Years ago however, this clinic was less than stellar under past ownership, but now it's been GREATLY improved. The office and rooms are super-clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly and caring. My experience was like 'night and day' compared to prior visits. A big positive was the short waiting time...At most walk-ins, you can expect to wait almost an hour to be seen. My waiting time was at most 5-6 minutes. I also didn't have to sit in the patient room for very long either. I was immediately greeted by a friendly nurse and the doctor (Daniela Turacova) just a few minutes later. Dr. Turacova is simply one of the best medical doctors in Rhode Island. Her bedside manners are second-to-none and she's very accommodating. She will ensure that you'll feel better and the time spent with her never feels rushed. It's apparent that she truly CARES about your health and well-being! By comparison, at many walk-in clinics I felt like I was just a number at a deli counter. East Providence Medical has earned my business and trust, and I would encourage you to give them a try. I couldn't have been more SATISFIED with my visit....They are HIGHLY recommended!

Cons: The wait is exceptionally long considering the patient-to-staff ratio. It's an $80 flat fee to be seen without coverage, which is reasonable. They didn't pressure me to do x-rays, but upon the doctor's recommendation and being told that the x-rays were usually around $40, I decided to do one, and my foot was indeed broken. They fitted me with a walking sandal and an Ace bandage and I paid another $55 upon checkout, which seemed extremely reasonable. I recently received an unexpected $270 bill. No itemization on it and they didn't apply the $55 I paid at checkout to the balance. I have no idea what I'm paying for. They told me when I checked in that x-rays were around $40, which is the main reason I opted to have one. Even if it was $40 per view, they only did 3 different views. I'm not pleased with this place. Probably would've given them a 3 or 4 stars before. Thanks to this, they're getting a 2.

So since you have to do it anyway, you may as well have it done by the best. "I don't always have colonoscopies, but when I do, I do it at Bayside Endoscopy Center."

I went to get my COVID test here (asymptomatic - just precautionary for travel purposes) and I had…read morea fairly pleasant experience. 1) You have to make an appointment beforehand to schedule a "screening." During the screening, a nurse calls to ask some basic questions. Then, another nurse calls and asks you to schedule a drive-by test. She tells you how it will work and what time to arrive. 2) The toughest part about the test was finding the place! To find this on the GPS, type in 3620 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI. Otherwise, you will be zooming past it and not know where to park. 3) I spent maybe seven minutes waiting behind two other cars. A woman greeted me and had me show her my driver's license. I then drove up to the tent. There were two people in gloves and N95's. They gave me a pamphlet and made a few jokes. They seemed pretty perky for people administering tests. She told me that they would be "tickling my brain for a couple seconds." I appreciated the humor. 4) The swab was tiny. Probably the width of two hairs. It was in and out of my nose in two seconds. Not very painful, but slightly uncomfortable. They put the swab in a plastic bag and told me that they would call me in 3-5 days. Overall, a good experience. I was nervous going in, but the staff made me feel comfortable and didn't treat me like I was some kind of infectious monster. My insurance covered it, so it was free for me with no copays! I'll definitely go back if I feel like I need a test again.

I was due for a checkup Jan 2015, and I found this group, 12 minutes from my home in Cranston. I called on Monday morning at 8:00 and I had an appointment scheduled for that afternoon. Twice since then I have had an "emergency" --horrific cough, and sciatica. Both times I have been seen that day with 1/2 hour the most I had to wait. I have seen my PCP 4 times and the two occasions where I needed to see someone that day, I saw two different Docs and they have ALL been wonderful. They are all women and they all do family practice. OBGYN, Pediatrics, and adults. Try them----you'll LOVE them!!!!!

I had special requested a pediatric anesthesiologist that I know well which they were able to accommodate and who frequently works there. The other anesthesiologist is the Chief. They called me multiple times a week or two before to remind me to do the online portal paperwork (super easy) and quote the copay amount due. Check on the day of was a breeze, they had called us the Friday before with the time (8:50) which was good as she couldn't eat or drink anything. Not sure if the trend to put the little ones early for this reason but it worked in our favor. The staff was truly incredible, they talked us through how the day would flow and each and every person from the desk check-in to the nurses and doctors were wonderful. I couldn't help but cry when my LO went to sleep and i had to exit the OR but they reassured me and were kind, and the whole thing was over in about 15 minutes. The recovery room staff was wonderful as well and it was just lots of moms/dads holding their little ones who either just got their tubes in, adenoids or tonsils removed (in same cases both). They followed up promptly the next day as well. Thank you ENT Center of RI for the remarkable experience.

Being in healthcare myself, I could tell this surgical team got along, and worked well together. And to me, that's the most important part to any successful surgery! Dr. Koenigs and the doctor who was the anesthesiologist (forgot her name), were both top notch. They were very professional and efficient. If your child needs any sort of surgery, the team here cannot be beat. Thank you again for the doctors, nurses, and front desk staff who really hit it out to the park.

Poor service all around! My initial appointment I waited in the waiting room an hour and a half…read morebeyond my scheduled time, watching people come in well after me and they were seen right away. I was told "Oh you're next" several times. I honestly felt like I was on a hidden camera show. Once in the office I waited another hour... for no physical. Only a "Hey how are you, nice to meet you. We are so busy, see the front desk to schedule your physical. I can refill your rx medication so have them fax me your old doctor's prescription!". This cost me $90. Beyond unacceptable. I then scheduled my physical... which was around 6 months. My refill did come up, and it was denied. Apparently I was supposed to go a Dermatologist? Never was told that, never given any information on that. Was told I was called (I would remember, and I see no emails or voicemails as of right now). The receptionist also said "oh we told the pharmacy", which wasn't true. The Pharmacy said it was denied with no reason given. I ended my term as patient (I genuinely feel like I wasn't one so no big loss) and honestly don't know if they cared. The medical assistant gleefully said "We can deactivate you as a patient!" Business must be good so they can treat new patients this way.

Like anything, I suppose it matters on the day and the provider…read more I have been here 3x. Once for someone else, and they did a great job and escalated their care quickly to the local hospital. When I was here last, I was in and out in about 1 hr. The visit today, was another story. I was told there were only 3 people ahead of me. However, I spent over 3 hrs, waiting and waiting and waiting. I waited for the doctor, I waited for the phlebotomist, then I waited for results... Which didn't show anything. Nearly 4 hrs is a long time to wait. The doctor discharged 3 other people who came in after me ahead of me. He said, "sorry, I went to the wrong room" when he finally returned. I had asked another staff member to check on the wait and she did not ever come back to give me an update or let him know I was waiting. When the nurse came to discharge me, she gave me a diagnosis that he had not shared with me. She went back to ask the doctor and learned that the diagnosis listed was incorrect. He then listed another diagnosis on my paperwork, which is also incorrect. The entire experience was frustrating.
