Took me a sec to find the front door, but as soon as I walked in it was really cool. Chill music playing, nice comfy seating, relaxing vibe. A++ for ambiance. Ordered a cappuccino, it was just ok B- on that drink. Hard to get acknowledgement I was actually there from the barista/bartender so I could order. I would come back, but approach register/bar a bit differently to get service. C- on service at that time from that guy. This was over winter time 2025, so maybe staff has changed since then. Ummmm 2.5. The space is beautiful and the vibe is Vibing. The baristas are so sweet and nice. BUT unfortunately I tried a specialty latte and tasted none of the flavors. When I get a featured drink my hopes are high, and I want to taste the syrups and not just plain coffee. Very nice coffee and cocktail bar. Very well decorated. Nice seating area both inside and outside. Check their website but I believe the bar opens up at 4:00 PM, which then means the 21+ age requirement kicks in. Even before the bar opens, you can still get some adult drinks by ordering from the counter. I have never tried the coffee so I can't speak for it. They did have a small bar snack menu. I haven't ordered from it in about a year. Hopefully it is still available. Note, this is in the Soda Pop district. You are street parking, Ubering or walking. read more

Very cute place! Went on a Tuesday at 6pm and it was poppin! Sat at the bar by myself. Took a while for the bartender to come over, understandably so due to the crowd. Cool looking place, upscale decor for a coffee shop with a sound system and records playing in the back corner. That was the most impressive of my visit. Coffee is from Casa blanca. I got a Matcha tea which was decent. They didn't have any coffee self-serve station set up with napkins or anything. They had some pastries, mostly from Wilmington bread company, and 2 pastries from Pie slayer. The pastries were given at room temperature. They could've gone an extra step and warmed them up like another coffee place I know. I tried the blueberry muffin with basil and black pepper streusel and a chocolate croissant. They did not taste good cold/room temperature, but after I warmed them up myself later, they tasted a lot better. I didn't care for the spiciness from the black pepper on the muffin, otherwise apart from that, the muffin was soft and not overly sweet. The croissant was not the best croissant I've ever had but still a solid croissant and filling for breakfast. It would be cool if you could request a song to be played from their records available but they don't offer that. A guy is there just playing his personal records. Relaxing jazz music was playing during my visit. Nice place to hang out, otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

About a month ago, I met some friends here for breakfast and coffee. This place is like cafe order at the counter style. The staff are nice and patient when you're finally deciding on a burrito to go with your must have latte. The ambiance though is a stylish lounge! Cool built in shelves of records. The Ibis Bar has a spacious, classy interior fit for a coffee date or nighttime drinks. We ordered an Iced Black Sesame Latte. We couldn't taste much of the black sesame flavoring, but the espresso itself was pretty good. Ever since I had tried their chocolate croissant I couldn't stop thinking about. This means I HAD to come back again the following week! This time I ordered a mocha latte which had a beautiful latte art on top. The coffee was standard and the perfect temperature. I got the chocolate croissant again because I was obsessed the first time i tried it here. This time i also tried a bagel and cream cheese. It again was pretty standard but the presentation was key. I love the absolute vibe of this place. There were plenty of different people there either chatting, reading in their book club, or working on their computers. We just heard about this spot and the idea of craft cocktails + awesome music (DJ spinning vinyl) made it an easy sell for Saturday night. We got there around 8:45 and it was packed. We put our name in, wandered to another spot never door to chat with our friends. It was a bit of a wait, but we got a text at 9:30 that there was a spot for us. They were flexible with us shifting to a cozier location on the couch so we in turn we're flexible a bit later when they wanted that area for a larger party (and we shifted to a small table). Service was friendly and efficient. Drinks were priced comparably to most spots but I'd say the atmosphere really takes this one up a notch! I had the Ibis and it was the perfect mix of strong, sweet and balanced. He had the No. 5 with a bullet (martini) and appreciated that they serve a small portion with a side portion portion on ice (as pictured). We had a great time sipping, chatting and vibing with the music. Even got a third drink "to share" that I can't recall the name - a tiki one with rum and gojuchang. Trust me- try it!! Spicy, a bit sweet and complex! I'll definitely be telling my friends about this spot and planning ahead for the wait when we go back! read more

The concept of this place is definitely unique: coffee during the day then cocktails at night. It feels like a lounge all day long with records all along the wall. I've only been during the day for coffee and sweets since kids aren't allowed after 4pm but the coffee I've had was good! My husband has been back twice for cocktails while a local DJ was spinning and said the drinks he's had have always tasted great. The staff I've encountered so far were friendly & my drink was prepared pretty quickly. Even during the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday, it was pretty packed & every table inside was taken by a small group. I can imagine it can get more crowded at night. My husband did also say that they will reserve the couches for larger groups. Overall, definitely a good atmosphere & cool concept. I will certainly come back when we have a babysitter! read more

Service was nonexistent. They have tables outside which are pet friendly, but if you are alone with your pet there is no way to order. When I went in to try, one lady didn't even greet me, just said" you can't have dogs in here whom I could have claimed him as a service dog but that isn't for me. I understand no dogs allowed however she wanted me to leave my dog outside in an unsecured area just to order a latte when there are 3 woman just standing behind the coffee bar with their hands in their pockets. I asked if they had someone that would come take my order and, without a thought about it, she said no. I asked for her name and she just shook her head. I would have understood had they had a line or been swamped with orders, but neither was the case. Poor customer service at its finest. read more

I was very eager to check this place out so when my friends told me to meet them there for their birthday I was excited. We had a group of about 12 of us. The environment was super cool everyone talking and drinking and music playing. After a drink we were asked by the DJ "can you guys be quieter"... we're at a bar? Ridiculous thing to say in a drinking environment. The group immediately left. The bartender was friendly. They had three special drinks on the menu one being an espresso martini. I typically get espresso martinis when I'm out so I went with that. For $14 I was hoping to have a decent drink only to find out it's premade on tap and it wasn't even a full drink. I could have taken it like a shot. Cool environment if you want overpriced drinks in a library setting. read more

when i first heard about the ibis i knew it was going to be a place i would really enjoy. not only do i enjoy music overall but have visited gravity records several times so seeing a collaboration between them was exciting to see. my first time at the ibis was definitely the most welcoming and played a big part in me continuing to come and grab a drink & have a chat with friends. i love the atmosphere, the music, & the cocktails always hit the spot. after the first time visiting, i started, realizing that the customer service and interactions overall were not that great. i tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and assume that they were possibly having an overwhelming and busy day. i will go ahead and mention that i am very respectful when it comes to me going out to public spaces. i have always been very good with my manners and would say i'm more patient than most people in our world these days. so for me to feel the need to say anything about this should say a lot in itself. i've been to the ibis about five times at this point and ever since the first time i have not been greeted with a welcoming vibe whatsoever. i'm not expecting much from the staff but basic phrases like "hey how are y'all doing?" or "how's it going?" are never used. not even a welcoming smile or anything. not only that but it seems like they stare at you & wait for you to say something first. i will also mention that this isn't only during cocktail hours. i've been there during coffee hours and the staff during that time seem to be the same. i really love this spot. it's an awesome place to have a casual drink or just to listen to some good music but i'm writing this because not only me but friends that have been there with their own friends have also had negative experiences with the staff. i have nothing against the staff, maybe they've just never worked a customer service job & don't realize that your body language and energy does affect the people around you. i just hate that i don't feel like can fully enjoy my time here when there's so much negative tension between the customers and staff. i hope there can be a meeting where this could be addressed, but overall beautiful spot and looking forward to future events. read more
