If I lived close by I would come here every week. The amish couple was so nice and the prices were great. We bought a lot of things. Some highlights from our purchases were pumpkin cinnamon buns, fresh made salsa, fresh produce, potato chips cooked in lard, and local made pretzels. I wanted to buy eggs too bc they had chickens right by the parking lot. But after wandering around the indoor and outdoor store I forgot to go back to the egg section. (so dumb bc the store is small). They also had tons of varieties of pumpkins outdoors for $2 but they weren't sure which ones were roastable/edible so I didn't end up buying any. My boyfriend loved the family dog that was hanging around outdoors by the pumpkins.

We just showed up on a Saturday wanting to meet the pigs, and she welcomed us right in--no obligation to buy. We got to see all of her pigs, who were excited to soak up our attention. She has several full-grown pot-bellied pigs and then three litters of babies had just been born recently, and we got to meet and learn about all of them. She educated us about "mini-pigs," which are really just pot-bellied pigs that aren't yet fully grown, and the proper care for them. I learned a ton and got to check "hanging out with mini-pigs" off of my bucket list. Great experience overall!

They offer a range of products, from individual cuts of beef (Filets, Delmonicos, Sirloins, NY Strips, Brisket, Roasts, Burgers, Patties, Franks, etc.), to quarter cows, or more if you make a custom order. The store is a little room off the side of the farmer's home garage. There is a big sign at the street, leading you up a long dirt-gravel driveway. Signs will point you to the door for the store, and on the window is a note with the owner, Mary's, phone number, to call if you need assistance. So note that that's the thing, there is no human in the store for assistance. It's done on the honor system, and Mary is available by phone if you need her, but it's pretty much all self-serve. You write down in a notebook, your name, and list of groceries with your own tally, then drop the cash or a check in the cashbox. There is a jar beside the cashbox with cash and coins to make change for yourself if needed. We didn't believe/trust it all until another customer came in after us and explained it. In the little store room are a few cases of frozen beef, chicken, veal, sausage, and dog food. Refrigerated cases hold cheese, eggs, etc. Nearby shelves and a table hold dry goods like honey, jams, soaps, jerky, etc. Everything is either organic, hormone/antibiotic-free, natural, grass-fed, free-range, or a combo thereof. Each item is clearly marked with a price. Many items were on sale when we were there, so you make your own deduction when you tally your payment. Their price list of cost per pound is on their website, but again, each cut is priced individually, so you don't need to do that math too. Their hours are extremely convenient, 7 days a week from 8am-8pm! We normally stock up on organic meats at Necessity Farm in Telford (Bucks County), but there are a lot of great reviews (on Yelp and elsewhere) for this place, just raving about the steaks, so we wanted to give them a try. The other customer who made her purchase when we did recommended the chip steak for cheesesteaks. We got that and a few strip steaks. Our first try on the strip steaks was okay. They were built up so much by all the high ratings, that we expected a lot. The smell was great, the look was there, and there was a very clean flavor, with adequate meaty savoriness. The texture was just not there; it was too tough. It is recommended that grass-fed beef be cooked medium-rare, which my husband aimed for, but our BBQ grill is on the fritz, so I think they were a little more on the medium side. That said, they weren't well done by any means, and should have been more tender. The chip steak made into cheesesteaks was amazing, probably the best we've ever made on our own, and, dare I say, better than my last Sonny's steak downtown (which was not their proudest moment). Regardless, the chip steak was REALLY good! I would definitely stop again for that. The ground beef is also supposed to be a hot item, signs advertised all the local restaurants where it is served, and the co-customer we spoke to said she'd originally started shopping there because of the burger. It is $8/lb though, so a bit pricey. It is worth a try, and I will happily stop in again to try some other items the next time I am in the area.

Its pricey ($19/lb) folks, so we are talking a $35 steak here. Also, note that it is not a true T-bone, in that the filet portion is non-existant, so its really a boned up NY strip. I wanted to compare with the Choice-gradeT-bones we get at BJ's for $8.50lb. End result - while flavorful, the cut was less tender than the b'js piece, which was cut in true rib eye fashion BTW. We all agreed that the Wyebrook had a slightly more "beefy" flavor (grass fed), but that it didn't justify the double price per lb. So while tasty, i can't say I'd buy thier steaks again, simpy due tot the fact that the price/benefit ratio is not there. Why Not Farms scottish highland cattle have better flavor and tenderness for about $3/lb less. Still a fun place to visit - just maybe control the impluse buys on the meat...;-)
