My partner got the hot version, and it was much better because you could taste the beans more clearly. Overall, I was very satisfied with the coffee. I'm yet to try any of the lunch options, but a quick browse of the menu has guaranteed that I'll be returning to give it a go! The service was friendly, albeit a bit slow, but as I've only visited for leisurely catch ups it's never been an issue for me. I found the food to be great quality for the price and I challenge you to find a cup of coffee as good on Cowgate, although some of the staff seem a little bit unsure of what coffee is which. I expect this is just teething issues and I imagine will be rectified with time! Overall I'm really impressed with Alessio's and glad to see something like this open so close to home.
