Two queen room
Debra R.

A covid compliant hotel in WY with masks required in the lobby. Rooms are older but spacious, and have great views overlooking the creek, and were clean. Rooms have microwaves and fridges.

hope they don't think we did this!

Super disappointed, we had to put down a $20.00 deposit because we used cash, only to find a used washrag over shower head mold growing around fan in bathroom and the sink must leak because floor is wet and has a little give to it like you could fall through floor soon. Was really hoping it would have been a quaint establishment but lesson learned

Great wall mounted Roku television with HDMI cable. The flooring and bathroom tile looks great. Good clean finishes and paint. Room was spotless when we checked in. Small fridge and hot water kettle with coffee/tea is a sensible and welcome touch. Bed and linens feel luxurious and are comfortable. Keyless contactless check in is a nice feature. The not great; The size! Seriously, our "overnighter" single queen room was so tiny. I mean it was by far the smallest single queen room we experienced in a 10 day road trip through CO and WY that included 3 similar vintage renovated motels. There were NO tables and NO countertops in the room. No place to sit an ice bucket (which they provide and we kept in the sink). No place to put a drink or cup of tea/coffee unless you want to have it in bed (there was also only one chair). No place to put grooming items in the bathroom. Just felt really poorly thought out. Lastly - this room was so expensive compared to similar lodging we stayed in. And by similar I mean vintage motel renovations so much alike that these people must all watch the same mid century motel reno YouTube channel. This motel was fully 2x the price - and less than half the room in terms of space and thoughtful design - as a nearly identical motel we stayed in. I mean right down to the window shades and the FLOR tiles. The Lander Motel was by far both the priciest and our least favorite stay out of 8 different lodging choices on this trip. It was definitely in last place among the 3 mid century renovated motels we stayed in. Honestly, this place may have suffered from comparison - but we would have had the same issues regardless. It just doesn't function well. At least this type of room didn't for us as a couple. Maybe the larger rooms have more functionality. We just felt that the experience didn't justify the pricing. We unfortunately won't be staying again - or recommending it to friends.

Extremely clean and recently renovated with style. Very comfortable. Just arrived but so far so…read moregood

Traveling cross country with my teen daughters we booked a room after going through Yellowstone…read more(long haul so we were a little exhausted and got in late). We were greeted with "You know you booked a pet room"... well, no, I didn't but I need to sleep so sure no worries. I was not expecting pet room to have carpet, but it did, but the room seemed clean if not dated, and the beds were comfortable. There are multiple buildings so I got a little confused finding our room but i think that was a product of my exhaustion more than anything. It seemed quite and the ac worked well. The mini fridge had a compartment for a mini freezer area but it did not get our ice packs refrozen over night. Over all it did the trick and worked well for us. The "breakfast" was funny... a brown paper bag with either an apple or banana, a random granola bar and a bottle of water. But hey, it was inexpensive and a place to sleep that felt safe... so...

The person at the desk was talking about how he couldn't figure out how I would have a disability which go to show you that he has no manners or brains. He tried to raise the price of my room. They claimed that they only have so many rooms for service animals. He put someone on the line who claimed to be the manager who was extremely rude as well.. He nearly broke the computer being so rude and angry. I spoke to the manager later and he said that he would give me points so that I could have a free room elsewhere, but he never did it. he claims that his staff was stupid. When I complained to Wyndham, a Different Person , who said they were the manager called me but he said he would give me points and did not. I have no plans of ever staying in this hotel again.

They are doing a lot of perks to help drive business like free dinner, breakfast, to go bags, and more. However, I was stressed out with a late flight that there wouldn't be someone to check me in. The perks only last during the week. I think that you should provide it everyday or gone. Just be consistent. I would recommend a stay at this establishment.

When we were ready to leave, they had blocked the hallway with cleaning carts and garbage cans. They cleared the hall halfway to allow us to push the luggage cart to the elevator. We were exiting an accessible room. What if one of us had been in a wheelchair? I have never encountered this kind of rudeness and disrespect at a hotel in my life. The front desk staff pretended to care, but it was part of a pretend-nice attitude that we also received when checking in. The cleanliness of our hotel room was not what it should have been, and there were small problems, such as a hole in the blind, scuffs on the walls, a robe hook about to fall off the bathroom door, a toilet paper holder that didn't work. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. It's supposed to be upscale, but it is all just a veneer.

Finally, he called someone on the phone who was able to locate my reservation. IN the meantime, I looked around the lobby: dirty walls, smelled funky, worn carpet, and fraying furniture. This place is nothing like the pictures they post online. By the way: the Best Places rating they brag about online is from 2018! When I spoke to the person on the phone, I told him I did not want to stay and asked if I would be charged if I chose not to stay. He said "NO" I would not be charged. I left and found another hotel in town for my wife and I. Now that I am home, I checked my credit card and see that I was charged the full amount. I called the Motel to discuss and spoke to the same person as before: he lied and said we never talked about canceling and he never said I would not be charged. I am disputing the charge with my bank. Bottom line: this is not a nice place and is staffed with people who only want your money. Read the recent reviews of this property and move on. It is not what is represented.
