The Ibis is such a cool spot! We went on a Thursday and their special was tiny tini with caviar. Dim lighting, lots of records to play, comfy couches.

Old Fashion

Very nice coffee and cocktail bar. Very well decorated. Nice seating area both inside and outside. Check their website but I believe the bar opens up at 4:00 PM, which then means the 21+ age requirement kicks in. Even before the bar opens, you can still get some adult drinks by ordering from the counter. I have never tried the coffee so I can't speak for it. They did have a small bar snack menu. I haven't ordered from it in about a year. Hopefully it is still available. Note, this is in the Soda Pop district. You are street parking, Ubering or walking.

The Ibis Bar was absolutely amazing. We had a great coffee and Old Fashion cocktail in the early afternoon. Once we saw they had turntables and vinyl records for an evening of music, we decided to return that night. The evening cocktails - gin martinis, were fantastically made by the bartenders and the DJ was awesome. Will definitely be back when visiting the area again!

Very cute place! Went on a Tuesday at 6pm and it was poppin! Sat at the bar by myself. Took a while for the bartender to come over, understandably so due to the crowd. The cocktail menu isn't my vibe but fun choices. Absolutely love the concept of buying a cocktail and having access to the grazing table full of apps!

About a month ago, I met some friends here for breakfast and coffee. This place is like cafe order at the counter style. The staff are nice and patient when you're finally deciding on a burrito to go with your must have latte. The ambiance though is a stylish lounge! Cool built in shelves of records. Beautiful tall bar in the center wall. Def could be a monthly experience.

Really cute place. The best matcha I've had in a while, definitely recommend. Fast service.

Iced Black Sesame Latte

The Ibis Bar has a spacious, classy interior fit for a coffee date or nighttime drinks. We ordered an Iced Black Sesame Latte. We couldn't taste much of the black sesame flavoring, but the espresso itself was pretty good. We really enjoyed Ibis's atmosphere and their fun rotating flavor option but would probably find ourselves heading elsewhere for coffee.

Kewl spot- good coffee- fair prices ~ very nice ambiance. I wish I had ordered my latte extra hot and they had more bagels- but ce la vie.

Lovely. Excellent ambiance for a coffee date. Crowded and urban feeling- love it. Definitely coming again.

chocolate croissant

Ever since I had tried their chocolate croissant I couldn't stop thinking about. This means I HAD to come back again the following week! This time I ordered a mocha latte which had a beautiful latte art on top. The coffee was standard and the perfect temperature. I got the chocolate croissant again because I was obsessed the first time i tried it here. This time i also tried a bagel and cream cheese. It again was pretty standard but the presentation was key. I love the absolute vibe of this place. There were plenty of different people there either chatting, reading in their book club, or working on their computers. I am aware that they had cocktails too but I have yet to try them!

The Ibis and No. 5 with a bullet

We just heard about this spot and the idea of craft cocktails + awesome music (DJ spinning vinyl) made it an easy sell for Saturday night. We got there around 8:45 and it was packed. We put our name in, wandered to another spot never door to chat with our friends. It was a bit of a wait, but we got a text at 9:30 that there was a spot for us. They were flexible with us shifting to a cozier location on the couch so we in turn we're flexible a bit later when they wanted that area for a larger party (and we shifted to a small table). Service was friendly and efficient. Drinks were priced comparably to most spots but I'd say the atmosphere really takes this one up a notch! I had the Ibis and it was the perfect mix of strong, sweet and balanced. He had the No. 5 with a bullet (martini) and appreciated that they serve a small portion with a side portion portion on ice (as pictured). We had a great time sipping, chatting and vibing with the music. Even got a third drink "to share" that I can't recall the name - a tiki one with rum and gojuchang. Trust me- try it!! Spicy, a bit sweet and complex! I'll definitely be telling my friends about this spot and planning ahead for the wait when we go back!

Nothing like this in Wilmington, spinning only records and Coffee during the day and Cocktails at night. We've had their coffee and Cocktails and can say that they did not disappoint with either. Creatively named crafted cocktails and coffees that will make you want to stay for Lunch!

The place is beautiful. But the coffee wasn't very good. Got a drip coffee and a latte. Service was not too friendly.

It clearly stated that you are supposed to order from the bar, so first sat down to look at the menu. The one bartender working was kind enough to stop by the table to let us know she was ready to help us. They allow simple complementary tastings so got a thimbleful of their whiskey and limoncello. Ordered a Von Moscow Mule ($10) and a Regulator Whiskey ($12). Good pour. My team wasn't playing, so wasn't really interested in what was on the TV (unlike most others in the bar). Instead, enjoyed the live music while sipping on our cocktails, and left once done. It was a good stay.

Smoked Old Fashioned was on point. Met both owners (characters!) on their way out as we came in on an early Tuesday afternoon. Took home two bottles of their originals to enjoy. Want a place to just sit, drink and enjoy time off? This is the place!

We shared a bottle of Whites Bay Sauvignon Blanc. We mentioned to the waitress that it could have been a touch colder (we like it icy) and after pouring us a small glass each she took it back to the blast chiller to cool it down more. It came back cooler and we put it on ice at the table. One of our favorite ways of eating sharing small plates. We started with a dozen oysters (6 from NC and 6 from SC). They were very good and the sauces that came with them were a nice compliment. Next was a nice arugula salad with some goat cheese. It was perfect for the 2 of us. Then came the "mains". We had Octopus with polenta. Not tough or chewy and the polenta was a nice compliment. Mussels in a nice white whine sauce were nice an garlicky and the bread that came with for sopping up the broth was perfect. Final "main" was beef tartare with a marrow bone. My partner does not like marrow so it was all mine and it was spectacular. Finished the night with a mini creme brulee that we shared. It was served in a little demi cup and it was just the right size bite. Our table was on the 2nd floor and it was a great atmosphere. Even though it was full, the room was not too loud that we couldn't have a nice conversation. Here is the best part. Our server, Nikki, was one of the best we have had at any restaurant. A little personality, just attentive enough and brought out our dishes just as we had asked them to come out. Couldn't ask for any better. Was our experience cheap? NO but if you have a special occasion or just want to treat yourself go to Circa 1992!

I rarely write negative reviews, but our recent experience at Blue Post was so unnecessarily poor…read morethat it warrants one. We visited as part of a wedding party on a celebratory night, moving from our rehearsal dinner venue to Blue Post to continue the evening with the full group. What should have been a joyful occasion was marred by an egregious display of arbitrary authority from one of the front-door staff. Upon arrival, 2 members of our party were finishing their drinks outside, a common and reasonable practice before entering another bar. One individual finished his beer (which he set down outside on a table at The Ivy) and attempted to enter. The staff member at the door, who had visibly watched him finish it, refused entry. This was not about policy enforcement; it was the beginning of a clear power trip. Rather than joining the rest of the wedding party, our friend went next door to The Ivy, where he enjoyed a drink and danced for about 20 minutes. He then returned to Blue Post, was screened by two other staff members without issue, and was allowed inside. He was simply talking with friends when the original staff member sought him out within the bar and ejected him--for no discernible reason, no violation of any posted rules, and no disturbance whatsoever. The decision appeared entirely personal and capricious. For context, the bouncers at The Ivy (literally next door) were stunned when we recounted the events. They confirmed there was no law or standard rule being broken and found the handling of the situation baffling and unprofessional. They also saw him drink and set the drink outside, but had no problem with him entering their establishment multiple times. In an industry built on hospitality, especially in a social setting like a bar during a wedding celebration, this level of pettiness and lack of basic customer respect is disappointing. A single employee's ego should not dictate the experience of an entire group trying to celebrate together. We spent money at Blue Post and expected a night of fun, not an exercise in arbitrary exclusion. I would caution others, particularly larger groups or those celebrating special occasions, to consider whether this is the right venue. There are plenty of welcoming bars in Wilmington that understand how to balance reasonable policies with good judgment and basic courtesy. Unfortunately, Blue Post fell far short on this occasion immensely. I've heard many same sentiments about this place from locals.
