Traveling cross country with my teen daughters we booked a room after going through Yellowstone (long haul so we were a little exhausted and got in late). We were greeted with "You know you booked a pet room"... well, no, I didn't but I need to sleep so sure no worries. I was not expecting pet room to have carpet, but it did, but the room seemed clean if not dated, and the beds were comfortable. There are multiple buildings so I got a little confused finding our room but i think that was a product of my exhaustion more than anything. It seemed quite and the ac worked well. The mini fridge had a compartment for a mini freezer area but it did not get our ice packs refrozen over night. Over all it did the trick and worked well for us. The "breakfast" was funny... a brown paper bag with either an apple or banana, a random granola bar and a bottle of water. But hey, it was inexpensive and a place to sleep that felt safe... so... read more

This hotel deserves zero stars. I had a reservation with my service animal and was treated extremely rudely by the help. The person at the desk was talking about how he couldn't figure out how I would have a disability which go to show you that he has no manners or brains.He tried to raise the price of my room. They claimed that they only have so many rooms for service animals. He put someone on the line who claimed to be the manager who was extremely rude as well.. He nearly broke the computer being so rude and angry. I spoke to the manager later and he said that he would give me points so that I could have a free room elsewhere, but he never did it. he claims that his staff was stupid. When I complained to Wyndham, a Different Person , who said they were the manager called me but he said he would give me points and did not. I have no plans of ever staying in this hotel again. read more

We are on the last leg of our trip. This was by far the worst hotel we stayed at in 2 weeks. The front desk is rude. I called to confirm our request for a ground floor room because my husband is a disabled veteran who can't do stairs. When we arrived with our dog who is really training to be his service animal, the man made the remark, 'they all are' when I told him the dog has already completed two classes towards his certification. We were switched from a disabled king room to a double queen pet room. Why does a pet room have carpet if it's a pet room? The stained carpet was disgusting. There weren't any blankets on the bed except for a thin ratty one between two sheets. No comforter, and we froze. The toilet was broken requiring a visit from maintenance. The guy didn't bother to wash his hands after repairing it and proceeded to touch the door knobs. The grounds are disgusting weeds everywhere, I got chiggers walking through the grass with the dog. This is not a pet friendly hotel. There's no designated area to walk them, no poop bags and the so called pet rooms are gross. I'm calling Wyndham. read more

My wife and I stopped on the way up to Jackson late at night. Got a room that was very clean, very comfortable, and very reasonably priced. They offered to block our bikes up for the night, which they did. It is well more than I would have expected after driving through the middle of nowhere for two hours Got a complementary breakfast, they even had an espresso machine. Oatmeal and you hurt with berries were great. read more

Someone needs to get rid of the ridiculous pictures that advertise this hotel. Also nothing like having one person checking in a dozen people with more coming in. Wait in line about 20-30 minutes it longer. Manager should have fully staffed the checkin because there is a wedding party with small children, folks from Cycle Greater Yellowstone, bikers, and NOLS hikers. Kind of unbelievable. Not enough staff to clean rooms before checkin knowing the hotel was full the night before. Not a happy camper. I may improve my rating after I get through this ridiculous line and get my breakfast and drink coupons exchanged. BTW no luggage carts anywhere. Others needing to get a clean room. I feel lucky. This place was great! Even though the power went out while I was in the shower... most everything else made up for it, and hey, they water was still hot. Beds: soft, big good squishy (yet firm) pillows, and plenty of blankets. Price: $100 for a busy weekend night with two $5 vouchers off food/beverage for dinner/breakfast or for the breakfast buffet. NOTE; it's a buffet, treat it like one. They say it opens at 6:30, get there 10 min before, otherwise, you're better off with the 'made to order' stuff. Restaurant: they boast one of the best in town, but really, if you want to actually visit the town, walk down the block to the main drag and get your self some better ambiance and more options. Location: Ideal, right on the main way in and out of town. Easy to find, and within a short walking distance to town. Overall: If you want a clean, good night sleep, SPEND THE EXTRA $25 AND STAY HERE. Trust me, I tried saving money the next night and I had to adjust some standards... read more

The hotel service and staff were great but a warning to all cyclists, the city of Lander has a bike thief. Make sure to put your bike in your vehicle or in the hotel storage room. My mountain bike was stolen off my van last week in the back parking lot. It had a thick cable but the thieves are using a portable grinder tool to cut cables. The local police officer told me that 5-7 bikes are stolen each week in Lander! Keep your bike safe. read more

I give this hotel five stars simply for the wonderful people who work here and their impeccable customer service! On our way to Yellowstone, my husband and I hit a deer in the middle of the night, which banged up our car pretty badly. We thought our vacation was over when we were forced to turn around and spend the night in Lander (thinking the worst--that we would have to wait until morning and get a tow 5+ hours back to Denver.) We ended up spending the night at the Inn at Lander after finding out almost all of the hotels in town were booked up. When we arrived, the front desk attendant was courteous and sympathetic to our situation, and even gave us a break on our room rate. In the morning, the front desk attendant even personally called around to several auto shops for us, until she found someone who could help us. The shop we ended up at (Rodney's Collision and Custom) took us in, treated us like royalty, and after assessing the damage, assured us that with a new battery and turn signal, we could still salvage our vacation. The people in this town really know a thing or two about human decency--so refreshing! read more

This place by far had the worst problem solving skills. I had to wait a hour and 15 minutes to check in. There was a issue between priceline and the hotel. Instead of figuring it out I heard from the staff how they don't like to use priceline. And that I should be more prepared while traveling.. I never had any issue with priceline until that day. The one staff member asked about our sleeping arrangements and gave us a dirty look when I told her it would be fine since my wife and I were sleeping together. The beds were old and uncomfortable. Stayed one night traveling on business. Got a good rate on Booking.com. Prefer to stay at local places when I can, but sometimes get burned. This one was good. It was a large, very clean room with a kitchenette. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast the next morning was excellent. The only drawback was noise from upstairs. I am significantly hearing impaired and if I could hear it with my hearing aids out it had to be pretty loud. Was short-lived so no need to call the front desk. Will stay there again next time I'm in the area. read more

We stayed here for the eclipse with a 3 night demand. Reservations were made over a year ahead. We requested a main floor room and were assured we had a main floor room because there isn't an elevator. Our room was actually on the mezzanine level (4 steps up) unless you knew to enter by the back door which had no lighting which we weren't told about. The room had no refrigerator and no microwave. It was clean and quiet. The breakfast was free and good, but only to $7.00 each at the restaurant which is connected. They told us they didn't have laundry facility onsite. They actually had new units that weren't ready. Book with caution. read more

I travel a lot for work, and usually try to stay at Best Westerns for some consistency - I'm a gold member in their rewards program. So my review of this particular BW is based a lot on comparison to the others I've stayed at. The woman at the check in desk was very nice and friendly when I arrived, but did not give me any information about breakfast the next day (or indicate that I would need vouchers as another reviewer mentioned). Additionally, I made this reservation the week before and faxed in my company's authorization and credit card information, and received a fax confirmation on my end. When I called a couple of days before I arrived, they said they had not received anything from me. Fortunately, I had a copy of everything with me. But if I hadn't, I would have been totally screwed. When I woke up on my first morning there, I went to the front desk and asked where breakfast was. They told me it was in the building next door, so I went over to grab some juice and a muffin - or so I thought. Like I mentioned before, I was not told about or given a voucher for breakfast. When I went over to the breakfast area, I did not see a buffet or specific breakfast area for guests of the hotel. What is over there is a restaurant called Wildflour Cafe, which seems to be one of those places were all of the older folks of the town come and eat breakfast and have coffee together. There appeared to be only two ladies running the whole thing, and they were very nice but seemed so overwhelmed. I ended up getting a mediocre mocha and a delicious sticky bun, but only after I returned to my room to get some money because I did not go over there initially expecting to have to pay for anything. Now the rooms. It is rare that I have ever stayed at a Best Western that does not have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Imagine my surprise when I arrived here, and neither of those was in my room. So if you're traveling with food expecting to store it overnight in your room, I hope you have a cooler with you. Because otherwise you're out of luck. And if you thought you would just heat up your dinner rather than going out to eat, think again. For someone who travels a lot for work and has come to expect certain things from Best Westerns, this was really disappointing. It seems especially odd considering that this particular Best Western is designed for conferences and the people who attend them. Usually, one of my favorite things about traveling and staying in hotels is the big comfy beds and lots of pillows. There were certainly lots of pillows, but the beds are overly firm and were not very comfortable to sleep on. I think another reviewer mentioned this as well. Again, I think this is so disappointing because I usually have such a good experience when I stay at a Best Western. I don't know if I will stay at this hotel again, I may try to find another hotel that better meets my needs when I am in this area in the future. read more

DON'T STAY HERE Not a great facility..it's starting to show its age, but worse is the apathetic response we get from the staff. Outdoor pool with no lights, we are told "I can't get to them at this time." No more reason or concern for their guests safety..we took the kids out immediately so they wouldn't get hurt. E literally could not see them in the water. New HI Express in town..we will be there tomorrow and will check out a day early. read more

This was a great stay!! Room rate was $89, then we received 4 tickets for breakfast and 2 drink tickets to be used at the restaurant. Our breakfast for 4 came to $.73 after all the tickets were used. Excellent breakfast just made the stay in the inn that much better. Nice clean room. read more

Showed up super late at night with 12 other people. The woman working the front was very nice and didn't bat an eye at our large, loud group. Definitely deserves a three star for that alone. Worst restaurant experience ever. We had breakfast here three days in a row. Each day breakfast lasted approximately two hours, largely due to the 90 minute wait between placing an order and getting drinks or food. The last day it took 75 minutes for my 2 and 4 year old to get juice, my coffee never came, nor did my husband's bacon or toast. Each day it was a full restaurant with one waitress who was also the cashier and one cook. Food was not great. Watched 3 separate families leave after waiting 30 minutes to get menus. Even a 'free' breakfast is not worth wasting half your vacation day waiting for an omelette. read more

This is a great hotel. We have stayed here the two times we visited Lander. We will be heading back there in a week and would not consider staying anywhere else. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The staff is welcoming and accommodates all of our needs. The breakfast and cookies in the evenings are delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. We are from Los Angeles and usually stay at four star hotels or better. This hotel is highly recommended and should be at least a four star. read more

My family and my sisters family stayed at The Inn at Lander July8,2016. Two rooms,four people in each room. The rooms were fine but, there is NOT complimentary breakfast, as stated in the web site. You get two vouchers for $7.00 @ and must pay for the other food. I asked the attendant about it and she said they have been doing that since January 2016 but no one has changed the web site!!! WHAT!!! The pool was excruciatingly cold for adults and children alike......the bottom looked dirty anyway. Probably would look around better next time read more
