So I'm really happy to see that we have Starbucks back and a corporate location too, not just a licensed kiosk in a supermarket. The location is convenient to travelers and those shopping along Armory Drive. It's even on the same side as the Super 8 motel which I'm happy about so that when I'm visiting and staying there, I don't have to cross the street to get some coffee. The staff is friendly and customer friendly, like the rest of folks in Franklin who work at these locales. The inside is big and spacious, with plenty of seating and nice views of Armory Drive and US 58. They were fully stocked and not out of any menu items or specialty items for beverages/coffees. They even had the little green sticks that you stick in your coffee cup to ensure nothing spills out while traveling. While I'm not a resident anymore, I really hope Starbucks sticks around and that the residents continue to come and patronize this establishment. Lots of folks aren't happy with these big name corporations coming back into town, but I welcome it. Franklin could be a bustling locale for young people with families but we don't want to live here because it's so stuck in the past. This is a welcome step into the modern era and I'm looking forward to returning again whenever I'm in town.

I love an impulse purchase and each print had a QR code that took you to payment options right there. I LOVE THAT. What a wonderful way to have unique art in your home and support local artists. And not just any artist but pieces by CLAYTON SINGLETON. I recognized his work from a mural at the oceanfront. I had to stop myself from picking up the beautiful Chadwick Bosman piece right then and there. I might go back to get it because I'm still thinking about it 4 days later. When I stepped up to the counter the entire staff was friendly and helpful with their suggestions on what to get. I love my local craft coffee and was excited to hear their beans were sourced from an "up and comer" in Virginia Beach. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the provider but I'm sure we will be hearing about them more. I went with a basic black cold brew that was exactly what I needed. It is businesses like these that keep an area vibrant, diverse, and attractive. I stopped for a coffee but left feeling light and bright from the atmosphere and service. Not a DoorDash bag or individual bags for the 5 dollar meals. Missing cups and a happy meal plus a large mocha frappe. So I asked for the cups and told them they were missing a large mocha frappe. They said they don't have mocha frappes. Didn't ask if I wanted anything different or anything. So the girl handed me the cups for the fountain drinks.. I walked around the corner to get the drinks. Number 1 my bag ripped before I got to the drinks. Number 2, they had no Dr Pepper which I ordered. I walked back around the corner and told them my bag ripped. The supervisor walked over and said, that's not our fault it's yours, idk why you were walking over here anyways. I said ummm first of all, I ordered drinks with the food. I was trying to get the drinks. So I asked her for a refund. She said to me I need the card you used. So I called my husband in who had the card. My husband is a black man. I walked outside and her whole mood changed when she was nice to him but gave me a whole attitude. All I'm saying is if you can go somewhere else I would say do it. They are very ignorant to white people but very nice to black people. So racism is everywhere and not just against black people. Racism can go in any and every direction. When I inquired, the cashier was not certain about the items that come with the meal and seemed quite confused. Her manager then came to the window and was quite rude as I tried to clarify the order. He asked for the bag back, and without gloves, went through it, touching the fries. Speaking to me without even a minuscule amount of customer service on his lips, he said, "You've got everything." I told him I had ordered a vanilla shake that was not on the ticket but was on the screen when I reviewed it. I asked if I could reorder it, and he told me I would need to go back through the drive‑thru line. When I arrived home, there were fries missing, one of the drinks was a Cherry Coke instead of the Coke I ordered, and there were no sauces for the nuggets. How disappointing it is when a business does not value your patronage. I hope this review is sent to Corporate, as customer service training, particularly for management, is a MUST. Since we have only one McDonald's in our city, I implore Corporate to provide it with the support it desperately needs.
