We had come here at around 1:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy however, there were a few tables with guests near the bar area of the restaurant. I was surprised to see how this restaurant looked; it was an actual firehall, looking quite authentic when turned into a restaurant. The servers even have firefighter uniforms on, which was something I hadn't seen before. After being seated in a booth, we had settled on the fried calamari to start, following by a cheeseburger with fries for myself, while my friend settled on the sweet potato fries and the buffalo chicken wrap. The fried calamari came within ten minutes of us having ordered. They were quite delicious, with two different kinds of dipping sauces, which went perfectly with the calamari. Next, our main meals arrived. The cheeseburger was very well-prepared, tasting juicy and appetizing. I loved the toppings, especially the in-house garlic sauce, which was a nice addition to the burger. The fries were also nice, as they were crispy, and large enough to fill me up. We then finished our meal with a delicious slice of cinnabon cheesecake, which was amazing! Service was awesome as well, as our server (with the Australian accent), came to check on us often, making sure that we were enjoying our meal. Overall, this place definitely surprised me, as I had an excellent experience in an old firehall, which I didn't expect at all. November 22/2025: Dinner with the Circle of Harmony group. Busy place in the downtown Oakville area. Menu choices were nothing special but decent. I had the "Mexican Bodega Bowl" ($23.25) with a large Canadian ($8.75). The Bowl was delicious but a very stingy portion size, didn't fill me up but very tasty as nonetheless. My dad is from Oakville, and SWEARS by Firehall. He lives in Southern California now, but he talks about this place like old heads talk about Jordan. Everytime he touches down in the city, Firehall is on his itinerary. On this most recent trip, I was able to tag along with him. One of the things I love about getting older is that my Dad has become more of a friend than just a Dad, so I get to hear about the debauchery he and his boys would get into back in the day. He just like me. Firehall is operated with the soul and passion that only a locally run, community focused spot can have. They are running 2-4-1 wing nights on Tuesdays, Kids eat free on Mondays, "Flip Your Fish Fridays" where you flip a coin for a chance to get your fish free, etc. Police, Firefighters, and EMS get 10% off every bill. I have such a soft spot for these types of restaurants that really care and are passionate about their business and community. It's their baby and you can feel it. My pops LOVES chicken wings and even said "you know your rotisserie chicken, but I know my chicken wings. This is my SPOT." He got a pound of the mild wings and looked at me sideways when I got the boneless lemon pepper. Are boneless wings not just chicken tenders? Idk. He turned out to be 100% correct though, as his mild wings were firing on all cylinders. They use fresh, never frozen meat, and it SHOWS. These are some of the best chicken wings I've had in a long time. I was really sitting here appreciating the time with my Dad after DUSTING these wings. These reviews do not do this place justice. Anytime I'm in Oakville I HAVE to come to Firehall. The place is decorated to like a fire hall down to the washrooms. There's a variety of seating, like tall tables, cushioned booths and a patio. The staff are casual but always really friendly. Now, the food is what keeps me coming back. Please really start off with the cauliflower bites and they come with a delicious sauce on the side. I'm not sure what it is but it taste really good. The wings are the showstopper though. We got 2 pounds of wings every time and you can choose one flavour per pound. I tried the honey garlic and they were really tasty but I liked the buffalo and the chipotle sauce is more. You can request that the chicken wings not be battered which is what we did and the wings were sizeable, about half the size of my palm with lots of meat on it, and it just falls off the bone. For a drink, I got a raspberry margarita slush which was available this summer, and it was sweet and I couldn't taste the alcohol. I cannot rave about this place enough. I am a regular customer at Firehall as I live across the street. I would first like to point out that the bartending staff are absolutely amazing (Andrea, Gabi and others). They have always treated me with upmost kindness and respect. As a result, I try to tip generously. Having said that, I had my first bad experience there last evening in terms of a request I had to put the Semi Finals of the World Curling Championships onto 1 of the 20+ Televisions where there was only about an hour left. I have asked on several occasions for a specific sporting event and have never had any issues before so I was i shock. You have to know I was at the bar section where I would expect some additional priority versus a family of 4 with kids in the back part of the restaurant. The issue I have was there was really no discussion or consideration. I do not accept the rationale that the manager (will remain nameless for now) gave in terms of his rationale. He indicated that there are 4 boxes (ie probably over 20 television sets) so he was limited. He indicated that his priority are the 4 sports (Hockey, Baseball, Basketball and Football). There was the Leaf game and Habs game so I guess that took half the options away. I tried to get clarity in terms of professional sports only as the basketball was American college which I guess is higher than Canada playing in a World Championship curling event???? He indicated that there was a group there to watch the Habs play so what if I had brought in a group of guys to watch the curling. Would that have changed anything as it would have brought in more money. So, bottom line, is that I don't buy the rationale he used and am extremely disappointed as I can guarantee no one would have even noticed putting on the curling for the last hour instead of regular season game 5 of the 162 games for the Jays. I am really figuring out whether I want to go back anytime soon which is so disappointing as I truly enjoy the place and most of the staff. I am not asking for anything but more transparency and flexibility in terms of decisions made for what to put onto TV especially for patrons at the bar looking to sit quietly and enjoy some sports on TV. read more

Of the restaurants in Bronte, this isn't the usual place I would pick for myself. The places like Plank and Cove are far more what I look for. That said, I was going out with a baby and this place was perfect for a family friendly environment! This place is not fancy. It's a bar and grill doing things like wings and beer right. I went with chicken tenders in honey hot wing sauce while my brother-in-law got the mild wings (roasted, not breaded) to start and mac n cheese as his meal, my sister got the chicken clubwich with a poutine and the baby got chicken tenders and fries. Of the options at our table, nothing stood out to me as being exceptional. The wings were the best out of the bunch though so if you're eating here wings are better than chicken tenders...and most other options. Do I think we will be craving any of this food anytime soon? Probably not, but you can be confident whatever you get here will at least be decent (think Kelseys/Jack Astors). What I really liked is that the restaurant was great for having the baby. The staff was very accommodating and got his meal out quickly. They were okay with him making some noise and even called us when we forgot his sippy cup when we left. I often worry about bothering other patrons when we're out with the kid but the vibe here was very laid back and low stress for that type of situation. The staff was also very accommodating of my brother-in-law's allergies. He is anaphylactic to peanuts and soy protein. The former isn't usually an issue but the latter can be complicated. The staff here were patient and great at checking everything to make sure he could eat it. My brother-in-law is also a firefighter so he enjoyed looking around the building where they had all sorts of firefighter paraphernalia (old and new) on display. If you're looking for a bar and grill type meal with wonderfully friendly and kind staff, this is the place for you. read more

Ate here with my boyfriend and some of our friends. Boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Chicken Bowl and i had the Southwest Salad. We shared the appetizer of Pork and Kimchi Potstickers. The Buffalo Chicken Bowl was alright but the pieces of chicken was pretty tough but seasoned well when asked to dress it with hot buffalo sauce. The Southwest Salad was pretty good and filling. But, the grilled chicken was a little boring however size portion was quite fair for the $18 price tag. The dressing tasted more like a salsa for chips and didn't taste of any lime citrus flavors. The potstickers were pan fried perfectly and came in a bamboo steamer. There were 2 dipping sauces of soy sauce and hot sauce. It was very good but not spicy kimchi tarting. Overall, the food was alright and came quickly. Might have to come back to try something else on their menu. read more

I went there with friends Saturday afternoon. The place looked great and the servers friendly. My friends ordered the Fish and Chips and a pizza. I asked the waiter for suggestions and ordered the Tuscan chicken. We all got our food and I began to eat mine. The potatoes were undercooked but the chicken was horrific. It tasted like it was cooked last week. it was tough and inedible. The sauce was a gloopy mess. I called the server over and told him that I wouldn't feed this mess to my dog. He suggested I reorder something else, which I did and it was just ok. Nothing was comped and I paid for the replacement. Honestly the worst dish I have ever had at a restaurant. Love the new location! Great decor and an awesome view of the hockey game from every seat - even in the dining room. Went to The Firehall on Friday Dec 28th. We made a reservation, but didn't need one as the restaurant wasn't very full. To be expected between Christmas and New Years. The bar was busy though! We were seated right away by a sweet hostess and our server came right over to take our drink order. The service was quick and our server was extremely friendly. She made excellent menu recommendations which were a hit by all. The 5 layer dip was good, but we wouldn't get it again. It just seemed like a lot of sour cream and cream cheese with not a lot of tomatoes and cheese. It was good and we finished it, but we would try a different appetizer next time. Two people at our table got the curry bowl. They both loved it. It had tons of flavour and just the right amount of spice. Served with rice and naan bread. For the others, 2lbs of wings and a basket of onion rings were ordered. We chose Honey Hot and Honey Garlic for the sauces. Both were amazing! The wings were a good size - we ended up taking some home. The onion rings didn't really have any crunch to them, very soft, but had good flavour. None of us ordered alcohol and the bill came to $100 for the meals and appetizer. Definitely will be going back to try more items on the menu! read more

Our family of 5 found this spot on our first night in Canada. We were exhausted after two days of traveling from North Carolina. We were staying in an Air BnB in Oakville and wanting to eat a local restaurant. So glad we stopped here! Our three girls (ages 7-15) can be hard to please (especially the oldest who just adopted a vegan/gluten-free lifestyle), but everyone found something they loved on the menu. Living here for 20 years, I've only been here once. And that was ordering a takeout for a Superbowl years ago. Fitting that this review is being made on Superbowl weekend. This is highly regarded as the best wings restaurant in Oakville, so me craving for wings and not wanting to drive far (We usually go to All-Star Wings in Confederation, across from Square One) I decided to check it out, to put that 5-star Yelp rating to the test. It's a huge restaurant: Bigger on the inside than what it perceived on the outside. We were seated at the back. Chloe, our waitress, was great! She told us about the Friday fish and chips special they had tonight, which was enticing, but our minds were settled on wings. (There were a couple that sat at the table next to us, who ordered the fish and chips and to my surprise, it was HUGE. I was shocked. What was impressive was that the batter was thin and the fish itself was huge. Usually most places like to deceive the customer by making a thick batter and the fish small. But this place perfected it. I will most definitely have that next time). Glad to see they have Guinness here (Which is my favourite beer), but I was craving for something light. Settled upon Coors Light, which was a good choice, because when the wings came, boy, were they huge too! We ordered the Buffalo Butter and the Stupid Hot. As you can see from the pictures I posted, they separated the 2 flavours. The Buffalo Butter had a nice taste, will most definitely order that again. Now, for the Stupid Hot - It was hot. The first couple bites, I could feel the heat. But nothing extreme. But as I kept chewing, the hot sauce seemed to get hotter and lingered in my mouth and my lips were on fire. My gf and I enjoy hot food and this particular hot sauce was tolerable enough to finish. But I don't think I'd order it again. MAYBE I'd ask for the sauce on the side next time. And will definitely ask for it saucy! (Which they charge a dollar for. Why?) My gf prefers the wings small and also prefers the wing. With the basket of wings they gave us, there seemed to be more legs than wings. I'll see if next time I can ask for the pieces evenly. I know I'd probably get a bad look, which is understandable. But I'll never know unless I ask. What's stopping me from giving this restaurant a 5-star rating are two things: Their fries and blue cheese. First of all, the fries weren't crispy and lacked any sort of seasoning. I had to add a lot of salt to it. Which is a shame. Also, their blue cheese sauce was non-existent. It didn't taste like blue cheese at all. I don't even know how to describe it. I'm guessing because blue cheese is such an acquired taste, that they did something to it that didn't give it that distinct blue cheese taste. Please fix this for those of us that love blue cheese! We couldn't finish our meal, due to the chicken wings being on steroids. So we brought the wings and fries home. Wandered in as we had to kill some time while our son was at soccer practice. Were promptly seated and a server at our table immediately with some ice cold water. Menu skews toward burgers and wings but at our server's reco we ordered the chicken curry. Wow! Not expecting a place like this to serve up a curry that tasty. Came with a generous serving of naan bread and basmati rice. Absolutely delish! Plenty of screens for sports enthusiasts and a good selection of premium beers. For those with mobility issues, no stairs to navigate coming in and the washroom is on the main floor. Gave it four stars because parking is not great. Definitely be back soon! read more
