Beware of ordering on uber eats if you live downtown. The location more reasonable to order from would have been queen st location. Not realizing I ordered, it said it would take 69 minutes so i tried to cancel the restaurant didn't answer the phone after 20-30'minutes of calling. I tried to cancel the order through uber but it would have cost me $59cad the order was $75cad. When they finally answered they said the order was already ready and couldn't be cancelled. Additionally both pizzas did not match the quality we're accustomed to from the queen st location felt like I was eating a knockoff version of north of Brooklyn pizza. read more

My friend and I spent a cozy Fall Saturday night in and what night in is complete without pizza? We took a shot and decided to finally try North of Brooklyn after various suggestions to. While my expectations bar was aimed low (I've been burned by over hyped pizza places before) my reality was outstanding. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and Vodka Verde pizza. I tried the latter first and the sauce was 'stop talking and look at each other' amazing. The crust was crispy around the end and a bit softer towards the middle, firm enough to hold its own but light enough to let the flavours of the basil pesto stand on their own. The crispy pepperoni delicately decorated the other pizza, not being able to (as if you would want to) escape having at least one piece in every bite. I cannot speak to the ambience of the establishment as we ordered in but the food was far beyond what I was expecting and I understand the multitude of suggestions to try this place out. So if, like me, you've been told to try it then just do it. read more

This pizzeria sits inside The Greater Good bar. They don't have many options, but that may be good if you have trouble choosing. The majority of options are vegetarian, so if you need your meat you will be constrained. The pizza crust is very nice - light & thin with a texture (when fresh out of the oven) that reminds me of a light biscuit in a way that other thin crust pizzas don't (quite an achievement). After a short while it succumbs to entropy like all other thin crust pizzas though. They seem inspired by Italian tradition in not having many types of pizza, and not much of each topping. Too much of each topping would overload each slice both weight and tastewise but one still wishes sometimes for more on each slice (especially given the price). I tried Killer Bee. I found the jalapeño much too spicy, overwhelming the other flavours (my experience improved once I picked it out). The calabrese sausage was nice though there wasn't much of it & the honey offset the other flavours nicely. read more

Was craving pizza yesterday and haven't had north of brooklyn in a really long time so ordered off of DoorDash to fulfill my cravings. we ordered a large truffle shuffle with garlic dip and it was delicious!! the dip was freshly made and so much better than the creamy underly flavoured dip that most pizzerias sell. The pizza was extremely flavourful and thinly made which made it throughly enjoyable. My advice is to have some napkins around because it is a little greasy but SO worth it. read more

Food: I had the pepperoni pizza, the thin crust and overall toppings was a harmonious symphony in my mouth. The outer crust is covered in sesame seeds, I thought this elevated the crust. Great Pizza, excellent service and tasty drinks. Not a bad start to dining out again! Three pizzas ordered. A couple of locally brewed beverages (drinks are ordered from "The Greater Good"). All delicious. Including mine which was made with vegan cheese. Was not a huge fan of the "next to the street" feel but with good company and great food it did not bother me at all. Pizza is my weakness. If I could I would eat pizza everyday! (I know that sounds absurd but I totally would!) I discovered NOB through a friend and really enjoyed the pies they had to offer. This location (haven't been awhile) has great beers on tap! The atmosphere inside has a great upbeat vibe aswell! The upstairs has some arcade games which I find is a great bonus if wanting to hang about with some friends. Not to mention... the garlic dip is A1! Is it weird that my favourite thing here was the garlic dipping sauce? Not to say at all that the food was terrible, but the dipping sauce was amazing! We came here after work on a Wednesday night and the first frustration was the parking - there isn't any. We ended up parking in front of the Brick just across the street which is fine, but getting in and out of there around 5 pm on a weekday was a bit annoying. Minor details right for a foodie right? Let's get to the good stuff. We ordered a kale and bacon slice, a killer bee slice, and an arugula salad with a couple of drinks. I had high expectations of the killer bee slice, and it was okay, not bad at all, not great but just okay. The kale and bacon was a bit more surprising - I don't typically like kale but the kale on this pizza was cooked to a crisp, and I'm a big fan of textures so I loved biting into something crunchy. The arugula salad was pretty good, one of the better salads I've had. We also later ordered the garlic knots with marinara sauce which I don't recommend. The garlic knots were very hard and the marinara sauce was way too sweet. We didn't even end up eating it. Overall, it was a decent meal. I wouldn't mind coming back, but I'm certainly not going to crave it or go out of my way to come back here. However, I do think that having a fresh pizza made to order might change the experience completely so I'm open to try it. The verdict? Not a must try, but if you're in the area check it out. If nothing else, it's a great vibe - laid back environment, with very friendly staff. read more

I'm very fortunate to have North of Brooklyn in close proximity to work. Just recently had the opportunity to grab pizza for the first time as they had recently changed their hours and are now open at noon as opposed to just evenings. We went in and ordered a couple of pies for the staff. They make an absolutely fantastic pizza. We got a couple of the Margherita which were made with mozzarella, basil, oregano, pecorino and olive oil. Very well made with passion and cooked to perfection with an incredible thin crust that's nice and light and airy. They offer pizza by the slice, 14" medium and 18" large with a few unique options. In addition to pizza they also have a couple salads on the menu (arugula and caesar) and garlic knots. As a pizza lover it's a must try. You will not be disappointed. read more

Love the place and the atmosphere, I come here almost every week now but today... Today was just.. lol my boyfriend and I spent a long time here today probably stayed here for 2-3 hours. We had pizza and we kept ordering drinks, we never had an empty glass while we sat there for this long, but the waiter kept staring at us towards the end of our stay, he kept staring at us nonstop, we didn't do anything but talk and drink. When I ordered the last glass of beer, the waitress decided to give me a very nasty attitude and gave me back 6$ of change in 5 cents and 10 cents lmao she just literally chucked 2 handful of change like that on the table. And on top of that the waiters kept staring nonstop. We literally did not do anything bad. We were literally drinking and eating and just talking we also made sure to only stay if there's not many people there like- we didn't want to hold up the seats if they were in demand. There were plenty of seats left the place was near empty.. so I can't think of anything that we possibly could have done wrong. Not coming back here anymore. read more

It took time to realize that I have finally grown up and don't crave any other pizza except THIS ONE. My review is for the "Commissary" location on Rogers road since that's my local shop. Pie to die for. Usually choose the kale and bacon pizza because my dreams are made of porky things, but then they went ahead and made a fennel sausage and pecorino pie of the month.....so I got that too. I've been a fan of NoB for a number of years, and made a point of supporting them during the pandemic, when restaurants and entire industries were crashing. Their pies are among the best I've ever tasted and you really can't go wrong ordering any one of them. I haven't had a bad one. Sometimes in the winter they have to be reheated when they're delivered, but that's just a factor of time and temperature, not anything that the restaurant's done wrong. So why the 1 star review? Well, for the simple reason that they don't accept orders through their own ordering system on their own website any more. Three times in the last week I tried ordering but had no luck getting through to them while using their ordering system. First time I thought I must've been done something wong--that there was something wrong with my credit card or internet connection. Next time I tried, another person I was going to eat the pizza with also tried--and we both had no luck. So last night I tried again, to no avail. I called to ask if there's something else I should be doing and the person answering the phone said that they weren't accepting orders. So I asked, was there some message on their website that said this, or, how was I supposed to know that they weren't accepting orders? The guy on the phone said that the only way to know was to phone. They he told me that they'd be accepting orders in 30 minutes, so if I could just wait, then I'd be able to place an order in 30 minutes. So I waited the 30 minutes and tried again. Nothing. Tried in 35 and 40 minutes. Nothing. So I called back and the same guy answered the phone to tell me that they changed their mind and that I'd have to wait another 30 minutes. So now with the first delay and this second delay we're now looking at nearly an hour and a half delay in simply trying to order a pizza. But then the guy says, it might be 30 minutes, or it might be longer. So I'm thinking this isn't worth it. They really don't want my business. They couldn't care less. So that's the reason for the one star: I ask a company how I can I give you my money and buy your product and they say, we don't want your money and we're not going to sell you our product, so go away. Well, I won't be asking again. What a complete waste of time. read more

Terrible customer service! They made an error in my order, which we discovered when we got home. We called to tell them. They refused to do anything, even give us a credit towards future orders. All they offered was for us to drive back to them, with the item in error, and they would change it. Total of a 40 minute drive for us. We have been regular customers for at least 2 years. Guess they don't value customer loyalty. Too bad we tipped them, and hadn't made use of the free delivery they offer. Not impressed. Not returning. read more

Finally, a decent restaurant in my Starbuckless hood. Happy to say Geary Avenue has attracted a few bright spots like North of Brooklyn. Unfortunately, it comes at a price. Personal size pepperoni pizza was $16 so it might only be an occasional destination. The crust was extraordinary, crispy and chewy with a lovely amount of burn and to my surprise sesame seeds. The sauce was a little bland and could have used some fresh garlic and black pepper. Garlic knots were also delicious.
