I ate here with my partner last Friday night and the food was mindblowing! He had a juicy fillet steak cooked to perfection and I chose the monkfish with braised oxtail (yum!) with an exquisite almond and apricot tart between us for dessert, it was obvious it had all been prepared and cooked with love. There was so much attention to detail in all aspects of every dish however the menu was quite limited. We were informed by our waiter that daily specials and midweek set menus would be on offer from the following week which entices us to go back.
We both had an 'all saints' champagne cocktail to start which was a scrumpscious mix of gin, raspberries and champagne, and a bottle of Argentinian Malbec with the meal. All of this came to just £90, which we agreed was great value for money considering what a lovely meal we had. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and knowledgable about the menus but also knew when to leave us alone.
One downpoint was that their late night lounge downstairs attracted more of a 'drinking' crowd rather than people coming to the restaurant (which is a great shame due to the quality of the food) and there was only one other table dining that night so the atmosphere felt more bar like than restaurant. We went at a good time, at 7.30, as the bar began to get busy at 9-10 with 'drinkers' as we were finishing up.
We were given a voucher for a bottle of wine on the house when we next went to dine so are going back in a few weeks with some friends for a Sunday roast. The waiter boasted their roasts to be 'the best in west London', so watch this space and I will let you know! read more
