BEWARE!!!! Philip Davis came to service my AC unit because it wasn't cooling. He claimed the…read morecapacitor was bad because the fan wasn't turning which I thought odd since it was the first thing I checked before calling him and it was working fine. He changed the capacitor, added Freon and billed me $173.00. The house started cooling down and I took a much needed nap. When I woke up it was 85 degrees in my home. I checked the air handler, which he never even looked at, and the fins were frozen over. I called him back to let him know what was going on. He said I needed a new unit and told me the Freon must have leaked out. I asked him why he had not tested for leaks before adding the Freon and he said he just didn't. It was obvious that he did not plan on coming back so I said "So I just wasted $173.00 for nothing!". He said pretty much and these things happen! I will be reporting him to the EPA and just wanted to warn anyone else who might be contemplating using his services. I am on a fixed income as many seniors are and I can ill afford to be ripped off. SHAME on you Mr. Davis!

Called another company, they came out the next day, and had the problem diagnosed in less than 10 minutes. Turns out that split units have and indoor and outdoor units, who knew?!? Apparently not Penn and Son because they never checked the outside unit and that's where the problem was. Telling customers to go somewhere else isn't good business.

After calling someone on the weekend and paying $650 to have the tank pumped, I though we were back in good shape. Nope! The lower level of our home has a kitchen and its sink would barely drain! When I used the upstairs kitchen sink water would back up in downstairs sink! My husband tried snaking it and bought 2 industrial strength drain cleaners but nothing worked. I found Kevin on yelp & gave him a call. I also called 2 other plumbers I found on yelp but Kevin was the first to return my call for help! He came to our house that same afternoon & arrived an hour early too! I'm not exactly sure how he fixed our problem but after working an hour he had it working again! The fee wasn't dirt cheap, but it was definitely not over the top expensive either, it was a fair price that I was happy to pay for this job he did so well!
