. So there were days when nothing substantial was done. More delays. If I fired them I wasn't certain how long it would take to find someone else in the time constraints I had. Everything ripped out, leaving the tenant without toilet sink shower indefinitely? I couldn't think clearly of what my recourse could be. Overall we were out a full bathroom for 4 weeks without shower over 4 + weeks. Shower finished day before I left, not much time to check it all out. In addition to above issues we had a big problem with quality. I now own one of the worst tile jobs I've seen. Tiles do not meet flush where they abut. I demanded to have the worst repaired, but couldn't imagine going through ripping it all out and redoing. I had to return home and was scared to leave my home open to this company without supervision. Unfortunately, during this repair, other tiles were (and REMAIN chipped) during the process. I was given about 5% discount on price as they acknowledged the chips while complaining to me they had spent too long on my project and needed to pay their contractors. I was kind of traumatized by this entire ordeal as I've always had great work done in past projects I managed myself. I guess I am now fluent in 'Oh my God, I'm out a big chunk of money, unhappy with outcome, can't even rely on references OR the fact that they are licensed and insured!' NO I cannot imagine going through this for my little kitchen so NO, Honey Do will not get this project. I'm so fair, I'm actually giving them 2 stars . Sinks, toilets are running, it looks nice in pictures, very sad tile job. Needs better lighting, new exhaust fan not quiet it's LOUDER than the one installed in 1987. Had Honey Dew Crew give us an estimate to replace subfloor and flooring in my 80 year old Dad's home. Reasonably priced so we hired them, gave them a $4000+ deposit to get it done. Now over 2 and a half months later, no work being done. For weeks no response to calls and texts. Finally had enough and requested a refund, I'm told then they can start Monday. When asked for a definite for Monday, Owner tells me he has a cash flow problem and he can't start Monday. You took over $4000 from my Dad and now have no money to do his job or return his deposit. We are now forced to take all legal measures criminal and civil to get my Dad's money back. Please beware before using this company. I will be actively pursuing having his license canceled. read more

Honey Do Crew is awesome! During Hurricane Irma I was rushing around town looking for additional lumber as I miscalculated how many 2x4s I would need to protect my sliding glass doors. Home Depot was closed, Lowe's closed earlier than anticipated and no lumber yards were open. Luckily, I live down the street from the Honey Do Crew and as I was driving back home I noticed they had some lumber. At first I hesitated to stop and ask to buy some lumber off of them because I didn't want to come across as desperate, but figured "what the heck" and stopped anyway. I'm so glad I stopped because Honey Do Crew answered the door and when I explained my situation the nice young lady was more than willing to help out and GAVE me the 2x4s I needed to protect my glass doors. I offered to pay for the 2x4s but she refused to accept any money as they just wanted to help out any way they could. Apparently their crew had been working VERY hard boarding up homes in Miami in preparation for Irma and they had some left over lumber to spare. I just want to say THANK YOU again for being so caring, understanding and willing to give a helping hand to a total stranger in need. Home Owner Beware; this contractor does not have a license or insured as advertised;. We had some major work completed to the tune of 60K. The work took forever to get accomplished. 6 months later we had to have a wall rebuilt that began to collapse and wasn't built to code. We couldn't call them back for warranty because of the license issue and obvious reasons. They wouldn't stand behind their work when we asked for a refund for building that wall, the owner refused. We had to pay an additional 10K to fix their mistakes. They are also 3 to 4 times more expensive but their workmanship is substandard read more

Please be CAUTIOUS when hiring this company. The company was NOT licensed to do the majority of the work that they performed on our home. They are overpriced in total and did not rebuild our garage repair to code. We were forced to get an after the fact building permit and have their work REDONE at the cost of $10K. They didn't use the correct beam for the header and the wall was sagging by over 1 1/2"! The failed to put in the correct hurricane straps and it wasn't anchored properly. We've asked them for reimbursement of the costs but they are ignoring our requests. Don't let their friendly faces fool you. They don't stand behind their work. They no longer are on Angie's list or Home Advisor due to this complaint and legal ramifications of doing unlicensed work. They also have an unsatisfied claim at the Better Business Bureau. I literally had a "honey do" list of small projects - hang curtains & an outdoor shade, put together bookshelf and bed frame, install shower caddie. The guys were great - showed up on time (8-9 a.m.), worked efficiently, were very nice. They even had ideas for where to drill holes that could save us from getting dinged on our security deposit. The office called Friday to let me know they had a last-minute opening, which didn't work for me but I appreciated the offer. If I could give The Honey Do Crew 10 Stars, I would! I had been looking for someone to repair my front walkway, a 10' x 8' area, for almost 3 years. The job was too small for some, and the estimate was ridiculously high with others, and one wouldn't give me an estimate at all! Brian came to see the job, and gave me a reasonable estimate. Considering the professional service I received, I almost feel like I didn't pay enough! What was supposed to be a 3 day job turned, into a 7 day job, not due to slow work, but due to the excellence, expertise and meticulous work of Vince, who came to do the job. He cared about everything, making sure the pavers were not even 1/16 inch higher than my driveway, ensuring the gradation would make water run away from my house, and not pool, and repairing mistakes made by previous pavers. Terrible customer support. They seemed nice at first when preparing the estimate, but their workers completely messed up my porch. Instead of fixing the problems, they created more damage. When I called to complain it was like they didn't know me. Completely denied they did any work for me and stopped returning phone calls. Now I have to find a new contractor to fix their work.
