Little hole in the wall with hot dogs, liver mush, ice cream etc. I got the hot dog all the way and the toppings were perfectly portioned. Very affordable. Bring cash , extra charges for cards. read more

This is a five star place for sure!! The food here is fantastic!! This is a locals place, one of those roadside treasures that we all know and love. You go up to the window and place your order ( I love the chuck wagon sandwich- a serious guilty pleasure) and then you step aside and wait until your name is called or they wave to you. It's just a really cool, old style place that barely exists in our culture anymore. I just love their food, which is made to order just for you. And it's worth the wait- which is never very long! read more

I'd say just stick to the ice cream. Its Hersheys, you can't really mess that up...until you find bits of plastic in the center. That's kind of a bummer. Their prices are great for sure. But their food leaves a lot to be desired. Their corn dogs are frikkin massive and could be awesome if it wasn't served barely luke warm in the center and dripping with fryer grease. Their cheese fries are plentiful and they don't scrimp on the cheese sauce, which is nice, but...its actually overload and the sauce was like the center of the corn dog...luke warm. Just eiwww. Not appetizing. So, I'd say there's some potential, but it's just not worth the risk. read more

Great local spot, delicious burgers & hot dogs! And whole lot of shakes , sundaes & ice cream flavors. I can't say I've had a bad experience here it's busy at times but your food is cooked to order so it's fresh! Let's just say imagine that a couple middle school kids ran a restaurant. That's what you have here. It's been decent in the past but there is never anyone past the age of 17 or so working. My order took 35 minutes to get, it was incorrect because the girl taken my order didn't hear one item I ordered, and one of the hotdogs was frozen when we unwrapped it. Best BBQ sandwiches in the area, everything is good. A little pricey sometimes but worth it.

I love Icey Freeze. My wife is from Lenoir, so we make it over that way pretty often. I'm a huge fan of their burgers and fries, but the thing that does it for me is the milkshakes. Hand dipped from real ice cream, and made like I used to make them when I worked in an ice cream stand 30 years ago. It's a near required stop when I'm in town, especially now that they take cards. read more

I've lived here all my life and this place use to be a go to for delicious burgers when it was owned by the previous owners. Now I couldn't be more disgusted by their food. The burgers are tasteless, the place is disgusting dirty, there are dead bugs everywhere, the bathroom didn't even have a bulb so you had to go in the dark! Last time, and I mean the very last time I was there I got a grilled cheese. How in the heck can you mess up a grilled cheese?!? By toasting not 'grilling' and adding a quarter cup of mayo to it. I thought this has to be a mistake and took it back to the window. They said oh they don't grill the grilled cheese here they toast it. So I just asked nicely if they would mind grilling it for me. The poor woman acted like I wanted her to pull a goldfish out of her mouth. They didn't offer to do anything stating again that 'here' we toast it. You can keep on toasting them but not for me!
