We bought a high-end hot tub cover from the Hot Tub Store not because we have a high-end hot tub, but because we live in a very damp area and needed one that could withstand moisture without getting mildew (we'd throw multiple foam ones in the landfill during the many years this one will last us - it will outlast the tub in fact). Shopped around a LOT and got the best price and the best service from these folks. Michelle was great during the decision and pre-delivery phase (easy to reach a human by phone and email ), and Benjamin Williams and Daniel B were awesome during delivery and install. They really know their stuff!!! there was a minor glitch and they handled it super professionally. Communication was also great pre-arrival (both times ). And they anticipated and took care of a need we didn't even know we had. Notably, our hot tub is a brand that the Hot Tub Store doesn't sell, but Benjamin still knew a lot about our brand. When it comes to delivering excellent customer service BenJamin and Daniel are IT! They were here yesterday to install our new hot tub cover. They did an excellent job. But more than that! Before they came they checked our file to determine if the hot tub needed more treatment. The ozone system needed to be replaced and they had the equipment. They also went through the other equipment and the filters needed to be replaced. They also cleaned the inner area of the hot tub. I purchased a new hot tub recently at the fairgrounds from a company who is not from around here, we've all seen the HOT TUB! HOT TUB! HOT TUB! commercial on TV, the salesman was great, friendly and knowledgeable, made everything sound so easy from hooking it up to the existing electrical to adjusting the water PH, "just go to You Tube" was what he said, I was excited to fill it up with water, let it heat up and jump in but to my disappointment (since we are on a well) as soon as I added the ph increaser it turned a greenish color, I cleaned the filter, added more chemicals but all I had was a big mess, nothing that I could do was helping so I went to The Hot Tub Store and they were so friendly and helpful, I had Benjamin come over to my house to sort out the situation, he drained it and we started all over from scratch, he knew exactly how to treat a hot tub with well water and got it crystal clear in a short amount of time, one thing that I have learned is that trying to save a buck by buying at the BIG SALE from a company that is not local is not worth the headache of not having the support of a local business, I regret not buying my hot tub from The Hot Tub Store but am grateful they they are here if I have any future hot tub needs. read more

This review is about my experience at the Hot Tub Store on Cleveland Avenue in Santa Rosa. I've had my current Vanguard model Hot Springs spa since 2017, and it is by far my favorite feature of our backyard! This is actually the third spa I've owned in the last 35 years, and my second Hot Springs spa that I purchased from The Hot Tub Store. What stood out for me is the quality of this line of spas. All of the internal fittings and plumbing are "foamed in", giving the internal structure rigidity and resistance to failures due to vibration. And I'm pleased to find that Hot Springs has continued to innovate over the decades. For example, the spa's external shell is now of a much improved and durable material that expect should last the lifetime of the spa. And lastly, I can't say enough for the professionalism and service that The Hot Tub Store has provided me over the years! Benjamin Williams, the Field Management Technician called me ahead of time regarding his estimated time of arrival and showed up at that time. He carefully evaluated the systems and clearly explained his findings, including how the systems work and a detailed explanation of his recommendations. I spent nearly $20,000 on a hot tub from this company, and the experience after delivery has been one of the most frustrating customer service situations I have dealt with. I made repeated attempts over several months to resolve these issues directly before writing this review. When the hot tub was delivered, no stairs were brought with it. Instead, the team selected a set of stairs last minute on site. Those stairs did not properly fit the space and felt unstable, yet I was still charged for them. During installation, a technician looked at the electricians working on site and asked "Do they speak English?" with an eye roll, which made both me and another adult present uncomfortable. It was unprofessional behavior in a customer's home. Because of that interaction and the overall confusion surrounding installation, I chose to cancel valet services and instead requested a one-time instructional visit so I could maintain the hot tub myself. That visit never happened. Instead, what followed was months of disorganization and lack of follow-through: * No one replaced the ill-fitting stairs * No one provided the promised instruction * My hot tub went over a month without service, leaving the water cloudy and foamy * I received repeated calls asking me to update my credit card after requesting cancellation * I spent months chasing follow-up calls and emails * At one point, the voicemail for the person assigned to help me was not even set up After all of this, the company ultimately terminated the service relationship entirely and informed me that any support for the spa could be found in the owner's manual. They have offered to refund the stairs once they are picked up, but that does not address the larger issue: a complete lack of coordination, accountability, and post-sale support after a very expensive purchase. For a product at this price point, I expected professionalism and guidance. Instead, the experience has been marked by disorganization, poor communication, and a company that appears unwilling to take responsibility when things go wrong. I strongly encourage potential buyers to read reviews carefully before purchasing. The company responded to this review stating that they "tried to assist but were met with conflict." I want to clarify that the difficulties arose because I spent months trying to reach the company without resolution. Calls went unanswered, at one point I was given a phone number where the voicemail box was not even set up, and repeated attempts to schedule instruction or service went nowhere. Communication was also often patronizing -- I asked multiple times not to be addressed as "Miss Jen," yet it continued. We signed up for the Hot Tub Store monthly maintenance almost a year ago and have been very pleased. We got started when Benjamin came out to make a repair and spent a good deal of time explaining the maintenance issues I was having and pointing out how regular, skilled, maintenance was the answer. And Benjamin was right. Our tub looks and performs great. The water is always clean and balanced and we enjoy our tub a lot more.
