What a cool place!?! My friend and I stopped by for a drink after exploring the Aquarium down the day. The vibe is warm and inviting when you first come in. They had lots of seasonal coffee offerings listed, but we were here for the wine... and a cookie... AND a cinnamon roll! Both of which they warmed up for us. Alicia was the one who helped us decide on wines. Her recommendations were excellent! We also bought a bottle of a white Pinot Noir at her recommendation, so unique! Definitely not something you see every day. They had tons of local beers on tap, so if you're not into wine and coffee that might call to you more. I tried a taste of the Taco Lime which was like a Mexican lager. It was pretty good! I can't wait to come back and check them out again. read more

Not freshly made. I ordered a hazelnut latte and a few other drinks from the drive-thru. They tasted and looked like flavored milk. We all went inside to ask to add espresso which was then poured from a premade pitcher. Still tasted very off. I'm not sure if the espresso machine is broken or if the is normal practice. I wanted to provide this feedback for the owner in case they weren't aware. read more

For us, we've enjoyed this little place over the last couple of years for occasional coffees or beer/wine. Last visit, dogs loose and running around, we shrugged it off as a one off event, but left after the one round. Today, again, two large dogs loose and roaming around. My wife is allergic to fur dogs, I'm allergic to people who think we all need to fawn over their fur baby, we left soon after walking in. Business's, especially those that serve food, have gotten too loose with letting customers treat every business as their personal dog park. We'll go elsewhere. read more

Cute Coffee / Wine / Beer shop on the island. Love the vault concept of this old bank restored and what they did with the actual vault part of the shop is adorable. The staff was friendly, coffee drinks were delicious and reasonably priced & it's dog friendly. We saw a beautiful dog in there that you could tell had been in there before and greeted him with a pup cup. This new coffee place offers coffee from Crimson cup (Ohio based), wine, beer, drive-thru as well as an indoor seating area and bar seating area. Inside they have a vault filled with wines. I tried a cappuccino with skim milk and it tasted good. This will be a nice place to catch up with a friend or a quick way to get coffee to-go. read more

Coffee review only.... SUMMARY: Well, it's OK. Nothing to write home about. Will I go back? Yes. Why? Because I haven't found another place around that's convenient on the island! LOCATION: the heart of "town" in Carolina Beach. Off a wildly busy road. It's a small building on the northeast side. There's a drive thru which is very convenient. There's a parking lot. I don't see any other coffee specific locations in the immediate area unless you cross over the bridge. (They serve more than coffee btw) - I'm still looking! The menu through drive through lists a lot but I'm stressed there's no seasonal or special coffee options east to ascertain. Full service at drive thru except for prep. SERVICE: It can get busy and the staff seems relatively young. So they sound enthusiastic or just doing the job lol. Hey I was young once working that way and some days I loved it and hated it! Overall they are all nice and it's quick turnaround. COFFEE: it's OK. I've had better to be honest. I've been here 3 times (I always give it 3 attempts) to make sure my prior experiences make a rating under 3 stars accurate. The first time I had a regular iced coffee and I took advantage of some options for flavor and sweetness. Meh. Didn't finish. The second an vanilla iced latte. Same thing. Better taste but it was not a smooth espresso like I've had in other places. The third I was really disappointed. Tasted almost burned. We found the vault while looking for coffee and it was some of the freshest and best tasting we have found on the beach. It is a must stop when visiting Carolina/Kure beach. The service was extremely helpful and leaves sweet messages on your cup. The Vault is also very convenient with a drive-thru. read more

This place is a harsh reminder of why we sold our second home on The Island and only return a couple times a year to visit friends. Stopped by the Vault Tuesday, June 3rd for music bingo. Arrived at 4:45pm (bingo starts at 6:30pm) and every table in the place was "saved" with a water bottle or bag. There wasn't nearly as many people there as there were tables saved. The staff said we could sit at the bar...we just took our party of four elsewhere and we won't be back. Not very welcoming. Recommend supporting other businesses. read more

Went through the drive through for some coffees. Staff was friendly but it took a while to get our drinks considering no one was in front of us. I got a large iced white mocha with lavender, half sweet. It was very milky so I would recommend extra espresso if you would like a more coffee-y drink but the flavor was good. I love the cute little building. It's open, welcoming and inviting. Lots of variety from coffee to beer to wine. They do have water, don't worry. The servers are amazing. Owner was here and sweet as could be. Madi is very sweet and kind and helped me with what I wanted to drink. Chatted it up about nothing in particular while my husband was on business calls at the hotel. I will probably be back tomorrow, TBH. If you are close, check this place out. It's friendly for all. Staff was extremely rude, uninterested in providing a simple, Good Morning or acknowledge a paying customer. Came here a second time after letting the owner know a few weeks ago that their coffee was really watered down. Went a second time and Ordered a quad espresso over ice with oatmilk through the drive though. As we were driving away we tried it right away knew it was an iced coffee- i was a barista for 5 years. I brought it back in and asked them if they used iced coffee. After I insisted it was not espresso, they finally admitted it was an iced coffee concentrate. They finally remade it but what a pain. We live here so there are not a lot of good coffee places and we wanted to support a small business but I don't recommend. read more

Great location, friendly and professional staff, good prices on both common and hard-to-find wines, a great beer selection! The only negative occurred on two successive visits, having full pours of four different draft beers and observing the bartender pull a flight of four other beers, and having them all come out quite still. I asked the staff if the bar gas pressure was dialed way down for some reason, and i was told that they dont "mess with the pressure". I interpret that as a management failure, lack of training. Otherwise, a great place, and I'll stick with their excellent wines! read more
