I needed to get my bloodwork for my annual physical checkup. Melissa was really friendly and nice to me. I told her I hate needles and she made me very comfortable by telling me that she was going to use a baby needle and a butterfly to minimize any pain or discomfort. The procedure was easy and painless. I was very happy with it. The network of laboratories in MA and RI, offer full-service, stat/urgent testing, and most reference testing, as well as comprehensive anatomic pathology and cytology services. I fully recommend. Free parking in front of the entrance.

The best thing to do is go all the way to the back (Lower level) and park back there, RIMI has their own doors and that's where they are located. As we walked in, there was a nice receptionist ready to help and within a few minutes, my husband went it. It took a bit longer than expected for the proceduere, but once he was ready, I got a call on my cellphone to park along the front curb and pick him up. He came out with a full report with pictures and instructions. Very professional, very efficient.

I did not like the fact that it took hours to finally get a doctor. I was triaged in the hallway…read morenext to the nurses station. Complete with phones ringing and nurses talking loudly and with very bright lights shining down into my eyes. There were only 2 people in the ER. It was a Sunday evening and there was only 1 doctor in the entire ER. Finally after an hour I got an examination room and an hour later the doctor came in. Mumbled a few things , did a quick exam and left. I got nothing for pain. The room was cold and no blanket was offered. He looked like he didn't want to be there. The call light worked but nobody came and I needed a urinal bad. The TV remote was not working and I was told that other remotes didn't work either in some of the other rooms. 2 hours later still nothing. I finally left my bed and went to the nurses station and I told her to call me an ambulance as I wanted to leave. She said that I couldn't leave and to go back in my room and that's when I asked her if there was only 1 doctor available for the entire ER. She didn't even answer me verbally but nodded her head indicating that there was only 1 doctor available. Once I got back in the cold room without a blanket a new patient was brought in on a stretcher. She was having some kind of mental crisis and was screaming at the top of her lungs. Wouldn't you know that they rolled her stretcher right at the entrance to my room and left her there. It went on for about 2 more hours. My labs had come back and I was out of range for my blood level ( I'm on a blood thinner) so the nurse gave me a vitamin K pill to swallow and a ginger ale and she was pleasant and asked if I wanted a blanket and I asked her for a urinal. The patient that was brought in screaming had still not received the attention of a doctor. My nurse asked if I wanted the glass door closed due to the loud patient in front of my room. This was at around 10:00 pm. With the door closed the noise from the loud patient was muffled enough for me to get some sleep. At 4:00 am the ambulance arrived to take me back home. I never saw the doctor again and the ambulance EMT's removed my IV and off I went. It was so desolate in the ER that night. No friendly nurses to wave to and thank. It was eerily quiet as I was being wheeled out. I didn't like my experience at all

Went to East Greenwich location on 3/13/24. There were 2 customers there complaining they…read morecouldn't get waited on. I approached counter and staff member said, take a number, wouldn't even look up. Ok, so I became seated, and before I knew it, there was like 20 customers there, several walked out. Not sure what happened, but no one was being called. After waiting 15 minutes, an elderly couple approached the counter and when the lady complained about the wait, the employee started yelling and called for security. This employee was way out of line, she started the yelling. As it was finally my turn to be waited on, I waited half an hour, someone was called before me, I told the receptionist who had made a mistake in who was to go next. This location is at 1454 South County Trail, definitely will not be returning.

Entered this place at 1515 Smith St for the first time because my doctor insisted I use a lifespan…read morelaboratory. When I arrived I found the place deserted. I knocked and after a few minutes a window opened. I felt as though I was interrupting them. After the initial greeting, I was instruct to sit in the adjacent room. There were many chairs, but having had blood drawn many time I knew what chair I should sit in without instruction. The technician soon cam in while still chatting with the other technician who was still in the greeting area. My blood was drawn while they continue to converse with each other and certainly not paying much attention to their patient. They were even criticizing their employer referring to Lifespan as "cheap". When the drawn was down the technician removed the needle not looking at the injection site, but rather looking towards the person he was talking to. Withdrawing the needle was extremely painful. Seem as if it was withdrawn at a bad angle. The picture shows the end result
