The last time I was there, they were collecting food donations for a local pantry, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. A group of six of us went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was crowded, but we didn't have to wait long to get our skates. The way it works is that the ice skating rink is free, but you have to pay to rent skates. If you own your own skates, then, the experience is completely free! To rent skates, you wait outside in front of a little booth and get a wrist and then go to the window next to that one and say which size you'd like. Despite the rink being crowded, the wait for skates was very short. Service was friendly and efficient. The skates weren't the highest quality, and they use ski boot like buckles rather than laces, but I can't complain given the convenience and price. The ice rink gets smoothed over/cleaned using a Zamboni every so often, and when that happens, you can stand by fire pit stands (I'm not sure what they're called?) or sit on the benches right outside the rink. We stayed for about an hour and a half to two hours and had a good time. This is a great activity for families and friends alike!

They're fun and keep my kids going and my kiddos are asking to repeatedly return daily. I also like the quality of their skate rentals that come with a class sign up! They are comfortable and my kids enjoy wearing them and after just few classes are getting the hang of things. Their stuff is super fun and nice and keep my kids wanting to come back next week. I'm glad we did ice lessons here!

We are here fairly regularly for youth hockey and it is accommodating, spacious, with plenty of…read moreparking. The restaurant, Avalanche grill, delivers tasty bar food and decent wine and beer. Never tried any cocktails. Service is friendly. The viewing area temp for watching hockey isn't too cold. The only reason for the 4 stars is on our recent visit there was residue from duct tape on almost all the bleachers on the side we were watching the hockey game. Made it super unpleasant to sit since you would literally stick to the seats. Yuck. There are lots of other opportunities here like laser tag, ice skating, and some kind of training area, probably used for the Avs! If observing any event here, you'll be pretty comfortable and well fed!!! Hopefully they scrape off whatever is stuck to the seats for more pleasant seating.

Our daughter took ice skating here for a while and loved it so we decided to give their parties a try. My wallet appreciates the low $6.75 admission cost for the 1ish hour public skate session. Add another $6 if you plan on renting skates. +2nd star is for the hours. They are one of the few rinks that offers several public skate sessions throughout the day, even on weekdays!! +3rd star is for the league game hours. Sounds silly but when the latest game I have to worry about my BF playing is at 8 pm, I'm a happy girl. Over all the ice is alright. It has it's good days and it's bad days. Weekends are definitely crowded!! I tend to go on weekdays during either the 10 am session or the 1 pm (all depends if I sleep in!) to avoid the crowds. Though during the weekdays you run the risk of school field trips. For the adult rec hockey league experience I would be tempted to lower my rating if this was all that I was basing my review on. I have definitely experienced better. The stands almost always have trash strewn about. Several of the refs just don't seem to pay attention to what's happening on the ice, while another was on a power trip one night calling I don't even know what (he extended a penalty by two minutes because the door to the box was slammed closed, WTF?! You have to slam them to close them.) It seems they let things get a bit out of hand with the games. They offer an online payment option for fees that the team really enjoyed. I'm sure that I'll continue coming here because of the hours public skate is offered, but I look forward to my BF's team moving to some new ice.
