Benny Royale - Cold Smoked Salmon

Walked a mile to try the benedicts which did NOT disappoint! Best cold smoked salmon benedict (Royale Benny) that I've had! Relaxing and trendy setting. Worth the visit!

    Mushroom and spinach eggs benny

Delicious eggs benny with spinach and mushrooms. Amazing orange hot chocolate with double shot of espresso. Lovely service. If you're in the neighbourhood, do not miss!

An outstanding breakfast and coffee, after our long travels. This charming, small cafe was highly recommended by Pipers, who have come to Glasgow many times. Pleasant place to be on a rainy morning. Service was very good. Would definitely return.

Maybe the best brunch I have ever eaten - US or UK!! If you're in Glasgow, definitely check this spot out. We had the smoked salmon Benedict and gochujang/kimchi avocado toast with a piece of carrot cake for dessert. 10/10!!!

Honey, whipped feta and ricotta with tomato, pistachio pesto, and prosciutto

My husband and I stopped in during our visit to Glasgow. This is a charming little cafe. I got the honey whipped feta & ricotta with tomato, pistachio pesto, and prosciutto and a pot of tea. It was delicious. One of my favorite breakfasts while visiting Scotland. Service was wonderful. My only regret is I did not try a cappuccino.

Indoor and outdoor seating available. Small sweet breakfast spot. I ordered an americano with oatmilk. Eggs Benedict which was delicious. One of the best ones I've had. Service was quick and pleasant. They have pastries available and daily specials. I would visit again if I'm in area.

Brunch was fantastic! Lots of great options for eggs Benedict fans! Americans, it seems that Scots cook their eggs much firmer than we do - I would have preferred my poached eggs a little runnier but it was still a fantastic meal!

    Cappuccino with beautiful latte art!

Bonus points for the unlimited coffee refills -- always a win in my book! They've got a huge selection of sweet and savory pancake combinations, or you can build your own with over 12 million possibilities (yes, really!). You can choose between buttermilk or buckwheat pancake bases -- we went with the Shakshuka Stack, which came with two fluffy buttermilk pancakes topped with perfectly fried eggs and a rich, spicy tomato shakshuka sauce. Absolutely delicious -- spicy, savory, and such a refreshing change from the usual plain pancakes. Definitely enough to share! One thing to note: they do automatically add a service charge for table service, so keep that in mind when you get the bill. If you can't get enough, they even have a location at the airport -- perfect for one last pancake fix before you fly out. Highly recommend!

Sit-down interior with tables & booths. Lovely service & fantastic food options. Great selection of coffees & other drinks as well. Fast service & ability to customize quite a bit. (Note for US customers: eggs are either 'hard' or 'runny'; no such thing as over-easy or over-well!). Also customize every little add-on, so don't pay for what you don't want -- most sides we found were enough for 2 people to share. Sweet options can be incredibly sweet, so ask questions for clarity. Lots of sweet options but lots of savory too! Delicious fresh food!

I'm not a huge fan of northern French cuisine as it tends to have too much dairy in it for my taste; however Cote are very amenable to offering alternatives where possible so I didn't have much trouble finding something acceptable. Their lunch and early evening menu is very good value for money; however we were too late to partake of that on the Friday evening so it was a la carte and the specials menu all the way! It was starting to get busy but the staff seemed to be coping well - at least until they tried to serve us with the wrong set of starters... things went slightly downhill after that. Next, my side dish of butternut squash failed to arrive with my main course of hake. Our server was very apologetic of course, and once remedied it arrived fairly promptly - or at least before the fish went cold. The next hiccup was with the order of our second bottle of wine. The first had been a complimentary one that you get on your return visit if you register with them on their website, so naturally we took full advantage of that! However, when the wine waiter brought the second bottle (recommended by the house), he erroneously said it was a Languedoc wine, when in actual fact it was from the Loire. That's a pretty basic mistake for a wine waiter to make, and blaming it on his line manager is a pretty feeble excuse that smacks of poor training. Then another flask of water arrived, although we hadn't even started the first one as they had failed to provide water glasses! Oh well, we'll just carry on with the wine, shall we? We had enough room for dessert, and at this point our ever-apologetic server surprised us by offering a half-bottle of dessert wine for the table at her own expense. Jolly nice it was too. Clearly they were having a bad night when we visited; however the actual food was top notch, the staff could not have been more attentive and apologetic, and they did their utmost to sort things out. I don't blame them for the cock-ups and it certainly will not stop me from enjoying the delicious food here in future.
