My husband and I are from Louisiana and trying to keep skating alive! We bring our own ice skates made in the USA. For the past 10+ years we have made it our goal to skate in each state. Also, I enjoy a shiny smooth hard ice floor to dance on. On any night you want to ice skate in the USA. I advise you to check out their online site. Many ice rinks allow skaters to buy tickets or sign a risk waiver to skate before arrival. The positive energy at this rink was exquisite. Thank you for being the best ice-rink in the Denver area! I love the ice-skating shop for any ice needs.

Well this was a dud! We came here today with our seven kids ages 11 and under for our daughters birthday and before we got there we called to make sure they had the little helpers for young kids and they said they did. Well to our surprise after paying and getting down there they only had TWO and one was already being used! Our kids ages 5, 4, 3, 8, and 11 ended up sitting out because they couldn't skate. What an absolute waste of money. We went to Ice Ranch days prior and our kids loved it so much we decided to try ice skating again but were highly disappointed! I do not recommend this place. The one helper we did have was metal and didn't glide on the ice. I ended up having to help the kiddos by picking up the front half because it kept getting stuck in the ice.

Thumbs down for not having "Live Barn", all the major Ice Arenas have it so people who can't be there can watch their children play....

I really appreciate how the rink is set up. The center is clearly marked off, which helps keep people practicing doing middle work from drifting into the main traffic flow. It makes the whole floor feel more organized and safer for everyone. The rink itself feels like it's on the larger side, so there's plenty of room to skate without feeling cramped. Adult nights are especially fun. They lean more into electro and dance music, which keeps the energy up. Pricing is reasonable, and I love seeing how they give back to the community. The last time I was there, they were collecting food donations for a local pantry, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. There's also a back room with video games and a smaller practice space that's separate from the main floor, which is a huge plus if you want to work on something. Around the rink, there's plenty of seating for breaks, with storage cubbies underneath, which is super convenient. Overall, it's a really solid rink with a great atmosphere and a strong sense of community. Definitely worth checking out, especially for adult night.

It's definitely could use some updates, especially the floor, but that's the trade-off for having some of the lowest entry prices you'll find anywhere. I've paid double at other rinks. One thing I really appreciate is that they only charge for rental skates if you actually need them. I've been to other rinks where the price is the same whether you bring your own skates or not. It's nice not paying for something I don't need or want. When you skate as often as I do, those savings add up fast. It's honestly getting harder to find affordable entertainment these days, so I really appreciate having a place where I don't have to give up my hobby just to make ends meet. It's also a great, healthy activity. I really value anything that gets me moving and away from a screen. The staff & management are friendly, they try to play music everyone will enjoy. The bathrooms are clean and there's a shelf with cubbies along the wall for your shoes and belongings, but lockers available if you prefer to secure your items. My only real criticism is that I wish the rink floor was cleaned more often. There's been quite a bit of gum on the floor recently. At the end of the day, this place keeps roller skating accessible and affordable, and that alone makes it worth it.

The outdoor rink has a roof and is exposed on one side, but with the green tarps in place - the weather element was negligible (at least in October). Seating for the indoor rink is great. The outdoor rink only has a few metal bleachers, but you can walk around the rink to spectate from the side of the player benches. Be prepared for some mud and wind though (it rained the weekend I watched games). Their is a snack bar inside that carried plenty of junk food options and one of the local saloons setup a burger and brat stand in front of the main entrance (smelled great, but I did not try anything). Quite a bit of parking, but I expect it is harder to find a spot during ski season.

I was towed along with the grandkids, Uncles and Aunts to an "outdoor skating rink". I was looking to find the cute little skating rink envisioned in those quaint ski resort villages of movie yesteryear. Instead, I thought we were walking into the local hockey training facility when I was pointed in the back for the outdoor (coooooold) recreational area filled with kids, parents, and a couple of uncles dancing to a "Blades of Glory" skating scene. Sheesh, can't take these guys anywhere. The skating round and round quickly found that 10K feet is hard to skate like at sea level. A lot of gasping for air was going on. Also, the uncles and aunts commandeered the learning blocks from all of the young kids, and that mostly led to our dismissal and pointing us to the door. Staff were cool. They need a bar. Dicks

A group of six of us went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was crowded, but we didn't have to wait long to get our skates. The way it works is that the ice skating rink is free, but you have to pay to rent skates. If you own your own skates, then, the experience is completely free! To rent skates, you wait outside in front of a little booth and get a wrist and then go to the window next to that one and say which size you'd like. Despite the rink being crowded, the wait for skates was very short. Service was friendly and efficient. The skates weren't the highest quality, and they use ski boot like buckles rather than laces, but I can't complain given the convenience and price. The ice rink gets smoothed over/cleaned using a Zamboni every so often, and when that happens, you can stand by fire pit stands (I'm not sure what they're called?) or sit on the benches right outside the rink. We stayed for about an hour and a half to two hours and had a good time. This is a great activity for families and friends alike!

You are immediately greeted by the admission hut but the entrance is so big, if you have your own skates you can just keep walking. However, please keep in mind the money they charge is for upkeep and future equipment! There is one main rink and then a bunch of rinks split up where people play outdoor hockey. There is an ice "trail" that connects to each rink too. I actually preferred skating around the trail itself and you can really experience how big Evergreen Lake really is. Keep in mind this is an outdoor rink and not a nicely zammed sheet of ice. You'll get bumps, dip and everything in between. Some people with boots were really inconsiderate and walked on the ice. This puts huge dips in the ice... not cool! If you have never skated outdoors this is definitely worth an experience. Getting on the ice and how congested the bench gets isn't too worth it but experience it once to say you did it. For anyone that doesn't want to skate, grab a coffee, hot chocolate and/or cider and walk around the trail on the outskirts. Overall an ok experience that should prove fun for the family.
