The equipment is well-cared for, and the members are a diverse lot. We've been there on a Sunday morning (you might hear some AJR playing) and on week nights. (A bit of Disturbed to thrash to, anybody?) The owner lives nearby and is really into his business. The bathrooms are roomy and well equipped with large private showers. What I really like is everybody is totally comfortable with being their and working on their stuff. All body shapes, all abilities. It doesn't matter, you'll get a smile and a nod. We spent a year debating whether to join a fitness center. The local Y has disappointed us many times. While you'll get the basics here (no pool, no basketball courts) it's all most of us need. There are also fitness classes, which I'd like to try out. Gentle stretching sounds right up my alley.

I contacted Luis and we were able to setup a meeting that same week at my gym. My first impressions of Luis were that he was extremely friendly, professional and truly cared about all of his clients. At our first meeting he wasted no time in taking an evaluation of my current fitness level and abilities, we discussed any prior injuries I had, what my diet looked like, and what my short- and long-term fitness goals were. Luis was always very attentive to my form and limits, but consistently pushed me to go harder or farther than I did the week before. If I ever had poor form or was struggling, Luis would instantly catch it and show me a modified exercise that would allow me to maximize my workout without compromising my form. His knowledge of fitness exercises is seemingly limitless. It doesn't really matter what your fitness goals are because Luis will work hard to tailor a regimen that fits YOUR needs and goals. During COVID-19 they do not require masks or require their members to practice safe distancing…read more They say they do, but when they are shown that some members have masks on the top of their head for the entire workout (yes, like a hat!) and/or under their chin for the entire workout, they DO nothing about it. Since there is video throughout the club---it's a pretty simple task to handle if safety was even something remotely a concern. Not. It's apparently all about the monies. Sad. For social distancing, most younger members do not respect the '6 feet' recommended safe distance in any shape or form. Some do, but most don't. Most are too busy with their phones stuck in their face to have any consideration for the health of others. Sad. Pretty much most/all the older club members (50+) have disappeared from the club ....and I doubt they will be quick to return, if ever. Sad. Staff members are now only one day a week (Wed) from 12-7pm. Consider some place else.

I asked for specific hours, since we have jobs that are morning to evening. They said "they stay for a couple hours". I asked again, sooo you don't know when someone is here. Since my arrival, they have been making great improvements and they are always thinking of ways to improve the place further (they recently added a sauna!). They are very people focused and work hard to maximize the experience of everyone who walks in the door (they take great interest in everyone they train personally and provide the help that is necessary for reaching goals). There is a lot of friendly people at the gym and it is a very safe environment for those who are nervous about getting in to lifting/exercising.

When you first walk-in there are more open racks and a small field to do tire flips or walking lunges etc. the top half is mainly machines and cardio equipment. I was able to use the treadmill and watch some boxing matches which was pretty cool! The men's bathroom/locker room was pretty standard and clean. I went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't too crowded. I was able to use any machine that I wanted to without waiting. Overall a really cool experience and well taken care of gym.

There are workout sessions in the morning that you can sign up for. These classes are kept small so they are able to adjust to each members unique fitness level. When you join you are able to get a free fitness consultation that will give you a baseline of your current fitness. This includes a body scan composition. What separates Anytime Fitness from their competition is the combination of being open 24/7 and being to utilize their thousands of locations at no extra cost.
